I am a Canadian Chinese mom who tried this recipe today with my 9 yr old daughter and she loved it. Ours didn't balloon up but it was delicious none the less. And entirely cooked through. We needed to add a little more water to our batter and we did adjust the recipe a little because we used our own homemade flavored butter but everything else remained the same. Thank you for sharing! So easy and fun to make. 💙
Rolling and kneading was always my nightmares. So I don't usually waste my time to do these all, was buying the readymade chapati and paratha instead. This invention is saved my life. Now I could make paratha without rolling and kneeding. You made it absolutely delicious and now onwards homemade paratha will be made by me. Hurray!!💃💃Thanks dear😍
Ok so I made these today and at first it was not puffing up (I oiled my pan too much). I then realized if you only press down on the sides, it will begin to puff up. Think of it as you sealing the sides, the trapped air will then cause it to puff up. I hope that helps for those of you that had that issue :)
Made these tonight, came out well. Again not as puffy but I found that if I flipped it pretty early it puffed better and I also made sure I kept pressing it down and that seemed to help with the puffing up. I used 120g of flour and 200ml water. Will definitely be making these again next time I make a curry
Love the simplicity of this recipe. Love that sugar and yeast are not needed. No resting time required. Will definitely try this and make it one of my staples.

This is not paratha. This is wheat dosa with garlic. Paratha is cooked dough. This(dosa) is cooked batter, ie a type of pancake. Been eating wheat dosa for many year now. This just has the added garlic and coriander leaves. Looks good though. 👍
I made this today with the measurements provided. My first one puffed up a little bit, but then I think I had my pan way too hot. My consistency was also a little too thick and with the pan being too hot, they didn't spread out thin as they should have. I'll perfect it for my next batch. thank you.

No rise could be because you cooked it too long on one side in the beginning. That works for sure prevent rising. One minute at first each side should be ok. Or max 2.
I'm glad you posted this, because I only saw a little ballooning. It NEVER puffed up the way it is shown in the video. I also had to add more liquid to obtain the consistency of the mixture. Here is what "WE" made: ruclips.net/video/lve34-ih4CI/видео.html I thought I was doing something wrong! So with all this being said, the flavors that I added to my mixture were amazing! I only wished that the "EXACT INGREDIENTS & MEASUREMENTS" were provided. There is no way to achieve the puffiness using the ingredients listed. #SorryNotSorry #SomebodyLyin' LOL!!!
I think the ingredients issue comes solely down to it being a volume measurement for the flour, because "1 cup" to another could wildly vary in the amount of flour used, depending on how compacted it is in the scoop.
Done this mixture without garlic, butter for so many years but for it to swell up like poori is amazing!!!! Thank you as I really gave up paratha due to kneading and this liquid recipe is a life saver and I’m going to try it soon! 🤗❤️
