- 280.8 km Bangalore Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR, NH-948A) by NHAI is an under construction 4-6 lane access-controlled expressway with a route alignment in Karnataka connecting 12 towns of Dobbasapete, Doddaballapura, Devanahalli, Sulibele, Hoskote, Sarjapura, Attibele, Anekal, Tattekere, Kanakapura, Ramanagara and Magadi.
This greenfield expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojna Lot-3 will serve as a bypass around Bengaluru city. It is being built in 3 parallel phases and involves construction of NH-948A and realignment of existing NH-648 (old NH-207).

Bengaluru Ring Road Progress
Bengaluru Satellite Ring Road Project Update
No city in India has a Ring Road like Hyderabad. Hyderbad's outer ring road is world class with 8 lanes and 4 lanes of servie roads. And it was not constructed recently. It was opened for public use long back in 2010 itself. All cities in India should have an outer ring road like Hyderabad.
I think pune is working on that...
@ravinunna1168...you are true bro....for all Nhai is building...but Hyderabad ORR Is built by HMDA
Hyderabad ORR is leased for around 6000 crores to IRB Infrastructure for 30 years recently ...
Kabhi delhi aao bhai, vaha ki orr dekho
Delhi ORR is 6 lanes without full service road so not comparable to Hyderabad ORR. But Delhi ORR is 270 Kms which is much longer than 158 kms Hyderabad ORR.
You have done a brilliant job with the video and narration, very high quality 4K and well presented. Referring to this as Outer Ring Road could be confusing though. There is already a ORR and one is being built further away from it.

I drove on this road from Hoskote-Chintamani road to Devanahalli a few days back. Its absolutely a dream to drive on. Makes going to Hyderabad road a breeze from Hoskote side!😊👏
Which road ur taking about?
The road that is shown in this video@@Kishoreg2403
@nilesh0 how much time did it took from hoskote to devanahalli
@@catchlifewithroshni9721 Should not take more than 20 minutes.
Oh nice, didn't know this was opened for public.
As a kannadiga i can say in few years this will be also conjested ...Bengaluru is growing rapidly with no end
Buy one site on the edges of this road bro, you will also grow along with Bangalore ...
@@chiraagkashyap4412 ha ha ....but it is not a joke
Don't think so. Bangalore itself has around 30Km radius from Majestic. Here we are talking about 100Km radius. Doddaballapur itself is very huge. Here we are talking about 9 taluks connecting to each other. So no traffic would be there.
@@chiraagkashyap4412Bengaluru is still the fastest growing major city in the world though😅
One day it will become empty land like Silicon Valley sure one day if IT exit Bangalore is noting it’s empty 😂
The fact is that Bengaluru is much bigger than Hyderabad and shares its border with Andhra, Telangana and TN and is also now considered as part of the Bengaluru-Mysuru twin cities. Bengaluru is also part of the Golden Quandrangle Highway from Kashmir to Kanyakumari! Bengaluru has already one 20 year-old Outer Ring (120 Kms) (which has become very much like an arterial road now) and an intermediate Ring Road from Domlur to Koramangla. But the superfast development of Bengaluru has now necessitated the Peripheral Ring Road (281 Kms circumference!!!) which is coming up at 15/20 kms away from the existing Outer Ring Road! Bengaluru is expanding on a 360 degree basis with unpolluting Companies/factories and housing societies and the traffic jams are also inevitable in such a scenario despite the fact that all main roads in Bengaluru are quite wide and may improvements to infrastructure is also done!
Absolutely true
This is a useless road for city traffic. Who will take 130 kms detour to go to other part of city
@@Cooperisbooed This road is not for city drivers..its for outstation lorries/traffic to avoid Bangalore city.
@@kesarisathyakumar2901 i understand that. But think someone coming from tumkur road to hosur road, nice road is like 25 kms, add another 25 each side to dobbospet and attibele. But this STRR will be close 120 kms.

@@ajk9233 farmer's protest was politically motivated. Everyone knows that. Inflation right now is not just an Indian phenomenon, but a Global phenomenon. India is not immune to it as it is globalised.
As a banglorean i can say good job by the govt it's pouring crores on infrastructure now. if previous governments had done the same in 90's bangalore would have been a better place .
Breathtaking visuals, excellent work as always droneman.
Very nice video, I really liked it. Thank you for showing us the info and the progress of it.

Satellite Town Ring Road announced 2018 - Requirement: Not Urgent - Half work already complete
Even if you give 100 lanes, our great truck drivers will not stop driving on the right most lane
😂😂😂 100%
True. Thats very irritating. They make such huge roads useless.

Suggestion to make videos in English also, for greater reach. Can start Droneman English, that way you'll have more reach from non-hindi speaking people, and also you will have international audience, let the world know about the development in our country!
Jai Hind! Great video as always!
Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻
Agree with that, good video but can't understand ! You can use even AI to translate from Hindi if you are not good in English
There should be no construction allowed through bannerghatta national park. Instead, take the alignment further south. Forests and wildlife are as important as infrastructure.
Further south is a wider area of the BG national park. So, the only option is to go along the existing 4km road between Anekal taluk and Thattekere.
Nice video, but alignment mentioned by you is wrong, after Hoskote it's not via Sarjapura, STRR crosses TN/KA border near Chikka Tirupati and passes to surround Hosur and Anekal and finally touches KA/TN border near Bannerghatta.
The government should pay the creator for such nice info
Peripheral ring road will help as much as this to decongest the traffic.. But that's been in cold storage since 2008
First it was planned between hoskote - attibele. Now The route from hoskote towards south is not going to connect with attibele. It has been planned via on the outskirts of hosur City (tamilnadu). The route crosses from hoskote via chikka tirupati, hosur city outer circle, hosur airport, then again rejoins into Karnataka at anekal. Ofcourse hosur is in Tamilnadu, but the traffic congestion is going to blast beyond Karnataka border(attibele) since the growth of Bengaluru - hosur is becoming like twin cities. So as to plan for the future, the route for satellite town ring road is planned across state borders.
Hosur Airport is cancelled
@@josephjaisonv So now will this road pass through Sarjapura & Attibele?
@@sidhesh1000 its going via chikka tirupathi (close to sarjapura) to hosur outskirts only
Thank you sir for this update ❤

Bengaluru has old system of Bus stand in central part. If you see KSRTC buses which are running from different town for Bengaluru waste their lot of time approx 3-4 hours in traffic jam to travel from outer area of Bengaluru to bus stand. They need to shift bus stand in north south east west seperately near STRR road like near hoskote for bus going in east direction, Yelahanka for bus going in north direction, kengeri for bus going mysuru direction south-west direction, Anekal for bus going south east direction. They need to construct new bus stand integrated with railway station and metro so public coming from outer part can deboard from bus to Suburban train & metro and commute fast traffic free. Existing infrastructure is all buses come to central part of Bengaluru which is creating huge line of buses every day in central part of Bengaluru as traffic jam
The STRR does not pass through Sarjapura. It passes through Malur, Hosur, Anekal.
Much needed, ring roads are essential and ease not only traffic but burden and stress of travellers. Bypassing Maddur, mandhya and other taluks has helped me personally to visit mysore to meet my relatives within 2hrs and after reaching there i don’t feel tired like I used to before.
So , is Hoskote going to be a good location to invest in?
Do u know the upcoming KHB projects in Hoskote and Devanahalli. These are close to STRR
NHAI will eventually change the wording from 'access controlled expressway' to 'access controlled highway' once the marketing hooplah is over.
Everyone is concentrating more on the advantages of the STRR. Yeah, I too agree that the traffic will be reduced to the maximum extent, but no one is bothered about the fact that it has to pass through BNP, in the "Eco Sensitive Zone", and it is an "Elephant Corridor" as well. Extending the road and the movement of vehicles in the BNP will intensively affect animals' movements. We humans think that only humans are living on this earth, which is not true. Every being on this earth has the right to live. Traffic is what we people create. Using public transport instead of individual vehicles can help reduce traffic as well as air pollution. We have to think about other aspects too; constructing roads is not the only solution.
But they are providing 11km elevated corridor
@@yourbff1484An elephant is about 12 feet height, but the elevated high way proposed is of 15 feet height . Can elephant move comfortably? They are also adding tin sheets to reduce the vehicle noise on the side wall. All the dust and smoke from vehicles will get collected on it and when it rains it will come down and it will destroy the flora and fauna. Vehicles movement at night is also creating light pollution which is another serious issue.
Bangalore have total 4 ring road's. Inner, outer, peripheral and satiligh
Great capture! One small correction, this is not an expressway!
On a side note, if you could create a video to explain the difference between road types (not sure if you already have one)
It's part of an expressway... it transitions into the Bangalore Chennai Expressway at the Hoskote interchange.

Instead governments both central and state should concentrate on developing it parks ,industries in other districts
All nice and well, but at least the new Karnataka government should at least now focus on developing other districts. For the last 20 years, Bengaluru has been the focus of every party that comes to power. What to do when so many Karnataka MLAs are themselves invested in the real estate business!
I know Bengaluru is a major tax generator but unless the government spreads the jobs around, the problems of Bengaluru will only get worse! The water quality, the air pollution, the corruption -- and on top of that, the unreasonable real estate prices! 2BHKs are now reaching nearly a crore in many corners of Bengaluru! It makes NO sense!
SRR and Peripheral ring road should have been completed years ago to ease the congestion, but PRR is stuck for 5 years now and I think SRR will meet the same fate.
Peripheral ring road was seen only on paper. SRR is already under construction.
@@sagarhp4732 nope, road near sobha grand in bellandur is dug up and they have laid even pipeline on side for the project. It hasn't moved since that phase for many years now
PRR has issued bcoz it's handled by BDA which is under state government. U know how Karnataka govt is changing from time to time. That's why PRR project is not strictly focused unlike NHAI.
Whats the progress of Pune's ring road project? I heard it started....

lol seriously bangalore is constructing now???, IN hyderabad CBN proposed in 1998, YSR started it in 2004 and completed in 2010, we've been enjoying ORR since 13 years
Mr Rmadaan you commented that Bangalore is bigger than Bangalore but Hyderabad is surrounded by Rangareddy District Medchal Mlkajgiri District still we call Hydeerabad and Seunderabad Contonment of nearly 30 Kilometers Length 2nd Biggest Contonment of India thats why City of Hyderabad doesnt look Bigger Now the Population is aroud 11 Crore 40 laksh under Hyderabad Metropolital Area 65 Kms Due to vast Contonment area Military Development On this side there is no Development.
Hyderabad has already the outer Ring Road which 154 Kilo meter Round about and worlds biggest outer Ring Road There is less traffic jams in Hyderabad City Hyderabad have wider Roads good Metro connection with 60 -65 KMs it most livable City of India Gastronomy ( Tasty Local Food )City of India declared by UNESCO and fourth Gastronomy city of the World Hyderabad Rentals are Cheap Many are settling environment is nice you may be surprised to know that before 1956 Bangalore not Garden City of India But Hyderabad where many(3000) lakes and plantation was there but now there are very few lakes in 50 count though still cooler except during May Month the temperature soars to 44 I am not boasting come and live you will get the experience.

There's a term coined based on Bengaluru's traffic congestion.
If someone is stuck in heavy traffic, they say I'm "Bangalored" 😂😂
I hope this strr project gets completed soon.
Being from Karnataka, I have no hopes on the state government. Only hope is the Central govt and NHAI. The state government is so incompetent that they are unable to even acquire land for the peripheral ring road (PRR) . Now they dont have the funds for anything, all thanks to the freebie guarantees.😑

This is my country
I see 3 issues:
1. This ring road is not gonna decongest Bengaluru city traffic coz the tech parks currently in the city will remain. People currently living in the city will not travel so far away from the city to work.
2. With this new outer ring road, all the current greenery up to this ring road will soon start to vanish. If real estate companies haven't already bought their land for development, they will soon start doing so and start setting up new tech parks as well. This will indeed coz people to flood to Bengaluru in greater numbers.
3. The major party hubs are still in the heart of the city...... so evening traffic on weekends aint going anywhere.
This new outer ring road will only help those people who are currently passing through Bengaluru to reach other cities.
Dear North Indians Dont make Bangalore Dry Land Stop coming to Karnataka. Improve your states and city or fly to some other North Cities
As a native of Bengaluru i think this project is 50-50 usefull and useless for a normal person living in the city center ..but it will definitely improve outskirts of the city and satellite towns around the city...not to mention it will reduce traffic on outer ring road, nice ring road can't wait for upcoming itrr(intermediate, industrial town ring road) and prr which will complete the other half of nice road which altogether will form 4 ring roads in and out of Bengaluru 1st-ORR,2nd-NICERR&PRR,3rd-ITRR,4th-STRR ❤
PRR will take another decade bro. Land acquisition is still not progressed well. No one should expect PRR till 2035 atleast.

When will another alternative highway 🛣️ will be developed to reach Tumkur ?
I don’t think there will be an another highway from Bangalore to Tumkur.
Bangalore to Pune expresses way discussion in progress. But it will cover Tumkur city . From Maharashtra - Pune - Belagavi - Bagalkote - chitradurga -Sira -Madhugiri - Koratagere - Dabaspete STRR road .
Periperhal ring road is planned from Tumkur to Bangalore NICE road . Don’t know how many years it will take.
Periphery Ring road will really help decongest Bangalore roads
