For REN, this was truly his reality. Ren had misdiagnosed Lyme disease for 7 years by conventional doctors who deemed him mentally ill, but when patients are experiencing neurological symptoms, they very often become misdiagnosed. Lyme disease can present itself as many neurological conditions including Acute Transverse Myelitis[3], Ptosis[4], Seizures, and Chronic Fatigue[1] and these symptoms can be often misdiagnosed or deemed psychosomatic. Second is dealing with the symptoms of Lyme neuroborreliosis, these neurological symptoms often leave patients feeling drained and debilitated as they begin losing their quality of life. Over time, patients find themselves unable to do the things they love as they struggle to get ahead of their progressing symptoms.

Driven insane with the psych meds, driven to addiction with pain pills, anxiety meds, sleep meds, adderal... My heart stopped and I now have a pacemaker/defibrillator... Lyme was finally diagnosed, went off ALL the meds, and at 59 I'm finally awake and aware! Ren is a GIFT to my soul!! He GETS IT!! And he's bringing us together through his gift. We are no longer alone in our experiences. Much love! ❤

Then imagine what that would do to a person when you don't even have enough energy to get out of bed and don't understand why! If you guessed psychosis then go to the top of the class 😮

Yes .. instead of Lyme disease, he was treated as though he had bipolar because he had years of misdiagnosis and was fed drugs like diazapam and sertraline which like he said in Hi Ren gave him psychosis. This song and his new songs were penned when Ren was at his most psychotic. Actually sick boy came at a similar time as hi Ren. In order his songs make a lot of sense. He's now being treated in Canada for his Lyme disease. Knowing when his songs were penned is key to Rens music. They have come to us out of order because he was bed ridden for about 8 years.

Thank you sir, for one of the top reactions I have seen to date regarding this Ren track.
From the start, and your statement regarding how hypochondria can manifest a physical response, through your closing thoughts advocating the need for change, you once again went through said door of a standard reaction cave, if you will. It doesn't take total anarchy to not be complacent and want to explore new concepts and options. Independent thought and curiosity are regarded as an enemy of the broken systems that are making humanity atrophy while destroying the natural world. Perhaps as more folks champion breaking free from the herd and actually do so, some establishments may fall into chaos, but we may be the better for it.
Looking forward to more of your insights as your reactions are nearly always though provoking.

He is Not getting stem cell treatment in Canada. He got stem cells in 2016-17 which allowed him to rejoin life. Once this album is released he will get heavy duty antibiotics which will come ith a heavy reaction because of his autoimmunity. It's called a Herxheimer reaction. They are trying to reduce inflamation and toxins that were built up over the years in order to allow his brain to heal. No guarantees. He will likely be dealing with autoimmunity for life . He is such an inspiration.

If you haven't done Money Game you really should. There are two parts (watch the lyric video for part 2) but you'll really get it i think. Part 3 comes out in 3 weeks and Ren is really excited about it. If you've already done them, I'll check when I've finished this, then apologies for missing them!
Ren was misdiagnosed for so long and medicated for the wrong things for years, including i believe for trauma response (ie his mind was making him sick), he was utterly debilitated by the meds and Lymes. A lot of his older songs give a real insight into this period of his life. 🖤

      @LHartman-gj7dl Год назад

In the end, after trying everything, even "snake oil" he realised he had Lymes but couldn't convince Drs, so lied about his symptoms so he would be given the correct antibiotics for Lymes, which started to work, so he knew he was on the right track, he then self funded two stem cell treatments, and that was the beginning of his road to recovery. A road he's still on.

Periodically narrowing focus to view shadows on the cave wall can help you see additional patterns to the degree that you can remain objective. The utility of this is finding ways to help educate those within the cave to find their own path out. But yes, stepping outside the cave is the only way to see sufficient context to gain wisdom. And once one steps outside, as long as they don't cower and run back inside never to return, the perspective shifts so that those who love being inside the cave wall become seen as petty and foolish. The darkness is the path to the outside, but only the mentally brave are willing to fully face the darkness. And that is the difference.

Nothing physical responded to treatments so they efrbtualky told him is was in his head and started treating mental diseases that didn’t exist. Plus all of this obviously made him depressed. People say Lyme and that's true but he has given an update since he went to the hospital in Canada. He was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
I have that too so I'm really familiar with it. It's a mechanistic diagnoses rather than a causative one if that makes any sense.
Mast cells are the cells that degranulate and cause the inflammatory response. WIth MCAS your cells degranulate in an abnormal way and in response to a lot of triggers and cause multisystemic inflammatory response and it can be any system including the brain. That's where a lot of the psych stuff comes in. When you have encephalitis you are gonna not think or behave correctly.

This doesn't apply in the UK. We don't pay for our health care like Americans do. A small portion of our wages comes out monthly if we work as a contribution to all, if you dont work you dont get charged and everyone gets healthcare without charge. The most we pay is for our medicines and they are all subsidised, so regardless of the prescription wr only pay about £10. Unless you have a chronic condition like diabetes or are elderly/pregnant or under 18 . Then it's free. All the contrary, our NHS has been so underfunded over the last few years that it's barely able to cope anymore. Add that to the problem that Lyme disease is not very common here. So they probably looked for obvious reasons as to why he was complaining and when they didn't find them they fobbed him off as a mental health case. He was unlucky that no one took him seriously and didn't want to spend any further resources on finding out what was wrong.

It won’t hurt your reactions to look up questions you have about something you’re hearing. Plus it’ll help you understand what’s going on instead of guessing.

I'll go out the cave door, absolutely, but the fact is that I'll always seek to return to the cave because the cave is safe and comfortable. There is no point going through that door and just wandering off into the darkness & light of the 'real world' if nobody ever goes with you either, you just end up getting lost. Never be afraid to walk through that door, but never be afraid to return to the sanctity of the cave either. It is a 2 way door.

Rather than his mental state making him believe that he was physically sick, it was actually the other way around. The medical professionals told him he was mentally ill, gave him loads of pills, didn’t diagnose that he actually had Lyme Disease, which can be easily treated in the early stage. Poor Ren, and poor anyone else who has this experience.

Alright this one dipped into heavy satire with the hydro-somethin A and "read it recently in a medical journal" bit. I prefer when you keep it subtle.
