It’s last call for The Gallaghers and you’re invited to the party to end all parties. After a decade of dysfunction, the South Side’s favorite clan is going out with the biggest bang ever. It’s going to be a wild last ride, but changes are coming that will force each of them to either step up or hit the road. And while devolving may come more naturally than evolving in a family where excess never gets old, they know one thing for certain - Gallaghers may grow up, but they’ll never grow apart.

I think he's like Debbie and Carl when they were younger but when he's older, he'll probably feel the same as them. They all kind of in a way cared for him in earlier seasons.

@@trinitylivingston1286 Not sure about that. Carl clearly still care about Frank way more then Debby does. It varies by character. Its true that Frank is pretty great with kids.
@@longclaw22-72 Carl still doesn't give much of a shit about him. Even Ian cares a little but I think Liam will still care less about Frank the older he gets and not defend him so much.

Now that I think about it, it makes sense that Liam has way more sympathy for Frank than the rest of his siblings. He and frank have got more bonding moments together like the night the spend in a hotel when they were trying to sell the babies and when he looked for him when he needed his signature to be allowed to go to school and eventually making him go to the Gallavich wedding.
Compared to the other Gallaghers, he didn’t have to take so much of Franks bullshit over the years because he was way too young to remember and was so much more protected by all of his siblings. Liam is such a pure soul, I love him 💖
Or how he got him into a private school for a while during season 8 It didn’t last long but at least he cared.
I thought all the reasons y'all mentioned, I think Frank and Liam have a closer bond in a weird messed up way, like Debbie and Ian did with Monica
Unlike the others, Liam is is too young to remember the shit Frank put him through.
You'll notice that every child of Frank actually liked him and called him dad when they were kids. In season one both Debbie and Carl called frank dad and believed that he can change. By that time fiona, lip and Ian were too old and tired of Frank's habits.

Plus the young man playing him is such an excellent actor. Holding your own repeatedly with William H Macy is no small feat.

Christian Isaiah’s performance this season as Liam was phenomenal. He makes Frank and Liam’s bond feel wholeheartedly endearing and it makes me think about how good of a father Frank could’ve been...
"I'm hopelessly wandering in a world I don't recognize" That broke my heart. I lost my mom to covid complications and dementia. During her final stages she was completely lost she could not walk, talk, eat on her own she didn't even remember to swallow her food. She didn't even know who I was anymore or the fact her daughter passed in 2012. She asked me where her daughter was I had to lie and say "she is at home" I couldnt bring myself to tell her she is gone and cause more confusion and stress. Dementia is such a horrible thing for the person and family to go through. It's like watching the one you love slowly fade away in front of you. Their eyes become blank and you no longer recognize them.

Liam got the best parts of all his family members. He’s definitely the best Gallagher of them all lol
Liam always felt like the kid that Frank actually raised correctly even though he was still the same old frank during most of it. I loved their bond
@Heather Althouse honestly no they didn’t maybe as a baby but he’s been on his own since at least frank got him into private school🤷♂️
@@kyletrosper8953 right the only one who actually kinda paid attention to him after he wasnt a baby anymore was somewhat frank and Fiona (before she got depressed but who could blame her tbh)

Yeah but can u blame them? They had to deal with Frank and his acholoism for years and now they have their own lives and they need to move on and Frank needs to deal with the consequences but they should be able to move on

Even Mickey took care of his dad in his final days, I’m kinda surprised how much no one cares about Frank. He was a horrible dad, but they’re better people, at least I thought they were. Even Carl doesn’t care, and I though Ian would care a little since he saw what happened with Mickey and his dad, and apparently is the one growing the most since he wants to leave the south side behind.
I don’t wish that kind of deteriorating death on anyone, even Frank. I hope in the future episodes he can have some kind of reconciliation with the family. At one point or another most of them have done unforgivable things too, but always came back together because they’re family.
Frank had a brilliant mind! Look at lip going to the university of Chicago and Liam going to a prep school that frank helped him get into.
