The Jam started a Mod revival in (c) 1977/82
I think Father of the Mods, although I may stand corrected? I don't think Paul is too happy about being referred to as the Mod Father, the same time as he was not impressed during the Jam years when he was called 'a spokesman for a generation'. Personally call him what you like he is quite simply a very gifted musician and song writer who has, and still does bring a lot of happiness and pleasure to people.
