I don't know how we did it, but where I live, we watched the two movies on the same day with a friend 😄 Tropuc Thunder earlier in the day, and Iron Man in the afternoon.
A GOLD movie look at Ben Stiller's old movies and I mean in all of them but especially in this one, he has always been in shape you can't tell because the guy is a master of showmanship and most of the time you are seeing his face and gestures but wow he has more muscle than half the cast of the avengers
Tom Cruise is fantastic in this. The character of Les was based on his suggestions. For example, he insisted on having the large hands. He wanted to be as unrecognizable as he could. All the cast are great tbh, especially Stiller and RDJ. I think Pudgey got the humor of this film more 🙂 And yes, this film would NEVER be made today. RDJ in blackface today??? No chance. Yet he was nominated for an OSCAR for his performance in this. There was no outcry about it. Everyone loved it.
Hey Spartan and Pudgey, I'm SO glad you both watched this! ---------- Tom Cruise's best character by far. Him dancing at the end is epic. --------- Gotta give props to Robert Downey Jr. as well. --------- AS a black man I have no problem with equal opportunity laughter. Folks need to get over themselves and give the PC train a rest.
The fact that you thought black rdj was a totally different actor was fucking hilarious. Also i appreciate you guys unapologetically laughing at everything. Some reactors often are too scared to do so
This movie is GOATED, truly an instant classic 🤘🏽 So many good people are in this thing and RDJ totally killed it. They don’t make shit like this anymore 😆
The "Simple Jack" character was a reference to Tom Hank's character in the 1994 movie "Forrest Gump". It's incredibly funny if you've already watched Forrest Gump, watched Tom Hanks receive an Oscar for best actor for his role in Forrest Gump and only THEN watch this movie! Ben Stiller is famous for a lot of comedies like There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Little Fockers, Night at the Museum, Zoolander etc.
this reaction made me love pudgey even more lol. classic epic comedy! i remember seeing this in theatres when i was like 18. this one never gets old. Legendary performances and meta film concept all around
Well, here are some iconic comedies for your must watch list in non particular order : The Naked Gun , Airplane! , Caddyshack, Planes trains and automobiles, Blazing Saddles, There is something about Mary, The pink panther (1963 version), The Hangover, Groundhog day, Shaun of the dead, See no evil hear no evil, Bad Santa, Superbad, School of Rock, Three Amigos, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Top Secret, Hot Shots...... any of these for starters should be awesome
Thumbs down for not immediately recognizing RDJ and Tom Cruise, two of the biggest movie stars in the world, even down in that former (current?) prison colony you call home.
That's a great movie. Thanks for the reaction. Besides Robert Downey, it's definitely Tom Cruise that steals every scene he's in. Many scenes pay homage to other movies. Platoon, Rambo, Apocalypse Now for example. And the way Stiller flies through the air after the bridge explosion is the exact same way Tom Cruise does in Mission Impossible III. Great stuff, so many nods and Easter eggs.
Nah they all were amazing. RDJ just killed it and will be the only white guy ever getting green light from black people to black face ever! That's sadly the only controversy that stuck, while Tropüic Thunder took a shit on almost every Hollywood controversy.

"I'm a rooster illusion" also gets me.
Ans every-time Tom Cruise was on screen.
@@maurer3d every time I see Kirk Lazarus deliver the line about trying to re-enter earth’s atmosphere in a refrigerator box, it ends me. 🤣🤣🤣
@@VillainHoor Yeah such a great scene.
This came out like 3 months after Iron Man 1.
Crazy different roles for RDJ.
I don't know how we did it, but where I live, we watched the two movies on the same day with a friend 😄 Tropuc Thunder earlier in the day, and Iron Man in the afternoon.
Tom Cruise is my favorite in this hilarious 😂😂
Come on guys, you missed the Pudgey reference at 18:07 :P
😂 you aint wrong there
She really do have those don’t she
100%
Love the darker room. Heeeaaaaps better.
“He looks like Robert Downy Jr!”
😂
I love you guys. Hahaha
A GOLD movie look at Ben Stiller's old movies and I mean in all of them but especially in this one, he has always been in shape you can't tell because the guy is a master of showmanship and most of the time you are seeing his face and gestures but wow he has more muscle than half the cast of the avengers
Ben Stiller legendary characters, and films...
He is Robert Downey Jr. and Les Grossman is Tom Cruise.
I would to see reaction for Barry!
Best dark humour comedy show out there :D
Tom Cruise is fantastic in this. The character of Les was based on his suggestions. For example, he insisted on having the large hands. He wanted to be as unrecognizable as he could. All the cast are great tbh, especially Stiller and RDJ. I think Pudgey got the humor of this film more 🙂 And yes, this film would NEVER be made today. RDJ in blackface today??? No chance. Yet he was nominated for an OSCAR for his performance in this. There was no outcry about it. Everyone loved it.
Pudgy, you completely got this film & it was hilarious! Spartan seems that this film went completely over his head.
5:09 Spartan seems like a barrel of laughs
The fact that you thought black rdj was a totally different actor was fucking hilarious. Also i appreciate you guys unapologetically laughing at everything. Some reactors often are too scared to do so
This movie is GOATED, truly an instant classic 🤘🏽 So many good people are in this thing and RDJ totally killed it. They don’t make shit like this anymore 😆
Such a shame everyone watches Tropic Thunder before watching Platoon, and don’t get the running scene.
You don't need to see Platoon to get the running scene because it is funny on it's own you just won't get it is a reference.
I watched Tropic Thunder in theaters in my twenties and had Platoon and Apocalypse Now on VHS when I was a teenager!
Most YT reactors aren't cultured people.
you guys gives tough competition to simple jack
The "Simple Jack" character was a reference to Tom Hank's character in the 1994 movie "Forrest Gump". It's incredibly funny if you've already watched Forrest Gump, watched Tom Hanks receive an Oscar for best actor for his role in Forrest Gump and only THEN watch this movie! Ben Stiller is famous for a lot of comedies like There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Little Fockers, Night at the Museum, Zoolander etc.
A lot of the jokes just went over Spartan’s head. It’s okay lol
this reaction made me love pudgey even more lol. classic epic comedy! i remember seeing this in theatres when i was like 18. this one never gets old. Legendary performances and meta film concept all around
Absolutely made my day. My favourite people watching tropic thunder.
Rdj did a great job along with the rest of the cast..
"They're differnt actors" I'm dead🤣
Best comedy of its time. You could never make this movie again. For god reason. But seriously, you didn’t recognize RDJ or Cruise? 😂
Guy doesn't understand the simplest thing: ''This scene's so random dudeeee''
The fact that yall thought Robert Downey wasnt actually playing Sgt Osiris is a testament to his acting.😂
It’s a testament to how incredibly dumb they are…
That's a great movie.
RDJ carried this film
Wdym? He was barely in it.
@@crusadax3405 ok
Nah they all were amazing. RDJ just killed it and will be the only white guy ever getting green light from black people to black face ever! That's sadly the only controversy that stuck, while Tropüic Thunder took a shit on almost every Hollywood controversy.
@@Mandred85 what is a tropic?
The way she lost it when Spartan said, Hugh Jackman played the Joker! Oh my God, what a great reaction to this fantastic movie! So good!
You two are wonderful reactors, thank you for putting up such entertaining content. This is one of the last great movie comedies. Hasn't been much since to be truly this funny and clever and satirical all the way through.
