I carry a Taurus G3 but I have the G3c also. The G3c is snappy but it has been reliable for a budget gun. I don’t rely on double strike.. Always tap/rack.

I recently picked up the G3c n I gotta say it was a hard choice between the gx4 and the g3c but overall the reason I chose G3c was because it has a light/laser rail, manual safety, uses glock sights, takes down just like a glock, came with 3 mags, has restrike capability and lastly held one more round then the gx4 all of these features the gx4 didn’t have so I went with the G3c 💪🏾
Edit: Forgot to mention no failures after about 300+ rds

My first pistol was the G2C with the stainless slide. I changed the sights to fiber optic (green front, red rear) and I changed the recoil spring and guide rod to stainless. I also threw a olight pl mini valkyrie on there as well. The light and recoil spring seems to have helped the recoil significantly. It probably doesn't hurt that my grip is much better now than when I first got it..
    600ish rounds thru it flawlessly.

Sure they’re budget but they work and are very reliable.. And if you really feel sour about it bro go out and buy a glock or FN.. Caniks are great too.. I used to rotate between carrying an M&P Shield and a Glock 19 for years, and they covered my CCW bases pretty well. But I bought a G3c because it was just too good of a deal to pass up. I'm not going to lie -- it had some cosmetic issues, but nothing that warranted me sending it back. It is a perfect size for carry. A little thicker than the Shield, but much smaller than the 19, with a great capacity. It is reliable and produces excellent groups. It has quickly become my favorite carry gun, and I'm strapping it on my hip more than anything else. I plan on getting a second one. High value!

In my opinion the g3c is a great budget gun for your first gun. However I did later pick up a hellcat. I’m finding myself carrying this more often lately though. I did install a stainless steel guide rod from lakeline and have the steel striker guide to get put in that should improve the trigger a bit more. Next thing after that I’ll probably get some tritium sights for it. It’s a decent gun and for what you pay is hard to beat imo.

Never shot the G3C, but I have shot the G3. Its a good gun for the price, especially if its your first gun or you're on a budget. I'd buy this over the Hi-Point. I have mixed feelings about the double strike capabilities. I'd rather encourage people to tap/rack since most guns function that way. Like you said in the video, you don't wanna rely on that in the heat of the moment. I'm pretty sure this one can take Glock sights so those are easy to upgrade, but I'm not sure about the other parts. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for & I don't think anyone is expecting Glock level aftermarket support on a $250 gun.

Walked into a local otudoor store dressed in my security uniform and asked for this gun, the guy brings out the 3GC WITHOUT the thumb safety. I don't know if this one differs wildly from the one you featured, but when compared to the G2C, the trigger is better - A- yes it has a long break, but it resets short and subsequent pulls are nice and tight without as much travel. Love this little gun!

Carried g2c for a year, countless rounds at the range without fail. Started carrying a g3c and neglected it and let it sit for a year and start to get rusty. Just surface rust, but the thing was NEGLECTED. I took it out and it jammed on the first shot. Dropped the mag and worked the rack a bunch right quick, then went back to shooting. No failures. Things are very reliable, I took it home and cleaned it up well since.
I did upgrade the trigger though. Never loved the one that came in it. That long take up on the pull drove me nuts. Reset was wonderful. You did get used to setting your finger on that sweet spot when taking up the slack, but I just didn't like it.

Idk, I own a G3C Toro and I just went shooting last week with two friends. Mine was the only pistol that didn’t have a malfunction, they had Glock and some brand ive never heard of. I’m a new gun owner and up til that point I had only shot 500 rounds with it. It is still very much in its break in period. When I first got it, it had the same problem all Taurus G3C have which was holo’s wouldn’t chamber and cycle. That got solved about 300 rounds in with fmj’s, just had to get that barrel and extractor polished. I did upgrade my plastic striker fire guide to a steel one and replaced my recoil spring as well. All together it was $400. Played around at 75 yards away with just irons and hit 9/10 times! It does have a kick but if you’re hitting your target first shot, your reset becomes less important.

The G3C actually has a good reputation and it’s the best you will get for $250. The G2C actually brought Taurus back from the dead with its reputation. And although a Highpoint is not bad the G3C is better. And the Highpoint is too heavy to carry. Something is better than nothing. Something could pop off while you are saving. It’s not that snappy it is a light gun but it’s definitely manageable. I think it will suite a new user just find. They can be kitted over time. I personally still have my G2C. If there is surface rust then it just probably was neglected a bit. Cleaning it up and keeping it lubed should take care of that. BTW Kimbers have been known to have some surface rust as well so I think it’s more of a care thing. I have have Glocks as well but to me the Tauruses look better. They are like a crossbreed between Glocks and M&Ps. I still rotate my Taurus in and out because it’s in between the 26 and 19 in size and capacity. So it’s a sweet spot and also has a rail. The grip feels better than a Glock as well. The finish is the weak point and sucks compared to a Glock. Double strike capability is overrated and can be ignored like the safety, just tap and rack anyway. The Glock barrel is also nitrided and the Taurus barrel can easily be coated or treated as well for little and we’re talking half the price of a Glock. Most people I know still have them. They just might not fill the main role. I still see value in having one as a starting point and trading up or repurposing as you can afford. It’s great for a tackle box, to stash, or one you leave in the car. You’re not as afraid lose it. I don’t have all the guns you guys have but I do have 6 Glocks and still use my Taurus. It’s not better and won’t last as long but especially if you practice with it and take care of it. So far I’ve replaced a firing pin on one of my Glocks and nothing on my G2C. I’m sure that’s just the luck of the draw. So far with this I’ve bought once and cried not once. And people I’ve recommended say the same and still own theirs and say the same. All of you guys are gun snobs but Chris seems to be a bit more Reasonable. I am rooting for it and I think it will hold up in testing. Clean and lube it though. Even though it worked without it and you don’t have to with Glocks do it. This is a Glock and M&P bastard child so I think it run it takes little effort to be sure. That’s my book. 😂😂😂

That g3c is the best bang for the buck. It's has features that glocks dont have out rhe box. You can get a g3c toro optic ready, change the trigger and sights, throw a decent red dot on it and be under a stock glock. I'm gonna buy one as a back up/ car gun. But I wouldn't EDC it personally. Their quality control is what's spotty not the actual gun. You hear more about the bad ones which might be one out of 100 but the other 99 people don't make videos on. It has its role. Still Better than a hi-point or a sccy.

I started with the g2s single stack version of the g2c in 9mm i didnt like it due to capacity then i switched to a g2c 9mm and fell in love with it then i switched to the 40 cal g2c and i aint letting it go at all very reliable gun love the multi safety features because i have kids around me and understand the significance of firearm safety around kids i like the sights but prefer truglo sights its a good budget pistol me personally i dont like how glocks feel in my hand i prefer the psa dagger over the glock anyday

I ended up copping the G2c, Trigger is abysmal (I swapped it with a short stroke and it's slightly better) but it ran over a 1000 rounds through it reliably so I put it into rotation, It's one of the smaller guns I own so it's really easy to carry and forget about, but now after another couple thousand rounds of ammo it started having failure to extract issues, what I found was the extractor gets real gunked up, so I disassembled the extractor cleaned and polished it and it's been working great since. Idk if I trust it enough yet so I been carrying the g19x but once it shoots another 500 or so round reliably again, I'll put it back in rotation.

Here's my 2 cents. We live in a time and day when you need to get something now. We can't wait months to get something. If you need something, now get the G3C. Once you have your person carry for $250 to $300, then focus on the gloc, yall be safe 🙏

The trigger on the G3 series is a double/single action trigger, it's going to be extra spongy. The GX4 is the one to get. I haven't had any issues with mine. I have a G19,Hellcat Pro, 43X MOS, S&W 9mm EZ and the GX4 shoots the best to me. Save for maybe the S&W. I went with the GX4 over the original Hellcat, P365, and others because it has a better trigger IMO.

I will say, I have the G3C and I like it. Saying that the only issue I had was after 500ish rounds through it my front sight screw snapped, plus side is that the sights are Glock compatible so for the price point I say it is a good gun for carry if you cannot afford something over $500 and need something without having to save up

You can get a Taurus GX4 for just +/- $300 street price brand new. Plus as of right now Taurus has a $50 rebate. I recommend new shooters go to the range and test out a few options if the range has gun rentals. The GX4 does not have a manual thumb safety if that's a concern. But I recommend that you get comfortable with your firearms anyway, and you will be less concerned with a manual safety.

Anyone can budget and be patient to afford something you want. However, the G3C does make it possible to get something robust and reliable quicker without breaking the bank. It has a good amount of upgradable hardware and accepts a large spectrum of Glock sights. If you’re able to get your hands on a TORO version, it’s quite an upgrade. It’s a good firearm, is there better? Yes. It gets it done.

I see alot of negative comments on the trigger take up, I agree it's a bit long and spongy but it's designed that way for safety reason, you don't want a hot trigger on an EDC with one in the chamber- the odds of blasting your own knee cap increase dramatically, My 19ll has a hot trigger which allows me to shoot with amazing accuracy but there is no way I'd carry that with one in the chamber- that would require a shit ton of training in my opinion- safety first!
