  • Tourbox lite is a new super value digital controller that is now available - follow this link www.tourboxtech.com/en/tourbo... (I'm afraid the offer code has now expired)
Tourbox Lite is a box full of knobs and wheels and buttons that you can assign to any function in any app or program that you use on your computer - Mac or PC. Turn your most used actions into quick simple button presses.
I use it mostly with Photoshop or now Affinity Photo. The central knob is worth every penny on it’s own. Choose a brush and the knob instantly changes the brush size. I love it just for that.
I have been using the TourBox Digital Controller every day for a couple of years now and it's a part of my working life. I think it is the best digital extra you can get for your computer - and I’m not being paid to say that! It’s what your left hand is for - or right if you are left-handed. It’s quite happy being placed wherever is best for you.
I use it for stop motion, video editing, audio editing, scanning, word-processing and more. It automatically adjusts to your current, open app. You just have to chose the settings and remember which buttons to press.
You may think its a lot to learn and get used to. My first day took me about a morning to work it out, get set up and choose how I’d use it. By the afternoon it was like I’d always been using it. I would be lost without it now.
There are some processes that I’ve speeded up no end. It’s taken the boring bit out of editing and made it fun.

Thanks for the review! I certainly need something like this but I am hoping for something I can hold in my hand/lap (I draw to the side semi-vertically with my left but my right (which I'd like to use for the controller) is off the desk surface. I am guessing the original (and probably the new version) is too bulky and on the new version, the cord is going to make it awkward in the lap. Perhaps they will come up with an abbreviated wireless version in the future.
I use Sketchbook Pro and it's pretty good for streamlined drawing. Still, its brushes and brush engines and various other drawing tools are limited and the tool is evolving slowly. I have not looked back (at least not very hard) at your video list to see if you've made any about Affinity and the reasons you switched over (besides cost), what tools you use, etc. - I'd love to watch that if you've already made it. One thing that any tool I move to needs is layer support - if I get my druthers, my drawings can be anwhere from a couple (foreground, background, midground) to dozens depending on what I am trying to do.

affinity is different! I'm having to learn a load of new ways but it certainly has layers :)

3D print something to hold it on your lap - there might already be something out there!

Ooh. I did always hanker after one of these, and now they've made it a bit more affordable it is very tempting. A retirement pressie to myself later in the year perhaps.😀 Keyboard shortcuts are all very well but even they can be tedious I find, using Affinity Photo etc. I really would like to work faster and more smoothly and this looks like it speeds things up a lot. Thanks for the walk through Shoo. Yep. Very tempted.

I don't think you generally needall the knobs and whistles and at my age, I can't remember them all 😆
