Gardeners don't have grey/gray interiors. They like warmth, yellows, greens, the colours of life! I love that it is winter and that we get a peek inside the homes of gardeners. I am never surprised to see the colours of the garden inside, topiary, plants, bulbs and botanical prints! Fabulous! And NO GREY!

Your kitchen is so wonderful. Not your cookie cutter kitchen. It definitely has an English feel to it which I love. You have everything you need right at your hand. Love the cozy feel of it. The fire place in the breakfast room is the perfect spot to sit and relax with a great cup of coffee. Love the leather chairs by the fireplace to cozy up in. Love these videos. Happy birthday!!
Revisiting the classy dressing, traditional, cozy, homey, nostalgic Linda Vater. All these memories and this home are in the past. You moved... I stayed here. I wonder if Sydney knows I roam the halls. I know every nook and cranny, and cherish every story you told of your life and the boys growing up. I was waiting for grand kids to come down those very stairs at Christmas someday.

Thanks so much for the great stocking stuffer ideas. One of my favorite go-to items is a lint roller. Not very romantic, but so useful to keep in the car, purse, etc.

I love your home tours! I love that your home is true to YOU. It’s a real home. It’s cosy, it’s warm, it’s individual, and everything in it has real meaning to you and your family. I’d say more European in feel, not so homogeneous, like so many American homes. The inside perfectly matches the outside. I love your gardens of course. In the garden I like the mix of brick and stone and thrifted finds. It looks like a home passed down from generation to generation. It’s all perfect in my eyes.

Your kitchen and sitting area are just so Lovely, those artisans did a beautiful job of your cabinets. I also use broken branches to hold back my summer flowers in the garden. Love the paper your friend used on your birthday gifts.

Love the grace and vintage detail of older homes -including the smaller cozy rooms- it cannot be duplicated today and is such a welcome counterpoint to newer, open plan, greige/beige contemporary spaces. So glad you haven’t changed the color of the cupboards, such things are timeless. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
