This looks the the 3rd outer ring road. This will benefit trucks to bypass city but for commuters you need an inner ring road from the point Mysore expressway ends. The actual city limits are probably 50 km inside this ring road. Also at so many places this road was directly connected to at-grade normal roads. Until they are removed, this looks like a semi-expressway. Also they need to make the reserve lane wider as there are only 2 lanes. Hopefully the new ring expressways planned in Pune and Mumbai are completely elevated and not repeat these mistakes.
You are right that this looks like 3rd ring road. There still needs 2 rings inside it. But no need for completely elevated expressways for ring road. That just increases the cost needlessly.
Ring roads inside city limit should be under the city government. No need to burden central government for that. City municipality can make plans for future expansion and make ring roads according to plan for next 30 years.

Bengaluru needs to add more public buses in addition to this ring road.

Lots of truck and other heavy vehicle is running on overtaking lane, police should be take strict action against such drivers. Follow rule and regulation
Only solution to overcome this issue is making it 4 lane to at least 6 lane highway, because truck drivers not at all interested in following lane discipline.

Hi.. thank you for all your videos. They're very informative. Just one point seems to be missing. The stretch from Hoskote to Doddaballapura road intersects Bangalore- Hyderabad(Nh44 I think) highway near Devanahalli.
I have traveled on this road... its a very good drive... however i dont know why there was no interchange planned at devanahalli or NH 44 connecting blr to hyd. It was a lot of inconvenience. Major gap in planning and designing.

This looks the the 3rd outer ring road. This will benefit trucks to bypass city but for commuters you need an inner ring road from the point Mysore expressway ends. The actual city limits are probably 50 km inside this ring road. Also at so many places this road was directly connected to at-grade normal roads. Until they are removed, this looks like a semi-expressway. Also they need to make the reserve lane wider as there are only 2 lanes. Hopefully the new ring expressways planned in Pune and Mumbai are completely elevated and not repeat these mistakes.
You are right that this looks like 3rd ring road. There still needs 2 rings inside it. But no need for completely elevated expressways for ring road. That just increases the cost needlessly.
Ring roads inside city limit should be under the city government. No need to burden central government for that. City municipality can make plans for future expansion and make ring roads according to plan for next 30 years.
