What a great cover…vocals are almost there and very nice guitar work by the master Johnny Marr. Possibly my favourite Bowie song along with Queen Bitch.
Fantastic. Though I can't help but feel Neil is a bit "Boy Scout" for this particular song. I LOVE it though - and everyone on this stage. Marr did a brilliant rendition of a pretty sacred Ronson solo.
A favourite Bowie song of mine. It is good, and really great to hear it sung, but think it lacks a little bit of precision in the melody. David was great a the half-notes and minors keys.
you may be right about the singing but Bowie never rated him self as a singer. but as a live performance this is so bland and dole and that's were Bowie versions are way better than this
@@daniellastuart3145 I politely disagree. In fact, when I went back to listen to the live Bowie rendition of this song - I thought how much his voice developed through the years. I listened to "Stay" from Station to Station - and wow. I think he was "technically" a fantastic, strong singer, but chose to use his voice in an unconventional way.
Makes you realise how great Mick Ronson was...even Johnny Marr can get there. Compare this with the Ziiggy perfomance...this version has removed the balls and the sex.
Finally someone that does this song justice.
Check out the version by the eagles of death metal. Terrific.

Jonathan, we must have the same taste in Bowie, out of all the songs he has done Moonage Daydream and Quuen Bitch are also my 2 favourites, spooky😂
Dont forget quicksand
Is so so good this performance
Brilliant vocals!
What a great version, Neil Finn is very underrated a great all round talent.
So awesome! Love Johnny's solo.
Wow! Magnificent ❤
johnny marr man, what a guitarist
Live on Beale street ‘93. Oh yeah. JMW
Fantastic vocal aswell
I love love love listening to this.
marr is the man
This is excellent
Drum mix is awesome!
Very good cover.
this is great
Enfin un bonne reprise Belle voix il s'éloigne pas de la vraie version yess
MONUMENTAL ART MASTERPIECE,FLY HIGH SPACE ODDITY.
The singer gets the right sound melody output of a somewhat different style which I like !
RIP Ziggy.... :(
Lovin' Finn's vocals
Can we get more cool? The marriage of Bowie with Crowded House
Wow that’s good!
The Cult also did a fantastic job in Brixton a couple of weeks after David’s passing
The cult est numero uno
oh man i need to look that up, love The Cult
Is there anything Neil Finn can't do? Love this. ❤❤
No, there is not
unless it is to much government drugs them no cause he works for them u losers!
His cover versions are always great, quite apart from his own fantastic songwriting..

Maybe I went too far with "brilliant". Brilliant meaning "fine job" - not brilliant in the American sense of the word.
like that quiet echo at 2:25

I was thinking the same. Bowie's is far more theatrical - vocally.
A real singer not out of his range 😀😀👍👍👍
Neil is absolutely killing it on the vocals. Better than Bowie imo, but at times sounds just like him. Brilliant - love it.
Be nice if he could sing the correct words though.
Devon Schwinge better than David Bowie????? Its a quite good cover but no where near as good or epic as David Bowie's
better than bowie ??..talking crap
Better than Bowie???? jajajaja. Never!!!!!
DevonS….better than Bowie. That comment made me shit.
Did he purposely mess up the lyric “and I’m busting out my brains for the words”?
It looked like he was looking down at the vocals, no? At some points? Funnily enough, it's one of my favorite lines.
Sounds like John Lennon. Quality.
Am dead serious. Mr. Finn is overall both the best songwriter, like Sir Paul said, and even better singer than Bowie on Moonage Daydream.
End.

A middle of the road version minus all the edge of Bowie and Ronson
The Ronson solo is pretty sacred stuff. It was brave of Marr to take it on. He did a proficient rendition.

Agreed. I keep saying Neil is a Boy Scout singing this song. But it's a fine rendition. Great job.
Johnny might be good but he ain’t a patch on Mick Ronson.
Yeah we know. Who cares. Get a life.
Ronson's solo is SACRED.
major fuckup at :56 of the song!
Good attempt/ Not worthy. Claptpon is not God. Ronson did it alll....
They totally somehow fucked it up
Best cover of this song, Johnny smart is epic anyway.
