I bought the 5th Generation back in 2015 brand new from the store and loved it. Used it as my main device the entire time I had it. If you download an app on it, you can call from it. Dropped it in the toilet a year and a half later unfortunately and fried it. Used actual phones after that for a long time. Bought a used 5th Generation (literally the exact same one I had) but decided to not keep it. I still have it but it's for sale. Went to the store yesterday and bought the 6th Generation brand new to replace my old 5th Generation and I love it. I plan on keeping it until it dies on me. I'm giving up on iPods however if I drop that one in the toilet or in water of any kind. I'm too clumsy. Device is amazing and it was worth buying. I'm a huge iPod fan and probably always will be. Got a Samsung Galaxy S7 as my main device now and my iPod 6 as my secondary device. I'm the weird person who likes owning two devices.
+@@MattsTech Lol. Awesome. I've always been an iPod touch fan so I always wanna own one. I love having two devices. Gonna use my iPod for work (internet) in order to save my data on my phone. Wi-Fi is bad where I work so it connects on my phone and then disconnects over and over again. If I use it on my iPod, I'll have to be connected in order to use it. It'll save a lot of data and a lot of money. The iPods are my favourite apple devices honestly.
Wish this iPod was stuck with iOS 9. The podcast app doesn't work well on the current iOS. I would buy it still and thinking about it as well. I download a lot of podcast and music. I'm not a streaming fan.
Although this iPod is a good one, I would not suggest buying it, mainly because a new iPod was confirmed by other people digging in the code of iOS 12.2 Apple hasn’t said anything, but developers have found code in iOS that reveal the new iPod’s model. Alternatively, you can buy the iPod 5th gen. which is stuck on iOS 9, but it isn’t very fast.
You can optimize the battery in settings like by turning off background app refresh turning on reduce motion turning on reduce transparency and a whole bunch of other settings
I still have my iPod 6, it’s in perfect condition and it’s still on iOS 9.3.5 because I don’t want it to go slow but my main phone is the iPhone 11 Pro Max
All i want is a iPod 6 gen yeah yeah the 7 gen is out but I can't afford it so I hope my dad changes his mind and dosent think it's a wast of money. Because I'm always getting made fun of at school for having a tablet fingers crossed
I found it on the Apple store app. I found it under the iPod section, then in the “Certified Refurbished” section. There’s also a certified refurbished section on the website, but I didn’t look there.
It's 2020
I'm getting one
I did and it is safe almost like a phone
Uhhhhh.... iPod touch 7th Gen is Coming
I know. The video was made days before that was confirmed. :)

My iPhone 7 is my main device, and my iPod 7 being my secondary device. I do the same thing! 😂
