I love how he said that weng chun followed an evolution which is very beautiful and very much about how things would go seems natural. I'm very happy to my Chinese friend that have introduced me to Sifu Sergio. I've learned so much is a short time giving me a better understanding of martial arts in general. ❤

you make some excellent points, especially forming an opinion after practicing wing chun's sister arts like weng chun and white crane. thank you for sharing!

Camera Man needs to be fired 😂
This would be better as a statically filmed video.

This is an amazing collection of timelines and our teaching histroy, so well presented as always, very polite and respectful too. What we have read and heard as rumor and old stories for so many years, and what many have felt with their own hard work playing hands, you clear up with logic and a well presented thesis. (with your wealth of video essays to back it up too)

Great content sifu Sérgio. Is there a student of yours in Brazil teaching this wonderful martial art. Thank you for your attention. Congratulations from Maceió/AL - Brazil.

Just a quick question, what about Yip Man’s foshan students, wouldn’t they have learned what he learned from Cha Wah Shun? Why do they (Lun Gai, Kwok Fu, etc) do SLT, CK, BJ?

Hung gar ancester Hung Hei Goon actually also did Fujian White Crane first. Later he modified it with shaolin fist influences. There is a Chinese documentary and book about this. Hung gar has white crane ancestry also.

I don't know what the purpose is of always discrediting Yip Man's Wing Chun, he was very clear that his sifu was Chan Wah Shun and later when he died he followed his sihing Ng Chun So, what few people know is that Yip Man followed to Leung Jan's nephew, Liang Xian, who was a disciple of Liang Bi, from whom he learned Muk Yan Jong and Ba Zhan Dao. If you want to confirm it, ask Leung Ting who also followed this sifu on Yip Man's advice.

Not discrediting Ip Man at all just stating what I found through my research and credit should be given where credit is due, Leung Ting’s research is biased and his book Roots of Wing Tsun of who I was one of the first proof readers Btw is full of errors

So what did Chan Wah Shun teach? What does it look like.
What doesn't make sense to me is that if CWS did weng chun. Why does the Gulao Pin San call it Wing Chun?

@@SifuSergioChannel Sorry but lots of people say lots of things none of them have first hand knowledge. Just because Chan yiu min lineage didn't show some outsiders all their forms at an earlier date doesn't mean they didn't exist or that some folks are making some incorrect opinions. It is even more likely that Ip man learned exactly how he said, Fok Chiu's recollections and considering Yuen Kay San;s older brother never taught CK or Bil Tse, Nor did Fung siu Ching so it is quite possible Yuen Learned from Ng Chun so as many in Foshan have also stated.
