What I find so amazing is this would be a lot of people who weren't even born when Freddie performed and yet they all know the lyrics. Freddie must've been smiling down this day.
You're absolutely right. I think that would be the crowning moment of any artist musical journey, to be able to see the impact that their music has for generations to come. Absolutely glourious. Much love
In the UK we have been doing this for thousands of years. Before battles we would sing to unnerve the other side, so its in our DNA. You should be in any pub, soupermarket, car etc at Christmas when Fairy Tail of New York comes on, its the law to sing.
Yes, this before Greenday came out. I've heard that was just instrumental, and the crowd just sang the song, and Greenday wondered how they could follow that,
Imagine putting a piece of art out into the world that can affect enough of humanity that THIS can happen a generation after your death in response to your song being played OVER THE PA SYSTEM before the band you're there for even takes the stage to play a concert of a different genre of music. Unreal.
Replying to my own comment cuz RUclips's glitching out on me again and I can't edit - A generation after Freddie's death... two generations after the song was released.
Ain't that the truth? The whole crowd captivated like they're under some kind of hypnosis, but it's just (I say that with total awareness that JUST is underselling) the playing of their music that has that kind of effect. Absolutely mind boggling. Haha I'm sorry you guys are suffering trying to edit comments Rebecca and Karri :P Much love
This is awesome. Therres a thing called " Rudelsingen" (pack singing) in my country. I haven't been to one, but it's basically like this with not as much people. It must be a great experience.
Wow that sounds absolutely amazing. I would love to be a part of that, quite honestly. There's something primal about the connectedness of that experience that feels like it speaks to the soul. Thank you for sharing that

There will never be a band as good as Queen.....GOATS!!!!
50 years from now, people will still be doing this to Queen....no one else.
Look how the clouds drift apart just like if Freddie is looking down, still conducting the audience.
Props to Green Day for releasing this absolute gem.
So true. Im also so happy that they were recording at all! Beautiful moment to capture. Much love :)

Good vibes ✌️
Wouldn't have it any other way
I'd hate to have to go on stage and perform after that loving tribute to Freddie.
