Bull sharks are so named for their habit of ramming their prey before biting it. They are exceptionally aggressive as is seen in this video and you are very lucky your spear went through its head. It may be wise to carry a power head in future. Good to see you were not hurt and kept your nerve very well!

Either way, I think it's good he explained himself. Not everyone is able to, or had been able to, go spearfishing, diving, or snorklinig, so they might no understand these type of situations. He explained it in a detailed way, which helps people understand that this isn't his fault or common.

Solo Rider I just don't get your logic...it's common sense that sharks don't like the taste of human, but they will still take an investigating bite and that one bite can become life threatening for the human. Let me ask you this, since you "swim" with bull sharks...if you swim with say...4 of them, and a fifth shark came into view and is starting to circle you and become aggressive, you're gonna put out your hand and tell the shark to go ahead and take a nibble (because you know in your mind the sharks don't like humans), that you are willing to lose a body part just so that shark can say "oh yuck, it's a human" and spit out your arm? Yea, no thanks, I think you're on your own there, buddy.
Five years later, this is the first I've ever seen of this footage. I can't believe you were able to react so calmly. Holy shit. Very lucky you were even looking at him when he rushed. Sucks for the shark but thats how it goes sometimes. He gambled and lost and it's not like you had some crazy weapon advantage. Plenty of creatures swimming around with spikes. He had you dead to rights. Glad you're ok, hope you're still out there diving today. 👍

You’re obviously a true sportsman and your love and appreciation of the natural world really shows here. Thanks for caring enough to try and explain your experience
Handled the whole social media situation with grace and civility, exactly what we try to embody in the sport. Makes me proud to be a Fken FNQ spearo! Good on you mate
Today I and a few friends were blue water diving for pelagics off the Far South Coast of Australia. A very similar experience occurred earlier on this day. We had three sharks approach. Two of which charged my two dive buddies at the same time. The first shark was pushed away using the speargun jabbing the shark in the eye. While my other dive buddy held his gun out straight while the speargun went straight down the shark's mouth lodging in its throat. Both rubbers were lost in the process much like shown in your video. In all our years we have never experienced anything like this. We have encountered numerous amounts of sharks, from taking fish from our spears or sharks just being curious as they come and inspect us. Never have we had sharks charge us with mouths open. Thanks for an insight and an explanation on your video, it was very interesting.

If any of the keyboard warriors cared to notice you nevered fired your gun ..I remember the first time seeing sharks while spearfishing and I know exactly how you felt when you talk about fight or flight mode . To restrain yourself from firing your gun shows that even in the midst of all the confusion & adrenalin you were in control of your actions enough that im certain you would have avoided hurting that shark if given the choice ... screw the haters mate , you've done absolutely nothing wrong.
Bull sharks have highest level of testosterone and are very aggressive. You can see this one was in an aggressive attack mode by its pectoral fins pointing down. That is a tell tale sign it is going to make an aggressive charge at you.
@@omgwtflmaololrotfl2368 that's a moot point, one of the biggest factors that secure our status as apex predator, has been our ability to produce "equalizing" equipment for environments that we cant handle naturally.
@@hahahey6761 agreed but the point remains valid. Many people have come to realize we are not the Apex predator in the ocean. We are not adapted to swim fast. We can't breathe underwater. And have practicality 0 means of defending ourselves against predators such as sharks. WW2 sailors their boats get sunk and they get picked off by sharks. USS Indianapolis estimated 150 sailors got killed by sharks. Making it the worst shark attack in history. We are the biggest predator the world has ever seen but every now and then nature shows us just how weak we actually are when you go up against a top predator. People in India get mauled to death on a regular basis by Tigers, black bears, leopards, and elephants. In Africa the biggest killer are hippos. They look clumsy but can out run a human very easy and they pick up speed in a instant. And they have dagger like teeth. Last time I checked we have very weak muscles structure compared to our closest relative the chimpanzee. They are muscle powerhouses. We have no fur to protect vital parts. Lions have thick manes to protect their necks. And we have very weak Jaws with very small teeth. Yes we are dangerous but don't ever think you are invincible. Nature has many times proved that we very weak. And we are also destroying nature at a alarming rate, not only are we dangerous to nature but we are destroying ourselves.
@@omgwtflmaololrotfl2368 "nature is stronger than us, yet we destroy it" uhuh........ you're speaking nonsense. Humans can die, so we arent the apex predator? That makes no sense, because as we've covered we have created means to equalise our ability to survive. A hippo cannot fashion a thermo nuclear device and destroy an entire 500 mile area, only WE can do that.
I definitely feel bad for the shark, seeing it struggle like that. But how can people be mad that he was defending himself? It was literally between him and the shark. I think anyone would do the same if it came that close and you felt the need to take action. I love animals and the general life of everything just as much, if not more, than the next guy. But for real guys, how can people realistically send death threats? That's just messed up
I hope you passed their details on to the Police for issuing death threats. People with that kind of mindset need to be behind bars, if ot for their own safety, certainly for the safety of others! Well done for defending yourself, that shark was DEFINITELY looking at you as dinner!
Luke, well done in explaining the shark attack and your response to social media. I had swam with thousands of sharks over past 25 years. I have had several bull sharks rush me from below and turn at last second at the GBR (my theory is they think we are turtles on the surface) and I have had one large whaler shark attack me in almost exactly the same situation as you in WA in 2007. In my case the shark circled me on the surface and then came up close, and I pushed in away with spear and then it rushed me and impaled itself on my speargun. It all happens in seconds and you rely on instinct. My strong advice for limiting risk is for divers in sharky areas to dive in a pair or in a group which seems to reduce the one on one aggressive approaches from sharks.
I don't think they think you're turtles. If they have as good as sense of smell/taste as the scientists say then they know damn well what you are. We've been around 10K years I think the instincts for dealing with man is probably in almost all animals at this point. They know what they're doing which the more I watch these the more I see how bad marine biologists are at lying to the public or willfully ignoring that they are clearly hunting people. I mean our ancestors have said that's what they did all along and we let one glasses wearing hippie with a Ph.D tell us thousands of years of human experience was wrong why? I think the best advice I ever got was to think or predators like muggers and when you view them and behave towards them in the same manner you would muggers it works.
Nice work mate. Never fun being in this situation! I had a run in with a huge bull shark in the Whitsundays. Must have been close to 3.5M with a super wide head! He was just after the Coral Trout we had on the line. We managed to get out of the way and up onto a bommy in about 2m of water, exactly like the footage you have when you're telling your mates (they're all looking down to see if it's coming for them lol :) Once he finished the fish, he circled the bommy for a while until we made a break for it swimming around 150m to our boat - felt like forever! I dive in Sydney now and have only seen small Bronzies but we all know there are heaps of Bulls. I wear a shark shield because I do a lot of cray hunting around the harbour at night, and peace of mind in the day. I wear it in the day when I'm spearing off the rocks because I just want shark to think twice before having a nip. Touching a shark shield under water is just like an electric fence and hilarious for dive buddies ;) It gives me a little more comfort/peace of mind without being silly about how you act in their territory. Definitely recommend to all divers, for our safety AND the sharks :)
I'm glad you were able to go through everything and make sense of it all and let people know exactly what happened. Glad you got out of there safely mate
I live in Cairns and am a Spearo up here on the GBR. Good on you for doing this video and being a good bloke in the way you deal with the hateful RUclips comments. One thing I noticed from the footage, which I'm sure you already know, is that the shark that attacked you is a male. They are known for having a very high level of testosterone, combined with the fact that he was skinny, he was definitely on a mission to bite you. Well done and I'm glad you came off unscathed and that you still spearfish. I've shown this video to my spearfishing mates to remind them not to be complacent and not to dive alone so you've saved future spearfishermen from getting into strife. Thanks for your wise words and great video!

Yer i did think it was a bullshark when i watched the footage, Experts said that bullsharks can attack without warning or having any precursor to attacking (fish struggling, blood etc) due to high level of testosterone (was a male bullshark). Whether it was attacking for food or being territorial is still up for debate but i thought territorial as it didnt really size me up b4 it attacked. cheers

I love your demeanour and reactions toward the hate you've received. Really good attitude. Hopefully some haters can hear your side of it and listen to your rational arguments. You did what you had to do. Love the vid.
I realize this is probably a year too late... but I am so very glad to see you are alright. You seem like a good guy. That shark was asking for it. You have a right and duty to fight for your life, shame on those disgusting trashbags that throw hate at you for exercising your right to protect yourself. Much respect to you man.
You did a great job at maintaining situational awareness and a perfect job of defending yourself, f**k the haters, it’s better the shark than you! I’m just getting back into spear fishing after a 12 year hiatus, videos like yours are educational, they remind spearos to keep alert through the calm and relaxation of long breath holds. I hope I never have an experience like yours but hope more so that if I do, I’m as aware and alert as you were to the imminent danger!
Javanildo Channel sharks bodies completely get eaten and rot away in a very short about of time by the sea life even the bones are actually cartlidge like you nose so they go too but the spear could be there depending where it landed. Storms and ocean currents could send it pretty far from its original place and might land on sand and sink under it
I think the bigger lesson would be not to listen to those comments mate, everyone’s a hero on the keyboard but when it comes down to it every single one of them would pull the trigger
Your story is amazing. Here is is 2 years after the event, and I think this is just phenomenal. I hope the vitriol toward you was just a flash in the pan and that most rational people can see this footage and the story for what it is and support you in your present and future endeavors. Great job.
This video is insane. I've watched it like 15 times. Congrats on handling it so well. I've heard of bulls doing the same thing, relatively unprovoked, in the Bahamas with spearfisherman. They might not necessarily always bite, but they apparently will ram right into you at high speed. Statistically there are more attacks in Florida, but anecdotally I think I've heard more incidences of aggressive bull behaviour / actual bites on spearfisherman coming from over there. You're only allowed to pole spear there, so maybe that's a factor.
A fairly rare event you experienced and I am so stoked you came out uninjured. I am sorry you were a target by those still developing empathy and reason. I am confident I can speak for the majority of our spearfishing community that you acted in a responsible manner and it is easy to see that you were not in any way, shape or form targeting sharks while spearfishing. Safe diving and thanks for sharing.
Good shot man, I’m surprised you were able to hold it so still. You came out super lucky here. You probably saved some lives in the future, no telling how many people this aggressive shark might have killed after he ate you!
Great video man! I used to dive almost every day while living in peru over a few years. No risk of sharks there but any one of us would have tried to do the same thing in that scenario. We are all stoked you came out on top. People who hate on the video simply don't get it. They're just a bunch of city slickers who haven't actually gone out into nature and truly experienced it. You don't gain a love, respect, and understanding of nature until you have spent a lot of time out there. You did the right thing. I can't wait to see more of your fishing vids.
Good to see you came away from what could have been a life threatening shark attack unhurt. Anyone that has made negative comments are clearly out of touch with reality ..... Who wouldn't have tried to have stopped that shark from biting them ...... seriously.
Thanks for slowing that down Danny. I do wonder as I did before if the shark saw your flopper glinting in the sun and thought, 'another free feed, thank you very much spearo' or was attracted to it somehow and that's why it really pushed in that last 7 or so metres. Good to hear your thoughts and thanks for sharing it with the whole community. Cheers.
Thank you for the calm and and detailed description of the event. I personally learned from it to pay even more attention to my immediate inviroment as a spearfisherman. Your response seemes to me spontaneous and I wonder if I can learn to evade such an attack sideways, getting by the jaw, like in the martial arts. Glad you survived and gone back to the ocean. Best wishes from germany.
Great video. Have watched the original a bunch of times. Good to see a no bullshit well thought out response to the coverage and comments of the first.
I'm experiencing similar thrills of adrenaline just watching this man. The scenery from up top, with mild viz and shadowy light are the stuff of nightmares as nothing but a big toothy mouth and fins comes charging up! I'm so happy you've posted this lucid explanation that lays out all of your thought processes and also the thought process of the fish. If I'd only seen the original video without your follow up I think I'd lose confidence in the predictability of sea life and be forever on edge in the ocean. So thank you for that. I'm glad you're alive and representing all that is good in smart stewardship of our oceans and the animal life within them. Cheers mate !
A real Aussie, worrying about trolls and being all nice 😂 You did the right thing, don't think a second thought about it. Like they say hindsight is always 20/20, so you'd do a few things differently now, but it could have been much worse. And I'm really glad to hear you are back in the water 👍
Props for not letting the hate get to you. Your explanation is very fair and rational. Obviously no one who is reasonable wants to hurt, maim or kill a shark, but in the heat of the moment you need to protect yourself. Not sure what the mass-media was saying about the attack but I’m sure it was about the viciousness of bull sharks etc. It’s obvious that you didn’t have time to make a detailed plan of where to poke the shark to prevent it from biting you, and that your goal wasn’t to hurt the shark but rather protect yourself. As a spearo one should definitely respect the eco system you’re diving in and want it to remain healthy, and conserve it which includes protecting sharks, limiting how much you take, only taking certain fish species and sizes etc. You have my respect for being mindful of all of this, acting appropriately, and maintaining a reasonable outlook in the face of so much criticism and unwarranted hostility.
Good on you for posting this video. Your footage of this charge was very compelling. As an ex spearfisher, who has also speared 80kms offshore from 1770 and dealt with many reef sharks, it is so far from civilization and medical assistance. You were so bloody lucky to have seen him coming at you and taken the action you did. You're behaviour was absolutely justified, and these online trolls just throw these outrageous comments. Invest in a shark shield for a bit more peace of mind👍.

Thanks for sharing. It was interesting to see the movement of the shark in attack mode. It definately made up it's mind that it could eat you 5-6m out. It was educational to see the positioning of your shot and how it affected the shark. Glad you were unhurt. You also protected your friends that day. Well done.
Do you know, or have an idea exactly where the spear impaled? I mean, did it go through its brain or some vital organs? I'm not good at anatomy and certainly not fish anatomy. That was so scary to watch! Glad to hear you're okay! Can't blame you one bit for dropping your gear!
Coast guard reports of a shark defender who tried to apologize to the shark community by attempting to hug one of the sharks. Sadly only his little peepee was recovered. It showed signs of being chewed like a bubble gum while the victim was still alive.
Glad you're okay. There was no other option than the one you took in that situation. I would also commend you for sharing your video and story so that others can learn from it. Cheers brother.
Great you are publishing this comment- in fact, this video is widely discussed in our diving communities over here in Germany as well. It seems as if you had taken the best ad-hoc decision possible. Sad for the shark- but better him then you ;) Thanks for sharing your thoughts- well appreciated!
You are lucky you seen him when you did. A diver in my dive class was diving in deep water on the west coast of Oahu Hawaii. Diver was on the surface next to the boat, he just got in the water, no blood or fish was in the water. A 12 foot tiger shark came shooting up from the deep like a torpedo, he held his spear gun tight, shark drove him out of the water. Shark left and circle back and attack him 2 more times with his mouth wide open. Again drove hime back, I used to drive a lot, I used to surf and even night spear dive. Not any more. Washington women got eaten Dec 8 off maui. AL they found was her mask. I'm with you brother. Take care, God bless.
Spearfishing is the most selective and sustainable form of fishing and you didn't shoot the shark, it impaled itself on your speargun which you were using to defend yourself. Crazy that people would tear into you for that, you did nothing wrong at all. Perhaps stepping on the coral afterwards wasn't so cool, but understandable given how freaked out you must have been.
I think people are just shocked cause it was such a role reversal. Shark charges to bite potential prey and get it's head completely fucked up instead. It's pretty mind boggling.
Good interview mate thanks for sharing. Don't worry about those cowardly keyboard warriors that wouldn't have a clue. Millions of sharks are killed every year for no other reason than a tasty soup so why they need to be outraged about this situation is ridiculous.
I think you did the right thing, and the people judging you, would have done the same thing given the situation. Thank you for sharing, and ignore the haters - they are always going to be your biggest fans.
Good on you for the video and explaining yourself to these assholes, hope you don't take the spite to heart. I've been a vegan and animal activist for 10 years but if a predator is coming for my life I would not hesitate to kill it, though after I would tear a bit and properly bury it.

Just a bunch of fuckin inbred spastic cunts who haven't got a fuckin brain man 😂😂😂
the shark is innocent till proven guilty in a court of law
.....this is how mermaids are made ;)
People are stupid.
Shark committed suicide, you were just there to witness it.
the shark was asking for it. good job defending your self man glad your OK!
Bull sharks are so named for their habit of ramming their prey before biting it. They are exceptionally aggressive as is seen in this video and you are very lucky your spear went through its head. It may be wise to carry a power head in future. Good to see you were not hurt and kept your nerve very well!
Oh just because the shark was wearing a short skirt it was 'asking for it.' Welcome to 2018 sweaty, get with the times.
I mean, so was the guy...
Twat
So tell me moron .. the so called white man colonized the oceans 2 !??
I can’t believe that people actually threw insults at this guy!!! Glad he’s alive
It pisses me off you even have to explain yourself. For fucks sake you were only defending yourself!!! Your a brave man bro. Those haters are full of shit. They would of shit themselves if caught in same situation
Either way, I think it's good he explained himself. Not everyone is able to, or had been able to, go spearfishing, diving, or snorklinig, so they might no understand these type of situations. He explained it in a detailed way, which helps people understand that this isn't his fault or common.
No, not weapon. Opposable thumbs and a large brain. Makes and uses weapons since the dawn of man. He did good. Fish on fine sir.
Solo Rider fuck off, this is clearly self defence against something that was going to kill him. if you don't like it you can go feed the shark yourself ya dumbass
Solo Rider i love animals and of course it sucks that the shark died. the shark had every right to attack & the guy had every right to defend himself. it's this little thing called NATURE. and if you can't wrap your thick head around it, then I can't help you. peace.
Solo Rider
I just don't get your logic...it's common sense that sharks don't like the taste of human, but they will still take an investigating bite and that one bite can become life threatening for the human.
im pretty sure he is, but this was probably a good lesson on dont trust sharks
Kill a shark or loose a leg and maybe loose your life...? the choice is easy... Man you did good, the shark was going for the kill.
Kill two, tree, then if forth comes after you kill her to, no animal worth human life
Lose*. Loose is the opposite of tight.
No other objections to your comment.
Why did I know someone would be correcting him before I looked at the replies
Blackbear0507 well because you noticed the errors in the comment :3
What’s a loose leg? Or a loose life? I’ve never heard of those things being loose. 🤔
The thumbs down might be due to the fact that all the divers are standing on the reef.
Yeah that killing the reef
Yeah, I agree that is part of the problem.
I agree. At the end of the day im going home.
Yea that's wrong but I agree that the shark part was self defense
Absolutely. I agree with you. gave you a like.
I don't get it....why the hating?, obviously, he defend his own life
Jaguar Savage no he baited to instigate the attack. and your dumb enough to believe his bullshit.
what goes through your head with comments like that?
-- Kuz.. well.. the internet. People missing chromosomes get on here too.
1st They were standing on top of the coral, secound he should go back and get the gear back, more rubish in the ocean. He have no right to be there, it is there home not the other way around.
+GamerZila Inc Then, if your way of answering a question, you have to insult the one who did it, that would not make you stupid?
Such a bummer that there’s so many haters out there. I applaud you for taking the time to explain your position even in the face of such hateful feedback.
Thanks for an insight and an explanation on your video, it was very interesting.
bloody legend mate
you handled everything from the silly shark to the crazy internet trolls with style and grace !
100%
The shark now has his own spear gun & out there hunting humans 🤣
The shark got speared through the head, I think that shark was fish food lol.
Bull sharks have highest level of testosterone and are very aggressive. You can see this one was in an aggressive attack mode by its pectoral fins pointing down. That is a tell tale sign it is going to make an aggressive charge at you.
good job !!!!!
*me getting attacked by a bull shark but noticing the pectoral fins are pointed up*
“ah i’m good”
*gets eaten anyway*
Another tell tale sign that a shark is going to make an aggressive charge at you is that it is currently aggressively charging towards you
Sharks sometimes forget that humans are the greatest apex predator this world will ever know.
If we have our technology with us...if he did not have the spear gun he would have been minus few kg of meat.
Thought your pic was a hair on my screen
That's just messed up
airsoft0nerf can't claim defense when you provoke the initial attack. that's some Trump logic right there
why would someone bait a shark to attack them? Thats' just dumb shit logic right there
GamerZilla Inc how did he provoke the attack? Did you actually watch the video??
By spear fishing and being in that situation to harm marine life..... Try thinking critically before asking questions.
Roger McRabbit are you vegetarian?
Thanks for sharing.
@@darthbigred22 thank you right
Nice work mate.
Whoever has spearfished before knows you acted in total self defence. Thank God you managed to get away in one piece! Cheers mate!
Cheers mate, yer few of the experts said it was a male.
It is one, no fucking doubt about it, and thank you for uploading better and slower quality, this is just perfect!
Marko Vukadin they are called Remoras (sucker fish). Baby sharks do not hang out with their parents. Baby sharks are left to fend for themselves after birth.
Simon Uren Dude you did what you had to do. the shark was going to bite you.
@Marko Vuk Nema ih
Standing on the reef destroys it, that's a big no no.
That was my only issue too. Shoot the shark. Don’t stand on the reef.
where'd you get your marine biology degree?
@@llalaland clearly the same place as you. Beijing.
Have you ever gone snorkeling or diving before? First thing they tell you is do not stand on the reef.
@@llalaland I got my Marine Biology Degree both undergraduate and Masters from Texas A&M Corpus Christi
My first thought as well
Did u know it was a bull shark when you stopped and watched it? How did you even see it
Ps you seem like a great bloke, don't take internet trolls careless comments to heart
Also what was the conclusion from the shark experts on its behaviour
Yer i did think it was a bullshark when i watched the footage, Experts said that bullsharks can attack without warning or having any precursor to attacking (fish struggling, blood etc) due to high level of testosterone (was a male bullshark). Whether it was attacking for food or being territorial is still up for debate but i thought territorial as it didnt really size me up b4 it attacked. cheers
What equipment divers carry? Besides that speargun, do you have anything else to defend yourself?
@@georgelima6376 every diver got a diver knife. But not to kill. Its for freeing yourself if you get stuck in something
You handled the experience and the aftermath like a true warrior poet. Forget the toxin spillers and their commentary. You have a prism of wisdom and they are blank.
Fair call mate. You seem like a good guy. You only did what anyone would have done in a moment of imminent danger. Enjoy our beautiful waters, its inhabitants and stay safe...
I love your demeanour and reactions toward the hate you've received. Really good attitude. Hopefully some haters can hear your side of it and listen to your rational arguments. You did what you had to do. Love the vid.

It's self-defense, the shark just messed with the wrong dude that day. It's the circle of life.
Now go back to the same place and try to find the shark with the spear. Do that and you're guaranteed another viral video lol
Javanildo Channel sharks bodies completely get eaten and rot away in a very short about of time by the sea life even the bones are actually cartlidge like you nose so they go too but the spear could be there depending where it landed. Storms and ocean currents could send it pretty far from its original place and might land on sand and sink under it
Aye and the fuckin spear back 😂😂😂
The day Shark realised it's not the only apex predator around.
Good on you Danny. We're right behind you and glad you're still around
I think the bigger lesson would be not to listen to those comments mate, everyone’s a hero on the keyboard but when it comes down to it every single one of them would pull the trigger
That bull could have fucked you up at that speed.
Just saw this linked on Reddit. INSANE footage!!
Wow, we just watched your video in our Marine Biology Class in Calif- we were more than amazed!
great to see you are still diving...
Cheers.
Obviously defense but damn man why are you and your friends standing on the coral? You're killing it.
A real Aussie, worrying about trolls and being all nice 😂
You did the right thing, don't think a second thought about it. Like they say hindsight is always 20/20, so you'd do a few things differently now, but it could have been much worse. And I'm really glad to hear you are back in the water 👍
I can't believe you stood on that coral, it kills it!
You have my respect for being mindful of all of this, acting appropriately, and maintaining a reasonable outlook in the face of so much criticism and unwarranted hostility.
dude by killing that shark you saved you life. who would rather a guy die then a shark.
The ONLY thing i see wrong here is standing all over the reef my friend.
if you have nothing below you the shark has every angle to attach from standing on the coral gives you the advantage so you dont die
That shark got the surprise of a lifetime!
The dude is lucky and let the nature lovers write their stupid nonsense
Good on you for posting this video. Your footage of this charge was very compelling. As an ex spearfisher, who has also speared 80kms offshore from 1770 and dealt with many reef sharks, it is so far from civilization and medical assistance. You were so bloody lucky to have seen him coming at you and taken the action you did. You're behaviour was absolutely justified, and these online trolls just throw these outrageous comments. Invest in a shark shield for a bit more peace of mind👍.
Well said. It's unfortunate that the shark had to die, but either way, it came down to kill or be killed. I'm glad you are alive
Literally anything: *exists*
Bull Sharks: “so you have chosen death.”
Good on ya mate, good explanation... I'd like to see all these keyboard experts have a whinge now.... there's always going to be fuckwits mate, no matter what we do! Just keep at it 👍🏼

@@aeroxdima7777 That was a very strange response to that comment!
Mate don't pay any attention to the grubs that have no idea what they're talking about. They probably swam in the ocean once and now think they know everything about spearfishing. Glad you're OK. Good video.
Amazing video. I’ve shared it with many of my friends. We are animals and we have every right to hunt animals just so long as it’s legal and responsible. Unbelievable footage thanks for the video. All the best 👍
Rot in hell
Quick thinking . That was fast I don’t think people realize how serious that was. Was in 100% attack mode glad you defended yourself!!! Mad respect
Anyone in your case will do the same thing. It's nothing wrong between the choice of your own life and a shark's. thank you for sharing
You're out there harvesting fish the most natural way possible mate.
Most haters out there probably eat farmed meat by the truck load.
Keep doing you.
Shark: wtf report hooman hax
Great you are publishing this comment- in fact, this video is widely discussed in our diving communities over here in Germany as well. It seems as if you had taken the best ad-hoc decision possible. Sad for the shark- but better him then you ;) Thanks for sharing your thoughts- well appreciated!
If this happened to me I would've shit my pants 😂
Joey Boricúa same but I probably wouldn't have had time I would of been in his tummy by then smh
Dude, I would've shit your pants. Terrifying stuff.
No interview with the Shark? I like to hear both sides.
great reaction mate. I'm glad you didn't quit.
That shark is related to my wife. That demon can attack me just like that
I'm actually glad you survived, Sharks apparently 'attack humans rarely', I think it's bullsh*t and I'm glad you're safe.
