I was actually in this crowd and it was such an amazing atmosphere, it was insane and incredible to hear 60k people sing it together. I remember really tiny kids singing it too
Not really jealous...
i was also in the crowd and it was amazing
65,000 Queen and Freddie fans in Hyde Park, London. We Brits know how to sing plus Queen and Freddie Mercury are part of our country's history also they are still loved by there fellow country men and women. Freddie was conducting from Heaven. 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Green Day makes a habit to play music before they go on stage , that is recorded. When the music for Bohemian Rhapsody came on the crowd sang along with the music ( no words) and this is what happened.
It isn't needed for this. It's the World's anthem!
I love the fact that people (including the other members of Queen) told Freddie that Bo Rhap would never make it on commercial radio as it was too long and incohesive.... well that eventually ended up being far from the truth and now look at those thousands of people (mostly young people) years later knowing every word, guitar break - I'm sure Freddie is up there conducting and smiling ear to ear ! The break in the clouds was eerie and powerful. I love Green Day for doing this during their setup to get the crowd ready for their own concert. Thanks for the reaction - this is a very special moment and it still gets to me even though I've watched it literally hundreds of times.
Apart from the fact how do Green Day follow that?
This is what happens when you get a UK audience hearing what is considered our second national anthem.
I miss this so much. I love the feel of concerts of being surrounded by people that love and enjoy something as much as you do. I can’t wait to get back to some form of this in the future
yees 😭 cannot wait to get back
This is so awesome. Imagine 65,000 people singing Bohemian Rhapsody with passion, in perfect unison and totally in sync. I was blown away by the crowd's out of this world performance. This is the power of music. It brings people together.
it always seems to me that the crowd self divides the gallileos into the notes people think they can safely sing.
Green Day are HUGE fans of Queen. They always play Queen music as warm up while waiting to start their concerts.
They've got great taste
Bohemian Rhapsody is like *THE* Song.
It brings tears to my eyes everything I watch this, it is like Freddy is directing them.
I've watched this video so many times
Bohemian Rhapsody is the unofficial National Anthem of the UK. x
Most of the people t this concert we’re not even live when Queen were around, and Freddie was alive. They had the song playing and the whole crowd just spontaneously started to sing, it was epic !
65,000+ people in [almost] perfect harmony ... imagine having Queen as your warm-up band
ps someone commented on another vid that, in the first few minutes, the cloud in the top left corner looks like Freddie's face; I hadn't noticed, and went back to check; for a couple of minutes it does look as if Freddie were looking down and smiling
This is our alternative national anthem
I reckon it should be the universal song of peace ; Bill and Ted had the right idea, wrong song!
A love song to Freddie. I can imagine him with a huge smile on his face watching this from the shy.
As a middle aged gal who grew up with Queen.....this amazes me. And I live them and your reaction. Thanks for helping to keep Queen so well known and loved!!
I just picked up News of the World on vinyl the other day, gonna give it a listen tonight :)
I know Freddie felt this from wherever he is. There's no way no matter where you are dead or alive, you can't NOT feel THAT much love at you all at once. Beautiful.
65,000+ people and the sky opens and Freddie looking down wrote the song 1975 died 1995 2017 new generation legends don't die
About 28 years after Freddy died, there are people there that were born after Freddy died that are singing this song.
i wasnt at this show, but another one on the same tour. bohemian rhapsody was part of the playlist they played over the speakers before the set began. the exact same thing happened unprompted. it was such a crazy experience
I love this vid so much. Truly humanity at its best
There is a shot of this same event from the crowd that shows the stage and close up of the crowd. There are no prompts, no lyrics, noone leading the crowd except for the choir/operatic section. The crowd singing was totally spontaneous
You know you're a legend when 65,000 people singing your song and you ain't even there and they didn't come to see you anyway! Freddie's smiling down on us.
I've seen this so many times and it still gives me chills! I would have loved to have been there.
Funny story! During Home Free's Euro Tour in 2018 they had Jeffrey East as opening act for all concerts and the last song they played in the airwaves before Jeffrey came on stage was Take Me Home, Country Roads, the original version. It became a thing for the crowd to sing along to it and it was so powerful and so much fun. Kind of like this, but only a couple to a few hundred people. At this point we had no idea that Home Free had already recorded their rendition of it, and I believe even filmed the video. 😁 Thanks for a great reaction!
Absolutely loved your reaction to this, put a big smile on my face, so thank you for that, keep up the good work my friend, love from Scotland
Magnífico o tributo!!!!! Que maravilha 😍😍😍 parabéns a todos que homenagearam a Banda do Queen!!!! Freddie espetáculo!!!
Even here in the Philippines young generation knew the song Bohemian rhapsody..After the Borhap movie came up..Amazing Queen & Freddie Mercury
Think this was their second visit to Europe for that tour. Hyde park, July 1 2017.
no backing track until the crew put a backing tape on the band waited until we finished
Homage and respect to our beloved rock God.. LEGENDS live forever
Where was this? I swear I hear a collective British accent!
Hyde Park, London.
This honestly happens given any event and enough people hearing the song.
I'll simply say I WAS THERE!!!
A lot of the crowd were probably not born when Boheimian Rhapsody came out as this was nearly 30 years later..
42 years after initial release.
I'm sure you could go anywhere in the world and play a few chords everyone sings along even if English is not their first language.
This should be what Britain exports, music, culture, and innovation... not bombs.
Great Reaction, My Friend...:)
Brits just love singing this song.
This is WONDERFUL! Very impressive! Thank you Behind The Curve and Pankesurfer!! Just WOW.. Please react to Pentatonix's Bohemian Rhapsody for sure!!! ...
You're welcome. :-)
And yes, he should react to the Pentatonix cover; it's great. And one of the best Pentatonix's ever.
I, personally, strongly prefer the covers to their originals, but that's just me...
He can do this 45 years later without being present in person; just imagine what he could have accomplished had he not been cut down so young. I just keep having random thoughts of Freddie and the lads walking away with various elections.
I think their were playing the music only before the concert and everybody had the same exact idea... Magic!
If you look at the left side of the sky, it looks like Freddy is watching from above.
Yes he is definitely there.
it hurts me knowing ill probably never go to a concert again, i used to go a lot but with the pandemic, i feel really uncomfortable going to the store or seeing friends, and i dont think i can be in a crowd like this for a long while
and i totally forgot untill writing that out, the last concert i went to was queen with adam lambert, so this hit way different
Part of me really wants to be in crowds again, and another part of me is terrified of the idea.
Once it's safe to assemble again, we really need a global concert, with screens in every public park all round the world
I was there along with 65,000 others and this just happened no conductor or anyone leading
I recommend Love of My Life, Rock in Rio 1985 - it’s amazing. Remember that English is not the native language for Brazil. Enjoy.
If you wanna talk about crowd participation watch Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song and Valhalla Live at Wacken Open Air 2016
Crowd estimate is 60 - 65 thousand.
When is HMB being realesed on yt?
How did Green Day top that?
Honestly Freddie would be smiling
Pretty cool? That was English FUCKING COOL!🏴
the clicker machines tagged 65,000 at this gig the true numbers was 68,000 to 71.000 as copied brackets and other ways in
At some point i was wondering, who is the artist and who is the crowd. Green Day, are we the artist or is the crowd the artists haha.
I go to a lot of anime/gaming conventions and stuff.... well.... you'd think we'd just sing weeb shit right?
Wrong. We do, but there's so many classic rock/pop/ etc that crops up in the karaoke/sing along lineups.
Usually ended with Bohemian Rhapsody. One day we might find a person that doesn't know the song that well, but as a Brit, even the small kids know this by heart and sing along. I never remember learning the song growing up, you just KNOW the song.
Similarly, the Irish Discworld Convention always has a disco one of the nights. Mostly it plays normal disco music, but they always include the Time Warp at least once. I don't really dance, but I'll dance to that.
@@qwertyTRiG That's amazing, I love the Time Warp!
My mom traumatized me as a small child playing Rocky Horror almost daily for ages, but by age 6 you bet I knew that by heart.
I should try to get them to play it at cons, if we can have Baby Shark we can have Time Warp
@@misschieflolz1301 My introduction to Rocky Horror was the Rocky Horror Discworld Show at one of the cons. Carrot and Angua got lost in Uberwald, where they met Frankinari and his faithful servant Igor.
Come on! No one can follow THAT! I am sure Green Day slunk out after that lol
Chorus? Verses? No no no, this is a musical, it doesn't have such mundane things as verses and choruses, it is a stand alone piece of utter genius, written by a musical God and performed by people who weren't even born when it was released.
all for the love of Freddy Mercury...
Jacket and Tie mate to a green day concert, where the Brits sing along to a Queen song , sure you shouldn't be making video about insurance or placement windows ,ffs .
