@@Downecker I quite enjoy Strickland's behaviour, struggling with the emotions of not playing at his best. It shows his desire to win and his restraint shows his respect for the game and his opponent.
Strickland may play pool well but he lacks good sportsmanship. When he lost to Efren in Hong Kong, his attitude was reprehensible. Never a champion in my estimation.
Not even a great player..he cant do 2 or 3 complex rail shots like Effren and no magic wonderous shots like Effren.. another game and he would lose for sure against Effren! Sometimes you are not in your top shape!

Earl is a great 9 ball player who can do what I call a standard range of shots more effectively than 99% of professional players. Efren has far more mastery of the science of pool and and potential for playing unorthodox shots at critical times. Not only that but he is a master across all variants, whether it is 9 ball, straight pool, one-pocket or whatever. Never seen the like, will probably never see the like again in my lifetime.

I asked Earl myself at the Super Billiards Expo who the greatest player of all time is and he told me that the greatest player he ever played was Efren Reyes.
I don't know much about this sports. But i watched so many of his videos, thanks to youtube recommendations. But i kind of started liking him due to his humbleness, kindness and calm personality. I watched many of his videos. He is such a gem of a person who everyone should learn this attitude from him.
Both players are skilful and dangerous. I don't like Earl's behavior at all. On the other hand, Efren's behavior is stunning. Efren is my favorite pool player of all time. He thinks different. In my opinion he's GOAT. Thanks for share. 🇧🇷

Efren consistently shoots a ‘good stick’. I’m sure has his ‘off’ days, but as long as he still enjoys a game or two, why not continue to play. It is such pleasure to watch him play. He will slow down eventually, but the key that is finding something to fill in the time that will be rewarding (mentally, physically and spiritually). I think, however, he already knows this. It is a challenge to fully get into a retirement state of mind.

I’d love to attain Strickland’s skill level but I could never have his attitude. As for Efren, he’s the GOAT and watching him is fun. I feel tense when watching Strickland because you never know when his inner bad sportsman is going to bubble to the surface in some embarrassing manner.

Just because the way he shoot is more correct "theoretically" (by American theory), doesn't mean he's the better player. Efren Reyes is far ahead than Strickland and have prove it many times.
Both are outstanding players, but the mental edge all day to Reyes. and he has personality. I can understand Strickland's frustration with some of the unreal Reyes shots, but that time when that Young Asian gal beat Strickland and went in for a hug, Strickland lost some respect there. Very poor sportsmanship.
Efren may need to hang it up. He isnt as sharp as he was when younger. They say he is the greatest player, maybe not. I can say the greatest player to make *amazing shots*
I lost all respect for Earl Strickland many years ago when watching one of his matches on ESPN. He moved an object ball, but the referee didn't see it because the ref was standing behind Earl. Earl played on as if nothing happened. Even the commentators Mitch Laurence and Eva Mataya Laurence remarked on it, because it was caught on camera. As far as I'm concerned, Earl is a cheat.
I think it is OK to brag if you have something to brag about. Buy you cannot brag about being the greatest at anything until that "anything" is over once and for all. Then, you can mathematically examine the records and declare a "greatest" regardless of opinions.
