On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Those Meteors are monsters. Man, how can those things be so deadly? Not only they hit pro very far but also can make sharp turns and go after their targets.
If only they were compatible with the f22. That’d be even more nightmare inducing

@@GrowlingSidewinder I suppose because we don’t see you fly it often, but I can understand why, in the vs. videos most planes are underdogs against it, so it makes sense that you’d fly the other plane instead. It’s cool to hear you like it too!

These Rafales man, they are a sweet looking jet. Loven these Delta wing jets with canards and love the meteor dude.what an amazing missile, that thing came so close to smoking you it would have made a sick video even better. Yup, they have a throttle-able solid rocket ramjet. Although its exact performance is classified, it is said that it cruises towards its target at Mach 3.5ish and when closer throttle’s up to dash to the target at near hypersonic speeds.

Could you do a dogfight between the I-16 and the Su-57? After all, we've seen the P-51 versus F-22, so I think seeing the Russian version of that fight would be neat. Great video though, love the Felon content.

How do you place your ground units/static objects so well? I always have to "fly mission" just to check placement and it kills so much time
I wonder if they will ever put a camera on the back end of the plane so pilots could check their 6 or at least have a powerful sensor for that role

The SU-57 has rear facing radar as well as IR sensors looking back and towards the sides.
and the rafale has SPECTRA and automatic systems for self defense against radars (and therefore also missiles)
Hence why realistically, you can't lock on a rafale at 250km @@jagerdergroe8604
The faster a missile moves the less maneuverable it can be. Without larger control surfaces, there is only so much it can do at super fast speeds. You are correct that these things are tailored more for tankers and AWACS which can't turn as fast as a fighter.

The production model of the felon has upgraded avionics, radars and engines from the prototype models to my understanding. Be cool to see one of those accurately modeled in DCS.

@@meteor541 lovely watching people talk with such confidence about the capabilities of one of the most classified aircraft in the world lol. All the stealth arguments generate from pics of prototypes or a Sukhoi prototype patent from a decade ago
@@meteor541 The indians pulled out because supposedly they didn't like the sensor and avionics suite the su-57 possessed at the time. Ignoring the quite relevant fact that the su-57M will incroporate improved sensors and radars, it's weird that you'd consider the felon a 4.5+ fighter for that reason, when the F-22, no doubt considered by you as an excellent 5th gen, is notoriously hard to upgrade and outfitted with poor outdated avionics, probably outclassed by the felon. So what's the 5th gen bar here?
India pulled out of the project because they had their own 5th gen jet projects. 2 of them named AMCA and TEDBF. I don't know but those plane are in development phase. Its very much classified projects as their media house doesn't even cover that much news about those projects@@meteor541

Hey GS have you seen what the new a plane called the X-44 MANTA? Pretty wild idea and it seems to be a concept for design with the NGAD program, looks pretty wild! (MANTA is full caps because its an acronym)
For a 5th gen stealth fighter with supersonic missiles like the SU-57 you had to sweat a little to win this battle 😀

This is one I asked to see, nice! Did the cheek mounted radars on the Su-57 come into play, which apparently let it start turning away and defending from an enemy while still guiding a missile with the cheek radars?

I think there was a test were a Meteor was able to shot down a plane after doing at 180° turn (the Rafale launche a Meteor against a plane that was behind him basically)
