    Love my G3C also love my glock...yes I have both....the G3C feels better in my med sized hand but what i really like is that a 17 round mag from a regular size G3 fits in my G3C perfectly, bought a mag sleeve from bloody wheels for $9 bucks to fill the gap and presto 17 plus 1! Which i think we all would agree that when going to the range the less time we spend filling mags...the more time for shootin!

I'm not gonna say that I'll never buy a glock, but for now, they're not on my radar, especially for the price when there are so many other options that break down in a similar way for example, the Stoeger STR 9 MC is another gun I own that breaks down in a similar way and is also a great gun to shoot and it feels good in the hand. I got that for $350 with the $50 rebate. Can't beat that for $300.

    I love my Taurus G3c, I’ve shot over 700 rounds and had the first failure to fire, it was the bullet, it’s eaten up everything I put in it!! Mostly 115 and 124 gr fmj bullets, my friends Glock 26 jammed a bunch of times with the same ammo I was using for my Taurus G3c at the range that my Taurus had no problems shooting! This is a very accurate comparison. I own both and I actually prefer the G3C but the big difference is resale value. If you put $500 in a Glock you have $500. If you put $280 into a G3C plus another $100 to upgrade the plastic internals you have a gun that’s worth about $150.

    Chunkier than my P365 and I can't pocket conceal with it like my Sig. Weirdly long trigger pull too, but you quickly get used to it. It is perfectly concealable otherwise. Taurus is trying to make up ever since they moved manufacturing to the States.

    I always laugh when I hear the prices of guns in the US because they are dirt cheap. All handguns are illegal in the UK, you can't even get a license for one. You could get one anyway if you knew the right people (by which I mean the wrong people) but it'll cost you between $3500 and $10,000 equivalent and risk a minimum 5 year jail sentence. I watch these videos to see what I would get, if I could get one. For now I'm happy with a pointy stick, and I don't really need a gun because even criminals don't bother to carry them as a matter of course here. If someone came after you with a gun here it's because you're a rival criminal. It's just not worth the jailtime to bother with them. Still, good to know that if I had a choice I'd probably pick the G3C.

      @@TerryBenton You can apply for a shotgun or rifle (.22) license, but you need to demonstrate why you need it and even then you can be rejected for all sorts of reasons, and the final decision is up to the police who take the view that if you want a firearms license then you are the type of person who shouldn't be given a firearms license. They do generally allow farmers to have a shotgun license. You also have to agree to let the police access your property at any time and without notice to allow them to check that it is properly stored and they can also check the rest of the property to make sure you aren' leaving any ammunition around, which essentially means a full search. For 99.999%+ of people, it's not worth applying. You also can't carry them, open or concealed unless you are going to a documented pre-booked appointment to hunt, visit a range or take the gun to a repairer. When you transport it, it must be in a lockbox with the key being transported separately. It's a very different country to the US, where you have bears etc so people don't need guns to defend against wildlife, so criminals can't misuse them, so civilians don't need them to defend against criminals. The vast majority of police don't have guns either. TBH I'd love to have a gun, but not at the cost of everyone else being able to have one too. I'd want to be the only one, because you can't trust other people with your life.

    Glock and Taurus not in the same class

    I have both . And the 43x will always be better. My opinion. It’s slimmer than the g3. You can run 15,18, and 20 rd mags in the 43x . It’s way more customizable than the g3 is. And to me shoots better than the g3 . And the fact that 3 brand new g3/g3c mags crapped on me at 200rds , I’ll stick to Glock reliability for edc.

      With the G2/3 series 'C' Taurus you can run 15 and 17 rd mags, in addition to standard 12 rd. I carry a 12 rd in in, plus second 15 rd mag.

    I own the g3c I have also owned a Glock 45 I wanted something more compact for ccw, sold the 45 and got a g30 .45 auto. My opiniop, best ccw. However I like to fluctuate my ccw so I picked up the g3c and my thoughts on it after a couple thousand rounds. It comes out of the box better than a Glock and for the price, Damn. Glock is the Gucci of the gun market people pay for the name alot and Glock knows it. They make a $12 pistol and sell it for $600. However comparing the g43x to the g3c, Glock now makes a gen 5 g43x and it is MOS. Shield Arms makes aftermarket metal magazines that hold 15 rounds flush in the gun. And even 20 round mags that only extend out slightly. And with all the aftermarket parts for Glock. I would choose the g43x in fact I'm thinking of buying one lol. I still love my g3c and it's use will be a range gun and or training gun.

      In all the rounds I've put through my g3c have all been brass cheap stuff. No jams or jelly from it definitely wouldn't put it past a reliable ccw. It eats hollow points no issue as well

      G3c has a couple people making triggers and barrels fot it. Slide can always be milled for 100 or so and can accept 10,12,15,17 rnd mags or p226 mags. Still cheaper than Glock. Buuut as much I like g3, have 3 of them, Glock has better CS and they are mil proven. G3c is street proven though 😂

    The Taurus g3x is a better comparison to the GLOCK 43x. Not the g3c.

      Why is that?

    • @Barikade
      @Barikade 5 месяцев назад +2

      I know the G3 alone is similar in dimension to the 19 but the G3x wouldn't compare to the 43x or 19. G3 grip length with a 3.2 inch slide of the g3c. Longer then the 43x in height and shorter than 19 in length.

      Ok. If we are being honest, a glock is a "budget gun" also. They are cheap too. There are only a couple of hundreds difference in price. Both are bottom end budget guns that go bang every time.
