- St. Paul police say a teen boy has been seriously hurt after a shooting outside a rec center that has resulted in a massive police response Wednesday afternoon.

@@arthurbrumagem3844 Art, I've been here since the 70s. It was bad even before the immigrants arrived. Much due to Chicago culture and folks coming here. Many of those immigrants tho adopted the culture of folks that are doing the most crime. Honestly, I remember the Hmong immigrants were metal heads in the 80s. Once rap became big, the youngsters jumped on that gang lifestyle. Same with the Somali teens now days. Even white hockey kids in white bear lake jumped on the bandwagon in the 90s and early 2000s.

@@arthurbrumagem3844 Assimilation or at the very least, learning the language is just polite if you're calling a new land your home. I do have very close Cambodian, Thai and Hmong friends growing up in Frogtown St Paul. I've tried so hard to befriend Somali folks for over 30yrs and they just don't want much to do with Americans if any skin color in my experience.
Wth is wrong with people! I don't wonder why I never leave my house or have a wide circle of friends. Screw that give me a animal any day!

@@mnshooter89 No one has been shot and murdered in my city since I've moved here 12 years ago. When I lived in Woodbury it was the same. I'm not sure. The last shooting was a suicide around Christmas 3 years back. You too can achieve this 30-40 minutes up north from the Twin Cities and I truly want that for you Bill. The only murder in Woodbury after I lived here was by the usual suspects. Thugs from the cities in that gang and drug culture.

It was self-defense it was a group of kids including the boy who was shot in the head who beat up the employee moments before the shooting, who was a supervisor of the Jimmy Lee rec center he was trying to defend his self. Those group of kids are gang bangerz of the selby crips and they are always causing problems at the rec center police have been called numerous times to keep them away and they kept returning what you think was going to happen? they need better security that should have protected the staff at that rec centers including all rec centers in a high-crime area.
