Aren't those trees a bit large compared to the building's rooves on the overlay ?

No not really the trees goes way above the rooves at those locations, here is a pic taken from the "blue" dot on the map: ibb.co/GQBzdZ3
But yes you can also control the trees height as you wish. See pic its really cold here at the moment :)
