Fascinating content Claire and Elton , what a waste of some brilliantly cool cars .The auction outcome will be amazing to witness and at least some just might be saved or at least yield spares .
''If you go down to the woods today you're in for a big surprise''. Jokes aside i can't imagine the state of some cars, how long they've been there and to think they were once loved.
The field that keeps on giving. You know your getting old when you remember these car new and on the road. Once again Big thanks for all your hard work taking us down memory lane. Big Thumb's up.
The first Princess Anne joke had me laughing out loud.........the second one I nearly snorted my ice cream through my nose!!!!!........bloody brilliant lol. Keep up the flippin' brilliant work 🙂
Awesome stuff… that Morris Minor… I guess the in dash infotainment system is a “bush”….. glad these cars have the opportunity to turn over a new “leaf”….😂
Good night Claira and elton thank you for your lovely videos of you adventures finding barn and wood find cars on your you tube channel for us to watch I hope you are all well and enjoying your adventures in the woods finding the cars I love watching your videos of you and your adventures in the woods again please keep your videos going on your you tube channel please keep safe and warm I love you so much
Thank you. We enjoy sharing some of our finds. We are very blessed with this one, as the owners are lovely people and are really supporting us. Sometimes, and understandably so, people prefer to keep things quiet.
'Back in the day' I bought a new Rover 3500 (Series 2) and it never let me down. Everything worked and the fit and finish were as good as anything of the time. Ever seen VW fit and finish in the '80s? Way ahead of its time which is usually the kiss of death if its British.
Great video guys! Looking forward to seeing the great moving out, if possible. If not, we will see the cars at the auction house. Thanks for sharing with us and giving us some entertainment on a Friday morning. Cheers
That was fun. I picked the Scimitar and the SD1 from the clues. Good job there Clare. Have owned both of those cars, and they are the pick of the bunch from this field. SE5a Scimitar is the most exhilarating fun I've ever had driving a car. And I've had lots. Cheers again from New Zealand. [Got a good laugh from princess Ann jokes.]
The Scimitar GTE will live on I am sure. It may need new brakes and such like but the Essex engines were very robust so I think it will run again without too much bother. The Morris Minor might be good to go again depending on how much bodywork is left, hard to tell at the moment. It would be great if the Morris Oxford is still in one piece but again it is hard to tell. Sadly I would say the Rover SD1 is probably a parts car as they rusted for England when they were in production! Some more good finds there 'Debbie' sorry Claire and 'he loves his hedge trimmer' Elton. 👍👍
Hi I've just seen your channel and loving it, so I've subscribed and can't wait to watch your play list. Thanks for bringing us all these wonderful classics 👍👍
In my early teens in New Zealand I would often struggle through masses of blackberry bushes to find cars from the 20's through to the 40's. The bushes were death to the cars as corrosion from the dampness was exacerbated by being covered in the bushes.
@@chrislane3974 Lack of stainless bumper trims suggests it's a 2000. Getting rare now. It also didn't appear to be too bad - sunroof looked ok, no major rust obvious. Hopefully that's the case on the bottom half. If it's restorable, the 2000 is worth rescuing. Wouldn't be great to drive, would be gutless, but too good to scrap.
What a massive job . . Id say close to 30 cars . . Great job Elton . . Claire great videographying (is that a word) lol . If i had £s id get that rover and turn it into a track car . . Part out what ya dont need of it . .. Till next time take cate team . Bye from NZ💐🍻👋🇳🇿twa
I remember pulling up at the lights heading towards Victoria street. A Scimitar GTE Pulling up next to me. I was on my bike. It was princess Anne's husband captain mark philips with his distinctive tweed cap. We gave each other the nod. And we took off.🏍🏍🏍
im rebuilding my mk4 cortina estate that was sat for 20 + years by a canal rotted to bits all over but rebuilding it on my youtube hard work but getting there love the videos keep them coming
Good work I had a scimitar one of only 3 that had a turbo with one single exhaust rarver than 2 but used to drink a lot of fuel and exhaust sraped on every speed bump so converted it back😮😢
I wouldn't even try to remove those cars , all the strength in those shells are almost certainly gone. "They were questionable when new lol" Strip them for usable parts before dragging them out.
Hiya Elton and Claire, Do you wish every field in United Kingdom had this many abandoned Cars? its a shame your only going to use the Rover as a spares car, my Granda use to have one in the 1980s to toe his caravan, I'm going to watch the vlog when these cars go under the hammer and I cant wait, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Tricky question, to be honest. The answer would probably be ‘no’. I would much rather find them under cover, in barns, garages and sheds. Im glad that we got the call on this one, though.
I worked in one the biggest BL distributors (supplied the dealers), in Scotland, when the SD1 was new I wanted a V8 manual (never got one) as they were terrible build quality. The heaters were a weak point meaning the whole dash had to come out. It did however have a good feature that was central locking from the start and I think one of the first production cars to have it.
Mercedes had central locking from 1961 as an Option on the very rare W112 300SE long wheel base .I had one which was totally beyond restoration but it lives on in the few others still in existence as a parts donor. From 1964 All Mercedes W100 600's have central locking but it's hydraulic .
The A30 is running and driving, which was the plan, and is now our show car. We had it on display at Woolpit Steam last weekend. These cars are going to auction. Some are already at Anglia Car Auctions and will be available in their next sale.
Elton why are you wearing a safety helmet and not using the hear defenders?? The whole point is to at least wear them as the noise is the main danger to you!!
We’ll lose on these, Kev, unless a couple get us out of jail. It’s been great, though, doing something we enjoy and being able to work together on a project. We’ve also been dealing with some lovely people and gained some fantastic new subscribers. We’ll take that….but I am going to be looking for a few earners this year to fund future rescue projects 😂
I think the Scimitar GTE would run again as it has a fibreglass body shell. The runnning gear would need a rebuild though. Even the Minor would run again as you can get everything for them and for the others that are too far gone would be good donors.

Scimitar is very cool, always wanted one when I was younger.
Love the banter & the laughs you have together!
Another great video and some more excellent finds. Very interesting. All the best Bob

The 1976 Scimitars had an option for Wolfrace wheels and overdrive. My next door neighbour got one then.
Another enjoyable video. I wonder what else is lurking about. Sounds like you have fun.

Really enjoying these videos - love love love the SD1. Keep 'em coming!
another great video Elton and Claire Thanks guys!
Haha, another brilliant post, well done Elton, you're like the David Attenborough of car rescue.
A fantastic episode, I can't wait to see more of the Morris Oxford.
Looooove the sd1 - my favourite here. Another enjoyable video.thank you!!
See, UK Barn Finds is all well and good, but if you know someone with an SM, you've got to tell the world. Claire knows the score!
(thanks though!) 😄
Another great video!! Makes you wonder if there's any more! ...and what's in the garage 🤔 spot on guys 👍
Love seeing all the old car keep it up guys brilliant
I wonder if there's anymore hidden elsewhere in this jungle of brambles your doing a cracking job Elton of clearing the brambles 😊😊
absolutely fantastic! In some ways I preferer these to the actual Bar Finds! Though, I LOVE those too!
@10.52 'RRT' was issued in East Suffolk Dec 1954-Mar 55, 1st Jan 1955 RRT 301 was issued so the Oxford is definately Dec 1954 registered
I'm loving this field find can't wait for the next one
Great find guys
nice to meet you both last weekend, all the best with your hedgerow finds, from the man with the steam barn find
Likewise! Your steam engine, and the story of it, is amazing. Hope to see you again soon.
That drone shot was quite surreal.

It's getting more like a series of Groundforce! 😁

Loving the 2nd Princess Anne joke. 😂😂😂
Sd1 probably a 2.3,with those wheel trims ,great video.
Opporto Red I believe.
I would say a 2000 with those trims. Wind up windows. Chrome mirrors were higher spec.

Hi guy's looking forward to seeing what you find this time 😂have a great weekend and enjoy
You, too. I’ve just been to pick up a Škoda from there. Nothing fell off and nobody got hurt, so I’ll put that down as a good start to the weekend 😂
@@UKBarnFinds brilliant lol
The Scimitar GTE an SE5A, Probs one of the very last off the prodution line for that model. The changed to the SE6 in late 75

Love those Morris’ try to get them out please, great video as always 👍

Wow you uncovered a Ferrari Daytona! 😉
I wonder what might still be hidden when time runs out.
Maybe give "Time Team" a ring! 😄
The GTEs looked like cool cars
Not sure there'll be much left of those Morris' left for the lower 6 inches. Shame as those Oxfords must be getting very rare!

Fingers crossed you find a 1960 Citroën AMI-6 .. we need something VERY UNIQUE and RARE !

Just found you ,great content, what is happening to all these cars such a shame
Good work I had a scimitar one of only 3 that had a turbo with one single exhaust rarver than 2 but used to drink a lot of fuel and exhaust sraped on every speed bump so converted it back😮😢
@4.02, I think the first hatch 4 seater sports car was an Aston Martin DB2/4 in the 50's
I genuinely thought that SD1 was going to be a CX!
Atomic episode :)
We see what you did there! 😃
Well do I remember the police 'jam butty car'!
The sd1 3500 I be willing to pay quite lot of money if you can get the paperwork and ship it to norway.😊
Looking at the interor and wheels the SD1 is a 2000.
I wouldn't even try to remove those cars , all the strength in those shells are almost certainly gone. "They were questionable when new lol"
Strip them for usable parts before dragging them out.
i had a scimiter in the sevenies was caught on the new m23 (opened the week before) doing over 126 mph a very fast car
Sofa King Cool.
Elbow Grease has the most value!

Indiana Jones and the lost motors......
It’s the sequel they never knew they wanted 😂
This seems to be an archaeologic channel
Dont they have a salvage yard over there
Morris 1000
You forgot to mention that the Rover SD1 is modelled from the Ferrari Daytona
if you have got a mighty bush you need trimming and if no one else can help maybe you can hire elton from uk barn finds....😂😂
Morris 1000
The SD1 has all the hallmarks of the 2 litre model, no bumper stainless trim, poverty spec wheel trims.
No 2 I guess it's a morris minor
3:55 Princess Anne had one of them you know
Edit: oh you did know 🤣
More than one of them in fact! 😉
😂😂
Nice to see Princess Anne make a personal appearance at the end!
What are you going to do with all the vehicles?.
Everything we can get on a truck/trailer will be at Anglia Car Auctions.
But wait……..There’s more!

I wear the ear defenders when I’m using a chainsaw, but I’ve got mopeds that make a louder noise than that hedge cutter.
More cars ?????.... OMG...
But it’s not in a barn?.
