I am biased but I think everyone should run their own full node. It helps the network and it provides you with even more security and personal verification. The cost is minimal.

I was downloading the blockchain on an old laptop and after almost 2 weeks I gave up and downloaded on my Mac with M1 chip... done within 24 hours and that was with my laptop shutting down several hours overnight because the battery died. Awesome Mac
If I’m using a third party wallet, what’s the point in running bitcoin core? Wym trust someone else? Either way you need the transaction to be confirmed by miners so what’s the difference? I’m new to this so if you could give an in depth explanation please Thanks

Otherwise one would have to negotiate with the receiver to exchange something. El Salvador it's legal tender. You could convert to El Salvador"s fiat(paper) then buy dollars. Be aware many countries have alert signals for amounts converted.
