So many youtube tutorial teach what to draw, but not why they are drawing it. Thank you for explaining why you are doing what you are doing, which teaches us how to paint, and not just how to copy what you are painting.
I had planned to take time after work today to paint one of the scenes from my holiday trip to Finland. These tips come in so handy! I'm not expecting such beautiful results, but I'm excited to try and learn. Thank you for the detailed explanations throughout the video!

Thanks so much for this lesson using just three colors. My experience is limited and the painting was so much more enjoyable with less to fuss with. Loved using the yellow ochre for warmth.
The water would be on the left and splatter on the painting 😅 the palette opens up so it's quite wide and a bit too far for the water to be on the right side next to the palette if it's on the right...
