Yep. You can't not sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody, and this has been part of their pre-stage mix since at least '97

That sounded really great. I loved it. Is it , primarily, a Female audience as that is the vibe I got from this wonderful rendition...:)

26 years after Freddies death and he's still got the audience in the palm of his hand. Most of these fans weren't born when this came out (1975) and yet they know the words and the guitar riffs, amazing.

Once it's safe to congregate again, we need this on a world-wide scale, open spaces in every country all linked by screens and all singing along.

Thank you for playing it all the way through without pausing it; Queen should be played in one, even Queen-by-proxy.
It must have been something magical to be in the middle of 65,000 people all doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time; such a feeling of unity, of sharing.
I love how they sing it exactly as Freddie did: if he broke a word over two notes, so did they; where he sung quietly, so did they - though "quietly" from 65,000 people is relative! But you can hear the difference.
I've seen this video oh, a few dozen times - first the video itself [I've no idea why RUclips recommended it, but I'm very glad it did], and then I noticed "reactions to" in the links, so I started watching them too. I never fail to get a bit choked.
Someone commented on one vid that, if you watch the cloud in the top left, after a couple of minutes it looks a bit like Freddie's profile, as if he's smiling down and blessing the crowd. I hadn't noticed, and went back to look again. It certainly does, and I'm sure he was.
PS: you know a song's immortal when people sing the guitar solo!

Only Freddie can command a crowd of heavy metal fans even from the grave. I almost feel bad for Greenday having to follow up after that...almost. That just goes to show how much impact Freddie had on the world. Thirty years after his death people still singing his music...even folks that weren't even born when the song came out.

Singing with the track playing is pretty cool i was wondering how they'd do that without playing it on speakers and that's what they did so everyone would be on the same lyric etc there'd be a delay without it. its cool!

    • @franl155
      @franl155 3 года назад +1

They did lose it a bit when it came to the "thunderbolt and lightning" but only for a second; I suppose they were clapping so loudly they missed the piano intro to that bit.

    • @MsGeoffh

It was playing on the speakers. I was there I know. Still beautiful to behold. I certainly never expected that reaction from the crowd at the same time I knew something would happen if they played that song in our country, but as I said that was utterly AMAZING ! !!

Freddie, bossing proceedings from the grave! I honestly think that he was the greatest frontman of all time. If you can control 65,000 people and have them eating from your hand when you're not only not there but literally dead, then you Sir, are the greatest ever!

Hey! Please react to some Hozier. I have never introduced him to somebody or seen a reaction where the person listening didn't love almost everything about him! He's one of the best writers of today, one of the best singers, and with his voice of honey has sung everything from blues to rock to old Irish folk songs.
I'd SO strongly recommend (in this order, I'll explain why) Nina Cried Power (unless you haven't heard take me to church, in which case that one first, but most people have), for what is one of the best "this is Hozier" songs ever, very powerful, and features one of the most prominent soul singers of all time. (Live version rocks)
Then, I'd recommend you treat yourself to Shrike, an emotional piece that shows you Hozier's sensitive and vulnerable range, as well as being an incredibly powerful song.
Finally (and don't think this means I wouldn't love for you to hear more of him besides this) you should listen to Work Song. Good to listen to last as you have time to get used to him and his voice, and this song just takes you on a journey of simple melodies and the truest example of just how SMOOTH this man's voice can be. Don't expect flash for this song. Just pure, raw singing talent.
Just a few other suggestions after that. Angel of small death, movement (live version), it will come back (live version) and arsonists lullaby.
P.S. He has a short, maybe 50 second video of him singing a song called "The Humors of Whiskey" which if you react to any of these you should really put into one video, as it isn't very long at all, even if absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for your time, I love your channel!!!

Another plug for a reaction to HOYT AXTON. He wrote Joy To The World for Three Dog Night and The Pusher for Steppenwolf. His mother wrote Heartbreak Hotel for Elvis Presley. His own music tends toward ballads and country. He has a great voice and a stage presence that just draws you in. He has 3 tunes that are quite funny, and on the premise that we could all use a smile these days. They are Della and the Dealer, Speed Trap, and Boney Fingers. The last is camp country. The live versions of tghese are best. I hope you'll consider them.

Please I'm about to say something I been bothered by for months. I've watched this video many times I'm just going to say it and please let me know your opinion. Watch the video all the way through, all the while staring at the left side of your screen ,and behind the piller on left side of stage. Now I'm going to make a fool of myself but, I see mist come and go from time to time and especially close to end of video. Now I swear I see Freddie with his Mike stand pointing up. Let me know if you see anything there or am I imagining things , or maybe a stage hand .? What do you think? Was Freddie watching?
