Many tears were shed on this very day. I swear, I cried so much when I saw the end of Yu-Gi-Oh. It feels like a part of me is gone without it, such an amazing series.
The fact that the voice actor for Yugi Muto is....the same one for Atem, it makes you wonder if he sat in the recording room making different voices and reading two scripts.
@ Sacre the Dragon considering the voice actor for Yugi Muto is the same one for Atem, the actor of both would have had to make diffrent voices and read both of the charecters script since he is the only actor who can sound like those charecters and he would have had to create those diffrent voice for the show to work how it does now..
They do record the voices for the characters one character at a time. From what Dan Green (voice of Yami and Yugi) said in an interview, he'll do Yugi first and then will do Yami's part.
Finally closed a chapter in my life, I bought the complete series and finally watched the last episode. It was sad to watch it end but I am happy to have watched it after 13 years
So atem knew in his past life that he had to come back to help save the world and the only way to go back was to duel and lose against his descendant, cool
@@ezio1250 Most likely Yugi is somewhat the reincarnation of Atem as Seto Kaiba is so Priest Seto. But since Atem's soul never went on to the afterlife before the final duel, I think Yugi is an incomplete reincarnation. That's why Yugi looks like atem but doesn't have the same personality.

My favourite anime with a very emotional ending, i have seen the series many times but every time i want to cry. I have a very strong bond with these 4 guys, and all the others of course!
Why they're dueling: *Spoiler Alert* Atem/Pharaoh/Yami Yugi needs to lose a duel in order to go to the spirit world where he belongs, otherwise he will spend 5,000 more years here stuck in the puzzle. Both Joey and Seto wanted to fight the Pharaoh as both believed they were the only worthy ones, but Yugi decided to that he would be the one to face him. Yugi faced all 3 Egyptian god cards, which are a LOT stronger in the show than the actually real life card game, and the person with his spirit tied to duel monster itself. Because of this, The Pharaoh has the ability to summon the cards he needs when he draws. But Yugi is "The King of Games". Yugi and Atem >Yugi > Atem > Seto Kaiba > Joey
This finale genuinely made me cry... It was almost like atem died even though technically he is dead since hes like 3000/5000 years old. Zorc was by far the best arc of the series. Less dueling snd focus on story.
The moment yugi took down all three god cards with the magnet warriors, the silent magician combo , and when yugi negated monster reborn ms Slifers summon was pure genius . Yugi got the juice now
Why I hate is that in the ending yugi said one journeys end is the beginning of the next like there was never another sequel except dark side of the dimensions the of yugioh really is the best they need to make something with it again
Ya`ll just know Marik was silently cheering on "Little Yugi".Even after his redemption,I don`t think he totally got over his Pharaoh issues until Atem returned to The Afterlife.
