📌 BUILD UPDATES (view replies for more): As of patch 417,127 (April 23, 2024), this build has received some HEAVY nerfs to its damage. Whispering Marble and Dried Clay Ring both took a slight hit to its damage while Ahanae and Singed lost their multiplicative modifiers (additive now). Additionally, there's been DOT nerfs across the board (Fetid Wounds, Tainted Blade, Twisting Wounds, and Pipe Bombs ALL got hit). The crit chance from Ritualist's and Challenger's damage perk both got cut in half (total crit chance from Archetypes went from 20% to 10%). Finally, Sparkfire Shotgun received a slight nerf to fire rate and reload speed. I'm pretty disappointed with how much they gutted the damage of this build and for DOT builds in general; hopefully they make some adjustments moving forward. As of patch 408,516, Twisting Wounds' Bleed DOT has been fixed. Blood Jewel has also been fixed. Additionally, I no longer recommend Stone of Malevolence as it has received a significant nerf to its mod gen (devs confirmed it was previously bugged). As of patch 399,597, the Affliction trait has been (mostly) fixed . I highly recommend swapping Band of the Fanatic with another ring of your choice. I prefer Ring of the Robust to increase the build's survivability which is especially important for co-op Apocalypse.
After testing the Maelstrom Mutator on the Sparkfire Shotgun, I highly recommend it as an alternative to Fetid Wounds. With Maelstrom you gain 20% increased mod gen and up to 30% flat damage. By switching off Fetid Wounds you'll lose the extra DOT and crit potential; however, running Maelstrom also allows you to switch off the Ranged Crit Chance Relic Fragment to one of your choice (I recommend Skill Cooldown). Thank you to Gleisle from the Remnant Discord for suggesting Maelstrom! If you'd like to see the Mutator testing video, you may find it here: ruclips.net/video/m1W2JOL-SJk/видео.html
@@FrostM89 yes, you are correct. There are some tradeoffs if switching to Maelstrom. However, the mod gen alone from Maelstrom is enough to consider using it over Fetid Wounds. Maelstrom = INSANE mod gen + consistent flat dmg Fetid Wounds = another DOT + more crit potential
Yeah bro do you think you could update it or make a short or comment? Out of all the different builds this is by FAR the coolest build I've tried and no one explains it as well as why things work well together as you do @@dudleygg
It's honestly just so nice to see someone posting a build video, who properly understands the game mechanics and how each amulet/ring effects the archetype you're using. Kudos to an amazing build.
I want to start by saying this build is incredible and has made Apocalypse difficulty substantially more achievable. One minor suggestion: Burden of the Departed works a little better than the Singed Ring. Burden of the Departed increases all damage dealt by 10% ( including status effects) while reducing your total relic charges by 33%. This is an acceptable sacrifice given that the Tranquil Heart is mainly useful as a passive relic. By using Burden, you keep the 10% bonus whether or not your first shot comes from the shotgun
Thanks for sharing this build, I don’t have a rune gun yet so I messed with things a bit: Krell+stormbringer, spark + twisting wounds, nebula+killswitch, flash caster or swiftness(I feel so slow). This has got to be the most comfortable build I’ve played,
I just got ritualist to 10 last night, just coming back to the game since release. I only have about 3-4 archetypes maxed, but ritualist might be the one to pull me away from medic. It’s so insanely fun and the damage is just absurd!!
Hands down my fave build in the game Im playing it with dendoid amour with knotted chest piece for unlimited doges in combat but still getting 40% Dr. Running with overload on sparkfire and corrosive on tech22. For anyone who likes run and gun shotgun builds I cant recommend this enough.
Best thing about eruption builds is you can use it without line of sight, allowing you to e.g. play hide and seek with venom or clear mobs around walls. I run ritualist/challenger as a skill spam build with 75% cd and I am very happy with the playstyle. Less tanky than yours though.
I know Shotguns gets a bad rep in this game, But I Love fighting in Close Quarters in Remnant here's what I use I'm sure I'm missing out on alot of damage because of things I don't know about the game, if you have any ideas that can improve this build or a build that's more optimal I would love too see or hear it. I like the Gun play more than Mods personally. Consumables ( Bark Extract + celestial thaen Fruit ) Quick Slots ( Ammo Crates, Slow Grenades , Debuff Grenades, Bleed Grenades) Ford's Scattergun ( Hotshot+Twisted Wounds) Hellfire ( with the mutator that replenish ammo for both weapons ) Smolder ( with the mutator that replenish 5% ammo for both weapons) Talisman of the Sun Singed Ring Zanias Malice Provisioners Ring Stone of Balance Challenger/ Rampage+ Handler/Attack dog Traits: (Strongback + Kinship) Vigor, Endurance, Spirit, Expertise, Fortify, barkskin , Handling, Blood bond , Rugged all + 10 Relic: Enlarged heart ( mythic Ranged Damage, Mythic Weak spot Damage, Mythic Stagger damage) Armor: full technician set with Navigators Helmet. Knowing that Shotguns have no range my entire plan is too be aggressive and As Tanky as possible while not heavy Rolling. Use archetype Skills, then Send the Dog in to draw aggro and apply bleed so I can get close set them on fire with a few rounds from hellfire swap to Shotgun let off the first 7 rounds while they're burning, instant reload with hotshot by that time rampage is active I just unleashed as much damage as possible with the unlimited ammo. Once skills are on cool down I just stay in close basically weapon swapping in between mags while both my weapons reload themselves and Replenish the ammo just by firing and keeping the bleed+ Fire applies at all times. Super Fun in my opinion
Hey sorry i know this vid is a few months old but i only started R2 a week ago, i dont have the curropted shards for the rune pistol, do you think the starshot with the failsafe mod would be good substitute?
I totally forgot to mention this in the video; thank you for bringing it up! Swapping to Challenger main for the 2nd life is viable but you'll lose the ability to spread status effects on kill (which is this build's best mobbing tool). For troublesome bosses I'd say it's perfectly fine. However, outside of boss rooms you should def run Ritualist main.
Nice build i will testing him. Can i swap the band of fanatic ring with hardcore matal band ? More bulwark stacks for more damage and damage reduction.
Thank you, I hope you will enjoy the build! I do not recommend Hardcore Metal Band. This build already has 4 stacks of Bulwark while the max amount of Bulwark you can have is 5. The best ring for more tankiness would be Seal of the Empress for +20 HP; boosting the Effective HP of this build to over 600.
Since we already get a stack of bleed from the Twisting Wounds Mutator, it's not necessary to use Pipe Bomb! It's just a minor optimization to squeeze out a little more DOT damage 🩸 I do admit that throwing in this game is clunky asf lol
Why double corroded on shotgun ? Make Twisted Wounds and you get fire, bleed and poison with shotgun only or i missed something ? :D But great Build, i play the same as favorite.. little bit different
Fetid Wounds & Corrosion Rounds are preferred as they both help to increase critical hit chance. I believe the extra crit potential on the Shotgun to be much more valuable than the flat 20% ranged damage from Twisting Wounds. There also isn't any downside to having double corroded as they will stack on top of eachother. Ultimately, run what you feel most comfortable with!
Is this build noob friendly I just bought the dlc and got the Archetype but was wondering if this is easy to use for people like me people that are new to Remnant

You can start a new character, reroll until you get yaesha with the correct spawn.
