Another great vid! Just what this 67 yr old needed! My average drive is 267yds. My stretch & flexibility is better than most people my age due to my former profession. Putting is still my nemesis. 🤬
Reading and following golf instructions for years, I have heard the advice of getting your back facing more to your target in the backswing. I don't know if it was you, Alex, but I recently watched a short video clip about turning your trail back pocket to face towards the target in the backswing. Doing this back pocket in the backswing has greatly improved my hip turn and it’s more reliable! 👍
Good video. Doing something geared towards the aging golfer is smart. More lessons and tips focusing on older golfer would increase your follower’s. Thanks
Thank you for your clear, easy to follow , excellent advice for seniors. Many seniors play golf & watch You Tube so you have potentially many extra viewers. I suggest you regularly emphasise the tips that are particularly helpful to seniors. Golf advice for fit, young athletes is often NOT SUITABLE FOR SENIORS. Golfers can get confused. I have found many of your videos very helpful but this one is great for me & other seniors. A grateful 80 year old with a handicap of 26.
Started playing at 50 and 5 years later with lots of stretch and core conditioning have less stress on back. I do prefer more upright position for putting though partic when practing for a while.
I'm 65. The old guys I play golf with need this video. You maintain your left shoulder below the chin during the back swing. I see a lot of people who have the head move with the shoulders. They are a mess. I will be reviewing this video several times.
Excellent suggestion Alex on a proper senior set up to the golf ball including the flared out toes! As an experienced golfer, that is exactly how I do it! I am definitely going to use your right heel, left instep on the backswing and reversing the sequence on the downswing! Excellent job Alex! Keep up the good work!!
Awesome video Alex! The left toe out tip is sublime genius 👌 Used this since you explained the method in a previous video and now my lifelong MCL inside left knee pain has gone... And I've also added at least 30yds back into my game... Magic 👍
Alex thank you for your videos that have help me in one way your another. Lol. I’m 58 with back issues however I take the pain because I like to play the game. My question is and I think it’s preference but I would like your opinion please. I am looking at buying new woods your hybrids clubs or even a rescue club what is your recommendation? Thank you
This tip makes so much sense and is super easy to implement. Can’t wait to try this on the range. I’ve always struggled with ball position, this will help. Thank you!
Mate, we just dont have that rotation, impossible, bood try though, i admire your contribution, have you seen Julian Mellor, he has it all for us old fookers!! greetings
Thanks Alex! I have a stiff back due to being in a vehicle explosion in Iraq. I can still bend over, but it's not the most comfortable. Which I think this is why I rush my swing. I will for sure try this method!
good video ,as usual. Now then doing these things will not automatically add 30 yards to your drives as in fact your drive might not go as far as usual. I had been doing 2 of the recco swing tweaks and added with todays round the crouch more type stance. It did not help my distance, at least not today. I'll keep trying. Thanks again for all your good tips, keep up the good work
Nice one for us old UN's, little tip from me when you wake for a game, lay on back raise knees, feet flat, rotate knees left and right best you can gets you in the groove think called hip rotations takes no time,,,and works.
Im not a pga pro, great recovery! Now, i do see your left toe stays out about 3 balls to far left. Which recoils you out and in. Again not a pro. But ive helped several people with just subtle changes. ❤
What a revelation, 62 year old golfer, one hip replaced, the other not too far away, I had no idea how poor my set up posture was until I pointed driver at my belly button, this and the open left foot make me feel much more fluid in my swing.
Alex I love your videos and you’ve helped me loads - but this video should be titled for stiff, inflexible golfers. Saying it’s for seniors is a bit condescending. I’m a senior golfer of 5’7” and sub 10 stone but hit the driver as far or further than many others in the club…I stretch (some specific to golf) every morning to stay competitive…maybe some of the office based 30 year old workers would benefit from this video as much as a stiff senior? 😊
Alex, the amount of Lordosis in your back with that posture is a no-go for seniors. Not only is it mechanically unsound, leading to pain, but it is not even good for the younger people. People watching - beware this instruction it will only create pain and grief for you.
*This works with ANY age! But let’s get your hitting the golf ball BETTER*

Also had more hybrids with one length option

Thanks from a senior golfer!

a great train of thought for resetting the swing.
a brilliant lesson from one of the finest coaches in the world - his mantra is to keep it simple and easy for the viewer. Thank you.

No problem 👍

So true. Great comment.
thank you for what you do so well.
You are so welcome
Wouldn’t left toe moving to 10.00 move your alignment more left?
Thankyou

Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for this! Working with your mobility can be a challenge 😫 Learning to golf as a senior is extra challenging but still so much fun💗
Thanks
Thank you so much
Cut to the chase!
Need a lesson on how to eliminate fat belly with no belly button in sight and man boobs
I need a new bag and more tips and a golf psychologist
We older guys like cheat codes 😊
I’m nearly 59 and my backswing is virtually as good as when in my twenties. Full turn!
You Gotta be our age, to know what works our age.
I’ve done a lot of research using senior golfers
You should have an old guy demonstrating with you.
maybe u shud have a senior perform... one who is a mid hi handicapper
Wat does da P stand for on u hat unkle Alec?
Puma
Power haha...
The most painful part is admitting that I have advanced to this category of golfer. 😮😮😮😮
I love to see 30 something’s showing me a senior swing😂
You dont know,only seniors know.
It isnt just age, often medical.
🏌🏌🏌🏌🏌
I’m not old. I’m high mileage.

Can’t say I agree with that personally but ok!
