It breaks my heart how you can notice that he's getting scared when he's starts showing the photos, but at the same time I feel so proud of him for being so brave from the beginning and stop being scared as he continued with the presentation
Indecisive N.E.E.T i'm gonna add a couple things to what you said. ShiroiOkami there is actually scientific proof that trans people have the brain structure of the opposite sex. So he would have a male brain even though he was born in a female body. If you search "asap science transgender" on youtube you can find a video that explains it with scientific facts to back it up. hope this helps and that everyone has a great day!
Lauren Baker I can understand with just reading the postings on her after viewing the video, people no matter what will be negative to anyone who Transitions. I know because by me taking a stand for myself I don’t give a care what people think of me anymore. The one thing that stopped me from taking that leap was I was more worried what others thought of me then what I thought of me. Once I said enough is enough and took a stand for my body not anyone else, i started dressing full time. Is the grass going to be greener on the other side of making an educated decision,I can honestly say no, but sometimes in your life you have to be honest with yourself and make that change. I have absolutely no regrets and living my life the last two years plus as the true me. There is a couple books out there called True Selves, and KnowYour Why. Both excellent books to read and help you with your educated decision. Therapy is a great start as well, before this I was never involved in therapy. I have served this country for 12 years and the VA has a wonderful support group. By me speaking up here, likelihood someone or more people will jump on this and say things thinking I will change back to whom I was before, I will take it all under advisement and that will be that. At the end of the day no matter what I put my head to the pillow and still no regrets with my decision to live my life.
I remember seeing this video 4 years ago as a 13-year old and being so shocked that there was someone else out there just like me because up to that point I had only ever seen negative things about transgender people and so I was in denial big time. This video gave me hope and courage and I was able to finally come out about 2 years ago.
How can you have the confidence to come out to your whole class who only just met you when I can’t even come out to friends who are also part of the LGBT+ community
because coming out to strangers is actually easier. They have no expectations for you that you HAVE to meet. Because if they don't like you, you just decide not to form a connection. If they can't accept you for who you are, screw them. But if it's people you know, your family, your friends, classmates you've known for years.... The connection is already there. You can't just ignore them, if they react badly. You have to either convince them to be more supportive and educate themselves... or you have to actively break your bond with them. And that's bound to hurt more than strangers being unwilling to talk to you. Coming out to people you love is the fear of loosing something that you have come to depend on. That you might need. Coming out to strangers is the fear of never getting it in the first place. It's still shit, but it's different and often easier to live with.
Just some Karen with internet access dude this guy doesn’t need bottom surgery, he prolly grew some balls before that presentation out of sheer willpower
He’s brave, but this person ain’t go no balls. No biological balls. I had balls. What do I mean by had? STORYTIME!! I was born a man but had the bottom operation without having to live as a woman. True. So now I can say I’m a grown man, with breasts and a vagina!! I also stopped feminizing hormones/drugs, because I’m worth it. Maybe it’s maybelline. It’s all true, so consider that.
He did this in 2014...? Wow. Watching this in 2020 and knowing how much of a difference there was with acceptance and understanding just 6 years ago had me on edge for the entire video. I was so relieved and happy to hear his classmates clapping and cheering in the end. Inspiring is definitely the correct word lol
RUclips 2014: nah 2015: Nope 2016:Not yet 2017: not quite 2018:maybe soon 2019: LETS RECOMMEND THIS!!! Edit: Ig its getting recommended in 2020 too lmao
My anxiety level went through the roof watching this video. I was so nervous for him I was shaking a bit. But he is so very brave and I'm glad he had the courage to get up there in front of all of those people and tell his story
**correction *tear drips down cheek as your heart beats faster, and faasstttteerrrrr, AAAND FFFAAAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTEEEERRRRR,-* Idk what I’m trying to say :’3
@Dr Mobius II Is it that hard to respect people? Do you even know what the the fucking process is for a person to transition? I bet you have no clue. Didn't your parents teach you if you have nothing nice to say, to shut your mouth?
@Dr Mobius II Are you done? What people do with their lifes is honestly none of your fucking business. If there is no harm done to anyone, shut the hell up?? Alot of trans people don't necessarely have bottom surgery because it implies alot of risks. Trans KNOW that they are BIOLOGICALLY male/female. The reason they are transitionning is because they suffer from gender dysphoria. If they want to live comfortably, transitionning is most of the time a great solution for people who suffers from that condition. You don't have to support/agree with the body modifications they do, but respect is the key here. Respect other people. That's it. Insulting people that do things you don't agree with will never make your point come across and that's a fact. If you had an onze of maturity, you would know how to discuss things.
YeshPlz gender and sex are different, educate yourself. "Gender-A similar category of human beings that is outside the male/female binary classification and is based on the individuals personal awareness or identity." As you can see, the definition clearly states that gender is different than sex, sex being the biological identification.
Alex Thompson You’re an actual idiot. This whole presentation was amazing, it has nothing to do with the fact that he is transgender, but everything to do with how well he spoke and how confident he was.
I am so proud and I don't even know this kid. This is so hard to do, I'm really glad he had the courage to do this. Shame on the people that are discouraging him saying he will never be a real boy. What is he, Pinocchio? Even he turned into a real boy and he was made of _wood._ Trangender's will always be supported by me and thousands of others.
Be yourself but don't just say it out loud everywhere you go. If a normal person is gay/trans/anything else he won't make a presentation on it just so the whole class can know about it. A normal person would just keep it for themselves. I feel like many ppl just try to be gay, vegan or hipster only becouse that's what's popular atm and they know they'll get a lot of attention. I think what I wanted to say is - be yourself, but don't, just please don't try to be anyone else just becouse it seems popular.
Maximoniom69 now, thats ridiculous... mind your own business! It’s his life!!! He gets to choose how to live it. There are bigger problems in this world so instead of focusing on insulting and hating on people who are brave enough to be open up about who they are, you should back off and spread positivity instead of hatred.
doodalia Okay first of all, This is a public comment. You can't say "Mind your own business" It Doesn't work that way. Second, if you teach kids that you are accepted no matter what you are, they're going to expect that all the time and won't know how to react when their rights are threatened. Lets say that somebody from another religion (that is against transgender rights) attempts to assault them. They cower and break down, allowing the aggressor to easily overpower them and injure them. And don't even get me started on how sex change operations are a waste of money, resources, and time.
Maximoniom69 alright, listen up you little shit. You're saying being yourself and getting accepted for who you are is a bad thing? Someone being transgender isn't affecting your life. People get plastic surgery to feel better about their bodies and themselves but apparently gender reassignment surgery is a "waste of money". Well guess what fucktard, it's not a waste of money, it makes them feel good about themselves and that's all that should matter. If asked whether or not you wished for world peace you would probably say "yes" and then here you are, doing the complete opposite of trying to make that happen. I'm not saying this to try to change your shitty, corrupted mind. I'm saying this for all those transgender people who get shit like this everyday because your dumb ass can't accept the beautiful people in this world
Midori Tea First of all, Insulting people is not a proper way to debate, stop embarrasing yourself. Second, World peace is impossible. It is human nature to always have the urge to create some type of conflict. Third, gender reassignment surgery is a waste of money and resources. They do not need to go out of their way to spend thousands of dollars and waste resources just so that they can feel good about themselves. Besides it's not guaranteed to improve the their overall hapiness, the transgender suicide rate is 40%! Let that sink in for a minute, And before you say "Oh that is because you monsters bully these innocent kids!" Have you ever heard of a human emotion called 'regret'?
He's so inspirational. Me coming from a highly religious family that doesn't believe in other genders or sexualities, I'll be waiting until I can support myself before I come out... These stories just make me feel better about the rest of humanity though. :)
they Doom humanity u can just imagine in future schools . bioteacher; ok kids this is a female and this is a boy but don't worry thanks to our last butt hurt generation u can get hormones pumped in u to look like the opposite one
Smiling Angel my personal family, mom step dad and bro wouldn't care but my 4 out of 5 different sides of my family are religeos homophobes, they all ready hate our family cause we don't believe in god.
BRAVERY? He's literally standing in a class with everyone accepting him. If that's what you call bravery you really need to re learn the definitions of words.
Your words are contradicting. A part of 'growing up' is taking into account how other people feel and react to things and coexisting with each other. It's not minimising someone's experience just for the satisfaction of doing so. I hope one day you'll learn and understand that other people feel differently then you. This is bravery, and not even being able to admit so is cowardice. So in other words the only one who really needs to grow up is you.
This class is so calm about this? My class, or even almost my entire school, would start screaming or/and laughing I love everything about this though❤️
One guy got into a fight because someone asked him why his friends were calling him he The person punched him after arguing for 15 minutes and the teacher doing nothing
I have been giving informational lessons about the same subject (and in my case, this was about being transgender, though we had people along who were gay or bisexual as well) in high schools throughout my city. It really depended on the classes, some where ultrasilent (and not always in a good way), some obnoxiously loud and those in general had a very hard time focusing on the lesson they were having, and then you had all the sorts in between those two extremes. We had a round in which the students could answer certain statements by agreeing with them (showing a green card), being neutral about them (showing a yellow) or disagreeing with those (showing a pink card). This would usually tell something about our perception of the social security in the class we were dealing with: if the class had already been through some life-changing moments (a student getting killed in a house-fire or getting into a fatal car accident, for instance) and the ability to be able to talk about the horrible thing that had happened in that classroom had been there, we usually noticed this in the way students answered to the statements: they usually gave very mixed answers based on their own opinion, because there was a mutual sense of security none would get into trouble for speaking their mind. In classes where the social security was much lower or sometimes non-existent (and in which agreeing to a statement might prove to be controversial and result in trouble later that year), we usually noticed 2 or 3 "group leaders" that held up "the right answer" (while we stated there was no right or wrong from the beginning) at which the rest of the group followed. The last category of classes usually were the same kind in which telling our coming out story did not cause people to ask questions at all, afraid (and sometimes rightfully so) that their curiosity would be reprimanded with bullying afterwards.
He's a good looking dude. I would've never in a million years guessed he used to be a girl. I guess all that stuff worked! By the way I think you're setting s great example to a lot of people going through what you did by saying what you did in front of a whole class. I'm not transgender and I'm a guy (also comfortable with being one) and I can honestly say if I was going through that, I wouldn't have the balls to say that in front of everyone.
+Lana Banana I hate when people look for things to get mad at. I'm pretty sure everyone., as well as I, took that as the transformation went great and he looks exactly like a normal guy. Stop trying to instigate things.
I'm not trying to "instigate" things. You could have just said "He looks really good! Nice looking man" from the beginning instead of "I would have never guessed he was trans". That's all.
@@rileyruiz3441 hi! if you need help with explaining things and stuff just reply to me! :D ^-^ I know it can be hard because some time ago my english wasnt that good either so if you need help im right here uwu
I know this comment is too late but it really takes alot of courage to do this especially in front of your class and I'm commenting this for respect and support and I just subscribed because it doesn't matter how somone is like we're all human we all have feelings and emotions and it's videos like these that really inspire people and get people confident with themselfes and and changes others view in the world and I really want to say Thankyou to people who post videos like these and show to the world 'this is who I am,I'm always me and always will be!' This video is Amazing and so are you!
Still taking it personally against me Lol dude, God is the one who said the homosexual will not enter into his Kingdom 1 Cor 6:9-11, God is the one who said he will cast the homosexual and those who support into the lake of fire Rev 21-8, Rom 1:32, in Lev 18:22 and 20:13 God uses harsh words about same-gender sex and that those who commit the act of same-gender sex shall be put to death...I'm not going against the word of God simply because you don't like it I don't have to "embrace" help, support, stand with you or for you in your "open" defiance of God's law forbidding the act of homosexuality and you can't force me to...I will take the word of God over your "opinion" 24/7 you are the ones calling God's word against same-gender sex hateful because it clearly condemns the act of homosexuality and wants to bully others into agreeing with you against God... I don't accept your disbelief, I don't accept same-gender sex as equal to MALE and FEMALE, I don't accept the lie of "God made me this way" I do not stand with you I stand aside from you, I separate myself from homosexuals which is what God said to do.
KrazyKookiez “I know becoming a boy takes a lot of courage” all u girls doing that think it is easier to be a boy until they figure out that they have no rights and are accused of things they never did
not jaden smith, my name's just jaden his name is Dr Mobious or some shit. He hasn’t done any research, keeps calling people stupid fucks and telling them to put a pad in. He’s asking people who are arguing with him if their short haired lesbians with blue hair. He also keeps saying that people are on the spectrum. So yeah, he strikes me as misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, and ableist. He’s been returning to the replies for months. He’s so obnoxious and he needs to fuck off.
there’s another one, “Useless Nintendo Switch,” very transphobic, saying they identify as an attack helicopter (hilarious innit?) and referring to him using the incorrect pronouns.
@@cynthiaanderson6410 lmaooo seems like a bootlicking nazi to me. you can definitely tell that he's a dude from the far right by how he talks about "short blue haired lesbians"
He has likely legally changed gender. (depending on if his state alloes that) so when you say "*she". You just look like a big idiot to anybody who has an ounce of understanding in them. @fake donald trump
oh man im seeing this in 2018, so no one will see this comment, but this entire comment section is riddled with compliments that are meant to be nice but are actually NOT at all compliments. "hes cute for being trans" "I dont care if he's trans, hes cute" "youre cute as a boy" lmao no .. no.........no
Saying "he's cute for being trans" is the equivalent of saying "you're good-looking even if there's something wrong with you" why would you need to add "for being trans" at the end? Just say he's cute. It's really backhanded and invalidates his struggles and the transition he's gone through.
Wow, I found myself crying after watching this....simply because when I see a person who is such a physical embodiment of strength and courage it is sincerely a special thing! I hope you know how much of an inspiration you are, and please keep sharing your story!
I have two transgender cousins that have had really bad experiences with being trans. Everyday they get called the t word, missgendered, and people purpously use their wrong prounouns. People need to be kinder because it really hurts them.
The worst part is when people afterwords are asking why is the suicide rate so high compleltly forgetting that they are part of the reason of trans people attempting and often sadly succeding.
@Eve i 100% agree. My worst fear is loosing one or both of them. I love them both so much and they're both a huge part of my life. I would be able to go on without them.
@Emily f fuck off. Honnestly, fuck you. How is ut conserning that i have 2 trans cousins?! 2 realy isnt a big number. And of course a girl called EMILY thinks its conserning. It honnestly conserns me that you would come onto the internet and say shit like that.
because my mind the gender I am inside the one I truly am won't let me and I'm happy to say I'm a male who was born female. I am one of some that fights every day tell people why and who I am inside. it's not my fault. hell if I could change I would not because this has opened my mind to the most wonderful fucking people I have ever met and I'm not gonna let closed minded dumbasses like yourself tell me who or what I should be based on what was my junk looked like so go fuck off and don't bother me or any transgender people or anyone ever again!
This has inspired me to come out to my class. I'm not transgender, but pansexual. A few people in my class already know, but this has given me the motive to show that I am proud of being myself to everyone. Thanks for the push forward. :)
Lmao who cares if ur pan personally i wouldnt care if i was in your school. Who would say eww about that? I hope you have fun and have others to support u
Hehe yea, I lolled at that as well, I can fill a whole page with incredibly funny (and to some people very intimate and personal) questions. Some questions came up so much that I sometimes think "If I would've gotten 1 euro for every time I got that question, I would be rich now."
Wow, so I was going through these comments and was so shocked about how much hate there is. I didn't realize there are still so many homophobes; I mean, it's the 21st century, I thought we were already past this issue
Lieve Dangreau yeah believe it or not honestly it’s stupid like honestly it was on the news today 2 gay guys wanted a wedding cake and the guy that makes them said “ i’m sorry but we don’t serve your kind” like the hell 😑
There is 2.9k people disliking this video and I just feel like I’m going to explode because this guy was brave enough to tell his whole class that he’s trans like who wouldn’t support this guy
Firstly, you are an amazing public speaker, you have a real presence up there and you held everyone's attention. Secondly, what a true inspiration. There are a lot of clueless people out there - a lot may think those people are narrow minded, but they're not all like that. Some just don't know any different. So it's people like you, your stories that will help educate these people. I'm so happy for you x
Oh. My. God. You had so much guts right there. Seriously, my stomach was churning, I was just so invested while watching this. I'm impressed, man. Thanks for having been so boldly assertive, it's inspiring! (And in case you wonder, for me this means setting a high standard, one that I can take example from.)
@sushshakeous @In Debt College Student if you have it on *SORT BY TOP* comments it'll mainly show the ones that are liked the most, ie the ones with a positive message. You can see a few if you sort by newest first and scroll down a bit.
I see a lot of people or just the same ones correcting people by saying he's a she and you can't change your gender I feel sad People just hate and make people feel bad, while they could do everything else
TheHG12 As of such I would have expected such a class to be in school since thats just before you have to make major life decisions. At university it is expected that they hone your current academics and direct you towards a specialization, not spend time faffing about with such romantic notions of the 'self', like moments.
You are so brave, and (probably you don't need me to say this but I'll say it anyway) I'm very proud of you. You're such an inspiration, not only for the fact that you decided to tell people, but for being your-incredible and amazing- self. Because that's what so many of us lack nowadays. I'm so happy for you Benton, stay amazing.
It's easier in high school because no one cares about you and so they just forget about your presentation. But if you make it funny, that's always a must to make it less intimidating.
I did a powerpoint on the purpose of memes for my english project. My subject was music. We still got an A. It's actually pretty easy with powerpoints, just make sure you have something to read off of.
Ålphabet• Girł it's really not that big of a deal. The only classes I really did power points in were my elective classes and most of the time the other kids weren't even paying attention
The way he spoke was so beautiful. The way he put his words together, and spoke with so much pride. I love this video. Thank you for sharing your story AND this video. I'm definitely subscribing
The way he was shaking and nervous while doing this presentation but still held himself all the way to the end, I feel so proud! This guy inspired me to be a better man and overcome my fears. Thank you!
first off i know this is an older video. second off ik i obviously dont know you but i am so genuinely proud of you. the amount of courage, strength, and just overall bravery that that had to have taken is unreal. as someone who is genderfluid and has changed their name (not yet legally) it eventually occured to me that i would be coming out for the rest of my life. coming out is a process that never ends and thankfully ive found it's a bit easier each time. it's hard coming out as something that most people havent even heard of. every coming out comes along with a "what's that?" and "so you're like an 'it'?" and it's frustrating but you have just even more so proven to me that coming out no matter how many times and to how many people you have to come out to, it is not only important but uplifting. it comes with so much anxiety but in the end it's so freeing to know that it's just out there and there's no more hiding from the struggles youve faced to get here. ik you most likely wont read all the this but if you do my point is thank you
this is so incredible and inspiring and powerful. i’m in tears. you’re such a strong, amazing person for doing this. i would never have the courage to. you’re awesome. keep it up 💛
Your presentation inspired me 2 years ago. My year group went to a theme park but for the people who didn’t want to go we were given the task of creating a presentation to the year group within the next week. I was new to this school, it was a catholic school and some of the teachers had very traditional catholic views. But I was thinking , along with 4 other strangers (who are now my closest friends) about what to do. And the thought of an LGBT presentation sounded perfect. The majority of my year group are/had been catholic or raised in catholic families. So many of my peers had no understanding of what LGBTQ+ was. I came out in front of over 100 people that day, the most scariest day of my life but it was worth it. I knew people were confused and I tried to be as honest as possible. But I wouldn’t have done the assembly if it weren’t for this video and this motivation. In fact you could say that this presentation gave me INSPIRATION which lead be into taking a RISK which helped me create a fantastic MOMENT. So thank you man. You’ve helped so many people including me and my entire year group at school. The education was needed.
After this I couldn't stop smiling. I was in a bad mood before watching this video and then I clicked on this and saw how brave you were. This video totally bumped up my mood and now I can't stop smiling. I'm so proud of you
To everyone saying that he isn’t a boy Your correct he is a man 😌 Also omg I can’t even talk to my friends without freaking out and he just came out to his whole class/school :0 so amazing!!! 😌💜
BrodyBruh because he is a Male has been since birth but sadly he was born in the wrong body and so people assigned him as female just because he had a “female body”
I love this. That was so beautifully articulated and your presentation was spot on. I loved how you wrapped it up by bringing all your speaking points together at the end in a final burst. Fantastic!
I tried binding for the first time today (with ace bandages and yes I do know I shouldn’t have however I took it off after like 5 minutes) and I felt so freakin awesome I cried out of happiness
it'sMe TheHerpes I don't see the problem. He is an incredibly brave guy to come out in front of a whole class he doesn't seem to know that well. In no way is he a freak, some people's journey to feeling comfortable in their bodies are more complex than others. Some of us try to lose weight, some of us may have cosmetic surgery, but the hardest process to go through is a gender transition. I have the utmost respect for Benton and he is the perfect role model for those of us in the LGBTQ+ community. We belong in this world, not people like you as you seem to be here for the sole purpose of spreading unnecessary hatred.
You dont have to be scared, i know there gonna be some people who dosent like tue way u are. But remember JUST BE YOU. And youll always have a Friend. Me.
Three Gamer Girls Hey, thank you, but it's really not that easy.. I wish I could be who I wish to be, but my parents would never accept me like that. I think I can never tell anybody how I really feel
+Lynn Yuster im with you. i came out to my parents, and they accept me. but they wont let me go through hormone therapy till im 18(so i pretty much have to do it all by myself😡), and its slowly tearing me apart. ive came to the realization that because i have to wait so long(i am currently 15) i will never get to experience the normal teenage life. i can pretty much throw away my chances of dating, going to prom, and being my real self around my friends(i haven't come out to them).but im glad i got my parents to know what is gping on with me. im not saying this to make you feel bad for me. im saying this because you gotta come out to someone, AT LEAST ONE person you trust in your life. it could make all the difference. try coming out to an adult in your life that you trust that can talk to your parents. idk what to do if you honestly believe they wont accept you. if that's the case, im sorry. at least try to make them see and accept that this is you.
Alyssa Francois He was a great leader, but sadly the Jewish people met their fate D: but I have a question about transgender people um like for example a they are born a boy but feel like they are a girl are they technically a girl or just really a boy but would it be technically homosexual if they go out with another boy or would it just be straight?
This is a more thought out way to help children that have the same struggles as this dude had. Way more understanding than those clout chasers on Tik tok coming out to their classroom. He put in work and had a purpose for the presentation. That’s how you create a safe space and ease the mental and possibly physical health of your students. Safe to say, amazing job.
everyone is laughing at his jokes and the vibe is chill, and then when he tells the class he's trans it gets so quiet you can hear a pin drop. my anxiety went📈
Congrats man. That’s amazing. I could never get the confidence to do that. I’m in a majority Christian school and have a hard time not getting picked on just because I cut my hair. You are a great inspiration and someone people can look up to. Thank you
My heart was racing and I was really quite nervous for the outcome. My college was really open and supportive...yet I still didn't come out as trans til later. Bravo!

How can you have the confidence to come out to your whole class who only just met you when I can’t even come out to friends who are also part of the LGBT+ community
@@the_queer_forest_fairy5170 If you didn't yet and are still friends with em, come out to them. You'll get good reactions from them I bet. ;)
@@eve6523 ive come out to 3 of them ill come out to more when school starts in 3 days!
@@the_queer_forest_fairy5170 I wish you the best, bud. :)
because coming out to strangers is actually easier.
But I wish you the best of luck anyways!!!! Because the relief you will certainly feel, will be much bigger too.

He’s brave, but this person ain’t go no balls. No biological balls. I had balls. What do I mean by had? STORYTIME!! I was born a man but had the bottom operation without having to live as a woman. Dr Mobius II while I understand you enjoy talking about things that you won’t get without rape charges (namely vagina) but seriously leave him alone
I can’t even believe that you have 777 likes. That’s amazing!

As you can see, the definition clearly states that gender is different than sex, sex being the biological identification.

haley devine He is hurting a future that is correct, well mannered, and strong.

BRAVERY? He's literally standing in a class with everyone accepting him. If that's what you call bravery you really need to re learn the definitions of words.
You do it then. Stand up and speak about a very very personal topic in front of people you have no idea will react.
Mili Seguel
Oh wow so brave man holy shit I was going to die oh god. Grow up.
Mili Seguel
Trust me when you get to your 40's or 50's you'll realize how cringy you were now.

I'm not transgender and I'm a guy (also comfortable with being one) and I can honestly say if I was going through that, I wouldn't have the balls to say that in front of everyone.
s
+Lana Banana I didn't say that at all. Nothing even close to that actually, I was complimenting his bravery. Nothing more, nothing less.
"I would've never in a million years guessed he used to be a girl." so all FtM transgender look feminine, and vice versa. Right?
+Lana Banana I hate when people look for things to get mad at. I'm pretty sure everyone., as well as I, took that as the transformation went great and he looks exactly like a normal guy. Stop trying to instigate things.
I'm not trying to "instigate" things. You could have just said "He looks really good! Nice looking man" from the beginning instead of "I would have never guessed he was trans". That's all.

Those are backhanded compliments, because you know.
Saying "he's cute for being trans" is the equivalent of saying "you're good-looking even if there's something wrong with you" why would you need to add "for being trans" at the end? Just say he's cute. It's really backhanded and invalidates his struggles and the transition he's gone through.

Someone let this guy do a TED talk
I wish i had that confidence
Aerotheace ofspades ikr
Same but I'm most likely gonna go stealth
its the environment baby
I keep seeing comments about hate comments but no actual hate comments
@sushshakeous @In Debt College Student if you have it on *SORT BY TOP* comments it'll mainly show the ones that are liked the most, ie the ones with a positive message. You can see a few if you sort by newest first and scroll down a bit.
@@faithful_films_official That's probably a joke but you still shouldn't say it.
He probably deletes them
Ive seen a few haters.
I see a lot of people or just the same ones correcting people by saying he's a she and you can't change your gender
I feel sad
People just hate and make people feel bad, while they could do everything else
If this is not in highschool, where the heck is it? I've never seen College and university assignments anything like that.
University.
Benton Blimey. In England, such non-academic style of self-reflection would be frowned upon in university.
+Husna M lol you have to figure out who you are to figure out what you want to do with your life academically
TheHG12 As of such I would have expected such a class to be in school since thats just before you have to make major life decisions. At university it is expected that they hone your current academics and direct you towards a specialization, not spend time faffing about with such romantic notions of the 'self', like moments.
+Husna M This is hugely inaccurate and will vary in different degrees.
I had a mental breakdown coming out as "Female to male trans" to my mom and u come out to your whole class,,, gimme so of your courage pls
Some*
You are so brave, and (probably you don't need me to say this but I'll say it anyway) I'm very proud of you. You're such an inspiration, not only for the fact that you decided to tell people, but for being your-incredible and amazing- self. Because that's what so many of us lack nowadays. I'm so happy for you Benton, stay amazing.
Power points are really scary and hard for me. I scared for the upcoming power points I'll have to do in high school (in 7th grade)
It's easier in high school because no one cares about you and so they just forget about your presentation. But if you make it funny, that's always a must to make it less intimidating.
I did a powerpoint on the purpose of memes for my english project. My subject was music. We still got an A. It's actually pretty easy with powerpoints, just make sure you have something to read off of.
dont day um or like a lot, and dont smack your lips when you talk, dont stutter, try not to have a voice crack and trust me, no one will remember
Ålphabet• Girł it's really not that big of a deal. The only classes I really did power points in were my elective classes and most of the time the other kids weren't even paying attention
Ålphabet• Girł Same I get very nervous
The way he spoke was so beautiful. The way he put his words together, and spoke with so much pride. I love this video. Thank you for sharing your story AND this video. I'm definitely subscribing
The way he was shaking and nervous while doing this presentation but still held himself all the way to the end, I feel so proud! This guy inspired me to be a better man and overcome my fears. Thank you!
first off i know this is an older video. second off ik i obviously dont know you but i am so genuinely proud of you. the amount of courage, strength, and just overall bravery that that had to have taken is unreal. as someone who is genderfluid and has changed their name (not yet legally) it eventually occured to me that i would be coming out for the rest of my life. coming out is a process that never ends and thankfully ive found it's a bit easier each time. it's hard coming out as something that most people havent even heard of. every coming out comes along with a "what's that?" and "so you're like an 'it'?" and it's frustrating but you have just even more so proven to me that coming out no matter how many times and to how many people you have to come out to, it is not only important but uplifting. it comes with so much anxiety but in the end it's so freeing to know that it's just out there and there's no more hiding from the struggles youve faced to get here. ik you most likely wont read all the this but if you do my point is thank you
this is so incredible and inspiring and powerful. i’m in tears. you’re such a strong, amazing person for doing this. i would never have the courage to. you’re awesome. keep it up 💛
Annie Champlon OT5 or just niall?
When he was showing the photos his hands were shaking 😭 this is really amazing I’m really proud of him for going thro with it
Your presentation inspired me 2 years ago.
Wow! So brave and risk taking. Making yourself vulnerable is so powerful. Well done, you are amazing.
I got goosebumps
why?
i got.... i don't know what i've got, but i would have shot the freak where IT stands.
After this I couldn't stop smiling. I was in a bad mood before watching this video and then I clicked on this and saw how brave you were. This video totally bumped up my mood and now I can't stop smiling. I'm so proud of you
To everyone saying that he isn’t a boy
Your correct
he is a man 😌
Also omg I can’t even talk to my friends without freaking out and he just came out to his whole class/school :0 so amazing!!! 😌💜
Nah that’s a whole women
BrodyBruh no he’s a man
Mr.dmp_ gacha How?
BrodyBruh because he is a Male has been since birth but sadly he was born in the wrong body and so people assigned him as female just because he had a “female body”
Mr.dmp_ gacha wasn’t he born with a female part tho?
Oh shit why are my eyes watering must be allergies.
hey fam

amberphoria Thank you!
***** most people, so stop
true i get your point sorry
you too ;)
+Muhan Silango who cares?! Then why do you care enough that your even replying to people??
I love this. That was so beautifully articulated and your presentation was spot on. I loved how you wrapped it up by bringing all your speaking points together at the end in a final burst. Fantastic!
I tried binding for the first time today (with ace bandages and yes I do know I shouldn’t have however I took it off after like 5 minutes) and I felt so freakin awesome I cried out of happiness
Make sure not to over-bind, it can damage you so be careful :)
yes, why nobody shot the freak ? lol
it'sMe TheHerpes stfu
Embress. uhm... no. but freaks like this should fuck off from public institutions.
it'sMe TheHerpes I don't see the problem. We belong in this world, not people like you as you seem to be here for the sole purpose of spreading unnecessary hatred.
it'sMe TheHerpes You're really strange are you sure it isn't you that should be locked up for observation?
Omg i was so nervous when i was watchinggg. This is SO brave of you!! Great job, i wish more people were like you ☺️. Greetings from Argentina!
Brave as hell man. Respect!
Not only is your story inspirational... this presentation was SO WELL DONE. I hope you got an A.
Wow, I'm crying! I wish i could be as strong as you but i'm way to scared to do a comingout.. You are my new Inspiration and hope. Thank you. :) ♥
??? I really dont need this...
*My ears have been blessed*
Can you imagine having to present after this man's presentation?
This is a more thought out way to help children that have the same struggles as this dude had. Way more understanding than those clout chasers on Tik tok coming out to their classroom. He put in work and had a purpose for the presentation. That’s how you create a safe space and ease the mental and possibly physical health of your students. Safe to say, amazing job.
You have so much confidence to say this stuff in front of your classmates
he is so hilarious in between his points
everyone is laughing at his jokes and the vibe is chill, and then when he tells the class he's trans it gets so quiet you can hear a pin drop. my anxiety went📈
Who's cutting onions?
My mom cutted an Union today and she cutted right in her hand, everywere was blood:) LOL
And i know you mean it As crying XDDD
Your name got me crying from laughing
FatFuckBehindABurningAsshole me
Hey I'm cooking meat loaf chilling😭
Congrats man. That’s amazing. I could never get the confidence to do that. I’m in a majority Christian school and have a hard time not getting picked on just because I cut my hair. You are a great inspiration and someone people can look up to. Thank you
Got so much respect for you man,
Coming out in front of a whole class. That's tough to do. You got some serious guts.
My heart was racing and I was really quite nervous for the outcome. My college was really open and supportive...yet I still didn't come out as trans til later. Bravo!
