It HURTS!!! Pulling sustained Gs is the most fatiguing thing you will ever do. The only thing I can think of that's ever come close is pushing a car up a road with a shallow incline. It's more fatiguing than doing a double heavy leg workout. I've done squats until I had to crawl up the stairs to get out to the gym, and even that's not as tiring. Viper pilots are gym rats to a man!
There is a reason x29 and su47 didn't go anywhere. The wingtips had a tendency to flex up if the aircraft got to fast. Also try to Imagine the forces that would put on the wings.
Haven't finished watching yet, but those disembodied eyeballs in the rearview mirror at 5:55 got me, man... GS really keepin' an eye out for those Ruskies!
Yup, it looked pretty similar. Interestingly, there were two proposals from which plane to base the X-29 on. One was the F-5 and the other was the F-16. They chose the F-5, but it would've been cool to see what a forward-swept F-16 would've looked like. Still hate that they never developed the delta wing F-16XL.
It used a bunch of off-the-shelf parts to keep costs down. F-5 forward fuselage, F-16 gear, F-18 engine if memory serves. Same way the XFV-12 used a Skyhawk cockpit
If you're like me you just hit the thumbs up before you start GS videos because you KNOW you're gonna do it every time anyway! In fact, I think I'll go back to his first ones and start all over again.
Surprised the Waypoint 1 antenna didn't fall but it has a giant kink in it. That AWACS needs to be renamed Timex as it took a beating and still had it home on one engine. 😆 You made the Super Hornet look good again.
@@Pikilloification because it was an experimental fighter during the Soviet Union lol. It exists at one of the airbases alongside other experimental fighters.
The Delta is a beast. Forty-one miles at 300-some-odd knots and still smoked em. Having an outstanding missile is even more important on an aircraft like the Hornet, which is not necessarily going to be able to get the speed to give the missile the greatest launch parameters. Below half Mach and still went over forty miles with intent. Thanks 120-Delta!
Great to see the Golden Eagle, such an awesome looking jet. G/S's eyes - always feared he was really advanced A I - no body, just robotic optics. Thats why he kills so many opponents ! 🤣👁👁🤣
When I saw those eyeballs 👀 floating there I was like “wtf?!” 😂. I was trying to figure out what was going on? I was thinking “does he have a cartoon character painted on his helmet, like Felix the cat or something?” 😂
Man, loven these F/A-18 Super Hornet vids man. I have been waiting so long for you to do multiple videos on them. Those SU-47's look pretty cool man, but when you shoot one down, they hit the ground straight down like intercontinental ballistic missile 😅 awesome video man would still love to see more of the Super Hornet.
it's cool to see the paint scheme from VAQ-142 i remember those guys from when i was stationed at FRC northwest, my head will probably explode if you end up with the paint scheme from VAQ-141 since that was the command i went after FRC
@Santi-792 They are not fragile, both Soviet Union and US came to roughly same conclusions I believe, the marginal improvement of some characteristics were not worth all the additional headache. Conventional designs are just more efficient overall.
WHAT...the DUECE...was up with those floating eyeballs??? lol I was cracking up. Ok great vid. Can't believe that AWACS made it home. Bet that crew had some good stories to share at the pub for years to come.
I spent 12 years in Army Aviation and heard the term when all else fails use your trusty MK 1 eyeballs all the time but this is taking it to a whole new level.........
In my perspective u r that type of person who can win any battle with any jet , as they said it's about pilot not about plane ❤❤❤❤ A highly trained and talented fighter is always better than less trained fighter with better equipment 😂😂😂😂
The Su-47 is a cool looking aircraft, i can only imagine a timeline where the Soviet Union wasn't struggling and actually built it pass the experimental stage.
After watching the Superbowl and being very disappointed, I am happy to see one of your videos, especially since it has one of my favorite rare aircraft!!
Super Hornets are the only fighter jets I see regularly, so not having much else to compare them with, I can state that I hope there are no other fighters louder. Absolutely sky shredding sound.

My dude, you need a better GPU.
A-4 and F-22 vs Su-25 and Su-57
Su -47 against everything, especially close range dogfights!
If the Su-47s knew that they're fighting a jet piloted by a pair of levitating eyeballs they probably would've just ran the hell out of there.
I wanna see SU 47 in dogfigts
6:35 those eyeballs are the stuff of nightmares lol
bro same i was so confused haha pilot was on some good stuff
They look like hermit crabs👀
lmao i was just thinking that
It was a great "warning" for a surprise missile hit too! Those surprise spooky ones!
Wasn't un-nerving at all😅😅
Us: How do you know if you've pulled too many Gs?
GSW: There will be signs (eyeballs pop out of head)...

I've always heard that the greatest asset on a battlefield is the good ol' Mk 1 eyeball. It's good to see that finally being incorporated into DCS.
MVP of this mission is the Russian AWACS pilot!
World’s new most dangerous job
There is a reason x29 and su47 didn't go anywhere. The wingtips had a tendency to flex up if the aircraft got to fast. Also try to Imagine the forces that would put on the wings.
Yeah, life span of those wing types could be very limited with the twisting forces put on them, especially at high speeds and high g turns.
Yeah, you can get better AOA performance with leading edge extensions like the F/A18 hornet without sacrificing turning and super sonic performance.
I think the Berkut was limited to like 6.5 g’s because of that.
Yep...twisting wing vortices would have ripped the wings off at high-g loads.
Not the sort of thing you'd want for high-speed combat aircraft.
@@Ghoster311It was 10+ actually, and the twist-up tendency problem were fixed by utilizing carbon fiber composite material.
Haven't finished watching yet, but those disembodied eyeballs in the rearview mirror at 5:55 got me, man... GS really keepin' an eye out for those Ruskies!

@@PhantomP63 LOL!
Grumman produced a proof of concept forward swept wing fighter in the 80’s. I think it was the X-29
Yup. It was based on the F-5E and was the first forward swept wing aircraft to go supersonic.
It wasn't meant to be a fighter. It was just a tech demonstrator.
Yup, it looked pretty similar. Interestingly, there were two proposals from which plane to base the X-29 on. One was the F-5 and the other was the F-16. @@PhantomP63 the engine was also from the F-16.
This is literally the first Berkut video I’ve ever seen from DCS
The A-50 was like: NUH UH after taking an AIM-120D lmao
Holy hell.. I’m so happy to see the 47 in dcs, literally my childhood aircraft
Glad the Su-47 is getting some love on the channel.
Dude GS with his F18 ate those SU-47's up. But the Russian AWACS getting back home was not something expected after all.
If you're like me you just hit the thumbs up before you start GS videos because you KNOW you're gonna do it every time anyway! In fact, I think I'll go back to his first ones and start all over again.
You’re the real MVP

I had forgotten the Berkut even existed.
It's just a meme, like the su57
The Russians probably are hoping you do
Ditto
@@Pikilloification because it was an experimental fighter during the Soviet Union lol. It exists at one of the airbases alongside other experimental fighters.
ROUS’s - Russians Of Unusual Size - …
…I don’t they exist.
Whoa didn’t expect to see this notification flash across my screen. Holy shit.
0:51 "It's those damn bats!"
Sorry, I couldn't help it😂😂
SU-47 is cool indeed
used to have a die cast toy su-47 as a kid ! man you unlocked a memory i forgot i had !!!
I think your oxygen generator was letting other gases by 😂😂😂floating eyeballs 😂
I believe those are the mark 1 eyeballs for the brain mounted sight.
I find the Awac making it home is wholesome idk why. Bro made it.
I know I love the legacy hornet more, but I can't get over how imposing the silhouette on the Rhino is!
Superbowl Sunday AND a GS video featuring the Hornet and Berkut! That's a good day. GO NINERS!
Superbowl - Is that some type of American sport?
Always thought the forward-swept-wing aircraft were beautiful. I would really have liked to see someone actually put one into production.
5:54 spooky rear view mirror 😣 edit: lmao you addressed it moments later oops
Man I didn't even notice the eyes until you pointed it out and then I saw it every time it was visible lol
It's really cool to see the F/A 18, I would also like to see it more often A/G like the A10
I really want to see more AIM-260s in action.
Looks like a rather breezy-Swiss-cheesy flight home for the AWACS crew!
FINALLY! I've been waiting to see the SU-47!
Woah Nice To see the su47. Kind of bummer it didn’t get full in service production, the design is so mad. 🔥🔥

That Russian AWACS managed to make it home after being slapped by an AMRAAM? Good flying by that pilot
That is the luckiest A-50 I have ever seen.
Love to see some dogfights with the berkuter haha.
Eye ballz were hilarious.
It's my birthday so thanks for dropping a vid GS. You rock!! ❤❤🔥🔥
Please never stop making videos. Watching them is my morning routine now xD
"This time on GS we have a virtual guest pilot, Disembodied Eyeballs!"
Made me think of Andross from StarFox lol.
I enjoy the Eyeballs 👀, more accurate to how you feel when you’re constantly looking everywhere and watching for your own, or your enemies, mistakes.
When I saw those eyeballs 👀 floating there I was like “wtf?!” 😂. I was trying to figure out what was going on? I was thinking “does he have a cartoon character painted on his helmet, like Felix the cat or something?” 😂
Really nice to see a video where you just absolutely smoke the competition after some hard-fought wins and losses. You've still got it :)
PLEASE START GIVING YOUR MULTIROLE MISSIONS OUT TO US

FINALLY !! I was waiting for the su 47 a long time
Woooo Finally!! I was wondering why the 47 was your symbol for tact-view review if you never used it. Consider yourself redeemed lol.
GS uses all the produced prototypes of the Berkut in this video, although only one of them was made to fly
it's cool to see the paint scheme from VAQ-142 i remember those guys from when i was stationed at FRC northwest, my head will probably explode if you end up with the paint scheme from VAQ-141 since that was the command i went after FRC
Love the Super Hornet content! Keep it up 👍🏻
The 47's looked like lawn darts going in.
Back in the 8O's we called it *_firefox_*
Id love to see more SU-47s in future videos, such a cool aircraft
The Super Hornet is so versatile and capable that it can even turn the pilot invisible! Except the eyeballs.
The su 30, 37, and 35 are my favorite aircraft designs aesthetically. Gorgeous planes
A Hornet video deserves two comments from each person. That is all.
SU47 is a truly gorgeous aircraft. Do a vid where you fly this beast. It would be very interesting.
That warning tone when the missile goes pit bull makes me want to answer my old landline phone. Lol
Your video editing/production “kung fu” is amazing. Love it!
Man i love the Su-47, such a unique aircraft
104 sorties I have on my Ac7.
Super hornet is a great aircraft. Good range, pay load , capabilities, insand ASEA radar, ecm, aim 120d
Another great video 😮 Cool to see those Su 47 out & about!
"It's not the plane it's the pilot."
The eyeballs were great lol! Loved this as always!
With those eyeballs the way they were, when they straddled the bottom of the mirror, you should have been asking for a cookie at that point...LOL
Love seeing the FA-18 doing work 🫡
Loving the Super Hornet content. Keep it up! Great work as usual GS.
Growling is nothing but a set of eyes, confirmed
The US experimented with that design in the 80s (X-29)
@Santi-792 They are not fragile, both Soviet Union and US came to roughly same conclusions I believe, the marginal improvement of some characteristics were not worth all the additional headache. Conventional designs are just more efficient overall.
Check Junkers Ju 287.
Please more F-18 content! Beautifully executed

The SU47 is one of my favorite aircraft of all time.
The bf4 theme fits your videos perfectly 👌
I spent 12 years in Army Aviation and heard the term when all else fails use your trusty MK 1 eyeballs all the time but this is taking it to a whole new level.........
5:56 the pair of eyes in the mirror 😭😭😭😭
I-16 vs NGAD it would be funny
GS is a set of floating eyeballs confirmed!!!
Rumor has it that the pilot retired but his invisible engines are still on fire to this day.
any chance we could get some Harrier content? Hornet and Harrier were definitely my childhood favorite planes.
The eyeballs in the rearview mirror at 6:00 😂😂
Damn that weather looks absolutely beautiful

The Su-47 is a cool looking aircraft, i can only imagine a timeline where the Soviet Union wasn't struggling and actually built it pass the experimental stage.
Omg
You finally did the suggestion!
5:56 scared eyes
Really enjoying these Attack and Fight missions.
"The last gunfighter "F8 crusader please ...I won't be ignored...
I have never laughed as hard at a GS Video until I saw the menacing eyeballs staring back at me in the rear view mirror. lol
Beautiful Su-47, but also beautiful F/A-18F! thanks for modders!
I love how there's no pilot in the cockpit it's just a pair of eyes😂
After watching the Superbowl and being very disappointed, I am happy to see one of your videos, especially since it has one of my favorite rare aircraft!!
6:18 someone flying next to you looks over to see into the cockpit and they just see a pair of eyeballs floating in the cockpit.
I like how at 6:09 in your rear vew mirrors you are just eyes lol
wow, the awacs managed to make it home, thought he would fall out of the sky for sure, gg
lmao I saw the eyeballs and had to rewind to make sure mine were correct 👀
