I had shutters like that 30 years ago that my husband made for me because I love them. Then we moved. Yours remind me of my years gone by! We celebrated 50
What beautiful ideas. That luggage is more than just something to put your clothes in, it's an experience with the way it's detailed. Thanks for sharing all these gifts.
Great ideas! I’m going to check out luggage for myself. I have been in love with the movie “ Out of Africa” ever since it came out and I watch it every time it’s on tv.😀
Your Valentine gift ideas are wonderful. I love the idea that most of them can include making a memory if they're used to spend time with your loved ones. So important. I hope you and "hubs" have a happy Valentine's day ❤
Love this video, Linda! I usually watch RUclips videos on my TV which doesn’t allow for comments, so I wanted to take the time to let you know how much I enjoyed the videos of your home at Christmas. Your historical home is beautiful and I was thrilled to watch your tours of the interior! Your natural Christmas decor makes me want to skip all my bins of ornaments and forage in my garden for decor next year! I find the quirkiness of older homes fascinating and endearing and you and hubs have done a wonderful job of staying true to the character of your home. The kitchen and sitting room are so charming and the “reno” fits the home perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I’m looking forward to more glimpses of your decorating style in your lovely home.
Oh yes! I can remember writing an essay on a test and having my fingers covered in blue ink when I was done. I always prided myself for my handwriting skills so it was worth it. 😂. Too bad they don’t teach that in school anymore.
Hello Linda love you so much love the way you explain everything love all your tips for gifts I am the same love receiving those kind of gift thank you so much Johanne from Blainville Canada Happy Valentines and thanks your husband to be so kind and film you for all your journey on line xox
Every time you show your bookshelves it makes me want to be a little mouse in your house so I can browse their contents. On another note...you honeymooned in Africa! That’s so incredibly neat.
Love rocks, foraging. I have pines on my property, two huge ones make these tiny pine cones, from 2 to 3 inches long. I gather them for package decorations, glitter them for my dining room brass & glass hurricane lanterns. Surprising how small things can sometimes give us joy. These difficult times, we need all the joy we can get, and, give! Love your foraging bag!!
Love the "foraging" bag. It reminds me of the bag I had made out of the spouses flight suits and flight bags..lots of pockets without having a huge bag.
These were wonderful ideas. I have perused the Mark and Graham site but never purchased. Nice to hear your thoughts. I'm really attracted to the canvas tote. Looks so versatile. It's always a pleasure seeing you.💞
Hi there! I was wondering if you could do a video on planting up the iron cage basket that you thrifted, the one that sits up on a candle pedistol. I was recently able to thrift something similar and I’m wondering what I should line the cage basket with. Thank you I love your videos!
You are so interesting..alot of depth. Thanks for showcasing Africa. I am kenyan American and Tanzania (we say TZ) is a 2nd home.Karibu Kwetu( swahili for welcoming you)....
@@LindaVater I am kenyan American living in Atlanta GA...Most of my family members are still in Kenya which borders TZ on the south side ...we share the Massai Mara park if you visit Kenya take a tour of the karen Blixen museum Out of Africa film was based on that estate,Karen's African home.😊
Lovely Ideas❣ If you think about it ... LV = LoVe 😉 Mark& Graham items (especially monogrammed) I also love fountain pens, and the Garden Bag .. the gift that keeps on Giving. Nice video! Don't know if you've posted, but would like to see your place in Colorado. I use to live there myself! 🥰 Enjoy your weekend!
I enjoyed your gift ideas. Monograms are such a southern, girly thing that I love. Since your husband is a birder, I suggest you add a pair of binoculars to your foraging bag. I have my Grandma's that she had for birdwatching.
Outstanding. This was so awesome. Being brought up military; Army, love the colors you suggested. I am an LS also; hope we are not traveling at the same time....haha
That was awesome stuff I love the hiking part wish my hubby was able to do that but he has a bad back. I’ll check out the snipers if it’s not expensive, my Felco #2 isn’t sharp anymore (2 years old) and the screw is so tight I can’t take it out to clean all the parts it difficult to spend another $74 for a new one. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Linda! This was so FUN to watch. Is the canvas bag you have classic gray or just gray. Amazon shows both and I really like your's. Thanks for the great ideas!
Your "cartridge" pen is called a fountain pen and they are amazing to write with. Not only can you improve your writing, they are very easy on the hand if you have arthritis because the ink flows so easily. However, it should be noted that not all ink is waterproof. Important for some documents that might need permanent signatures. Fountain pens are a whole different rabbit hole that you can find yourself going into.
You are so right! I don’t know why, but when I was in high school we called them cartridge pens. When I was searching for them on Amazon, they came up as fountain pens. Love that kind of thing
I had one in high school too! The original fountains pens you filled with ink from an ink bottle. They could be a little messy especially if they leaked in your purse or in your shirt pocket. Then the cartridge type came out which was an improvement , probably the reason we called them cartridge pens was to differentiate between the type of fountain pen we were talking about.
Linda, I stumbled across your channel a few days ago and I am totally obsessed with watching your videos! Love all of the Valentine gift suggestions!
Thanks for sharing, awesome gifts 🎁

Loved the fountain pens! We used those in high school too. The only downside with them is if the cartridge starts to leak.
Yes!

Honestly, I can’t remember. I think it’s classic gray. I remember thinking I couldn’t go wrong with any choice!

Good to know, because arthritis has wreaked havoc with my handwriting. I only handwrite a few checks or legal documents now.

Her pen name was Isak Denisen. Wonderful author!
Of course! If I can try to remember it I could have LOL!
I was always going to ask where you buy your tools. I will look into that company. I like buying quality and keeping it forever.
Bridgetown is great!
Do you ever do videos from your Colorado property?
One day!!
