It's really generous of Efren to continue playing against top tier players in public events even when he's well past his prime. Many more egotistical players would hang their jersey to avoid public humiliation, but the Magician keeps performing for all his fans.
And I presume also the money he receives to play. Plus, it's pool, not rugby. He probably can play for another 10 years before being past his pool prime. 😂

West Virginia here. Been watching Efren since the late '80's. Met him, the first time, in 'new' airport, in Denver, in 1994. (When the new airport still wasn't open due to baggage handling problems.) They had to move us to Stapleton. He was surprised anyone (me) recognized him. We spoke for about 30 minutes. It was an honour. His English wasn't as good, as it is now, but he was so graciius, and humble. Most players, were anything, but. That American player actually played really well and should hold his head up high. Just to give the greatest player of all time a run for his money was a big achievement. I know I’d be happy if I could go the distance against Efren, even if I did lose in the end.
Please stop with the studio audience (sound track) of gasping for air. We don't need an extra an extra noise to make the thrill of a game we haven't seen seem more dramatic. I was a 7 in the APA when I played. Adding sound effects is disrespectful to the goat GOAT. As an American I am still glad he won. My country has nothing to do with respect for how good he is. But I could have sworn you said he was 71 and later said he was 68. But I could be wrong. But please, stop using the soundtrack for every missed shot......

Rule number one when playing someone at Efren Reyes' level - don't miss. One mistake is costly. Nice to see he's still playing! He and Ewa Mataya were my two favorite players back in the day. I always liked their strategies, and learned a lot from watching them. Bought the books, did the drills, got good myself. :) I always liked Ewa's strategy for getting around the table, and Efren was unbelievable at playing safety.
That American player actually played really well and should hold his head up high. Just to give the greatest player of all time a run for his money was a big achievement. I know I’d be happy if I could go the distance against Efren, even if I did lose in the end.
Florida, USA here. Love seeing that Efren still plays.
Love watching Efren, keep posting. Thank you, Ohio USA
Getting a rare opportunity to play against the GOAT is as good as winning the game itself.
From the Philippines here. That is why he is called the Magician!
All of Efren is the best man! Thanks for the vids
The most people like Efren, because he's a very humble and nice person.

Efren 'BATA' REYES G.O.A.T 💯👍🔥
Please stop with the studio audience (sound track) of gasping for air.
We don't need an extra an extra noise to make the thrill of a game we haven't seen seem more dramatic.
I was a 7 in the APA when I played.
Adding sound effects is disrespectful to the goat GOAT.
As an American I am still glad he won.
My country has nothing to do with respect for how good he is. But I could have sworn you said he was 71 and later said he was 68.
But I could be wrong.
But please, stop using the soundtrack for every missed shot......
From Pakistan. Efren is the best to ever do it.
I’m the same age as Efren and still enjoy playing billiards. I surprise many young players at bars who think I’m easy prey, specially when I make bank shots. I’d love to meet Efren someday. I’m currently living in Northern California.
Watching this from the USA, I couldn't help but appreciate the humor in this game. The balls seemed to have a mind of their own, stopping where THEY wanted to, NOT where they were aimed by the players. Time and again, the balls just wouldn't be pocketed!
Hello! Good observation!

In Pacific Ocean 300 mikes south of Honolulu heading in to offload tuna. I have always loved Efren he was and us such a great pool player. He made Filipinos proud as well. My asawa knew him alreadyshe grew up same bayan. Great to see he still got it
Efren was just warming up. The kid is good, (I am a Filipino American) but Efren is a legend. Both he and the Pacman are legends. Pinoy power!
I don't think Efren ever missed. He did that intentionally to give hope to the other player, just so the game would be fun😂😂
i love Efren truly the king. watching from Northern Ontario, Canada.
I have not played in many years. But i had a knack of playing in accordance with my competition and always coming from behind like this.
EFREN IS A BEAUTIFUL, UNASUMING GENIUS. Thanks for your video. Oliver from Brittany (France)
Reminds of a 72 yr old hustler I played against growing up. He would always take his time getting warmed up I thought) we started out at $2 up to $5 then to $10 by 20 all the pressure was on me and I beat myself.
San Antonio Texas, efran will always be #1!!!
