    Absolutely fantastic. The thing about you people is we see you at the auctions tidy and spruced up to sell cars. Then we see you like this! Another thing about this 'setup' is we see the cars here, then we see them sell. I mean, that last auction just 'blew me away.' Some of those cars fetched over "£100,000. Why, how? A pile of scrap. As you know from my other comments, I would LOVE to do this, but I have Cerebral Palsy, so have to make do with these movies and diecast models etc. My brother is a mechanic and has vintage tractors and stationary engines. Dad likes rallies too as these vehicles were on the road when he was he was young. Even though he's in his late 80's, we still go to rallies etc. I watch RUclips featuring all the classic car auctions. That's something good that came out COVID19. [I had a mild attack of it] Thank You.

    Some Background to the cars. The guy in Scotland who had all the classic Cars, collected them over the years, He liked red ones. It started from his dad I heard. The red Consul Capri, was kept by the Cook Family, John Cook (my Dad) was a mechanic and owned and ran the Ecclefechan garage. John Cook changed the engine, and gear box, it was kept in a Garage for years after John Cook Died, The garage , was built around it to save it from getting rusty, and sold to the Scottish guy 10 years ago. Its nice to see it will be restored, hopefully.

    This is a great video what a great follow up to the london AC find - amazing .
    This video was a lot better to watch than the last one and the video shows us all just how much work is involved to rescue some of these barn finds - what a huge job not easy but great to watch.
    Will be good if you can add the back story to how the cars ended up stranded there and who the owner was.

    The E type might be an ex local one owned by an old friend of ours here in the Highlands. He hit a cow at 70 mph. The damage is consistent with that story. It snapped the windscreen pillars.

It's going to take some big hearted and talented mechanics but it's definitely a great achievement to free those wonderful cars and get them towards their new life. Well done 👏 ps I and many others no doubt would love to know some background history on how they came to be their and who had the foresight to store them away for all those years 🤔

    Once again we have a hoarder, who could never get to any of these projects in a lifetime, yet continues to aquire more, without spending a bit of money on making sure that they're preserved & protected from the elements. Thankfully now they will likely go to someone who will restore them & get them back on the road.

    • @johna1160
      @johna1160 Год назад +6

      Once again it must be explained to a hoarder whiner that hoarding is a good thing. If collectors didn't collect, and stash away their collection, we wouldn't be here. No musty, rusty old classics to rescue and resuscitate. No shows showing how it's done. No YT channels covering every aspect of restoration. Without hoarders, we'd be screwed!
