Might not beat an f35 in jamming power but if it can jam its way in close enough, there's no dodging those Meteors. Maybe its own internal jammer is good enough, we know it definitely beats the Typhoon for that.
The jamming power of the internal system is better than F35. As I have understood it, F35 is to be upgraded to the same system that Gripen E uses. Speak volumes of the jamming power of the internal system😃

Love those Saabs. Small, lightweight, gorgeous design, smart electronics...like a 'sportcar fighter plane'. AFAIK it's pretty self-sufficient in the field as technician tools can be powered by it's own onboard systems.
And also such an effective and (relatively) affordable 4.5th-gen fighter. I don't understand why more European nations didn't choose the Gripen as their mainstay fighter. I think it would have been an ideal choice, seeing how in addition to the aforementioned advantages it's also made by a friendly European nation.
Sweden paused Gripen E to have SAAB put ASEA radar in the C/D fleet first, not sure if there’s room for the swashplate too. They also throw in more EW and improve engine thrust.
At the recent Singapore Air Show I had the opportunity to try out the Gripen E simulator at the Saab booth. The cockpit interface is completely touchscreen and the software is really smart. User-friendly with good indicators to help land and navigate.
Yup, was thinking the same - they may surround the Baltic Sea, but definitely not Baltic States. We'll allow our favourite flying American cousin the occasional slip-up on European geography. ;-)
Many interesting things are going up in this mission: there is still a possible situation in the modern warfare when a tail gunner still have a reason of existence; the other: the Meteor hasn't stolen and reverse engineered yet by other countries (it was possibly, but we doesn't know it yet as open as eg the Chinese remade Flankers or the Phoenix).
My favourite DCS channel, you keep the chat to minimum and the cinematics are on point, as a sweede its hard to not be partial when it comes to the JAS 39.... but i really think i would have loved the fighter even if i wasn´t. Long time fan.... long time, always fun and interesting content, bless you and yours
Much improved over the previous interception missions. Not so much because you won necessarily, but because you got into striking range before the enemy did. Granted, the meteors made it look easy, but this is what they were made for. Still, it would've been proper to hit the cruise missiles that did get lauched, just to further lower the enemy's chances of killing any friendly stuff.
Perfectly imperfect it is! Regardless the loss of a wingman. However, I think it should be the most challenging boss fight to do a MiG-29 or Su-27 vs Su-57 Felon, I suggest for the 103rd time GS. You made a great simmer!
Not exactly in missile tech but most definitely in missile range. The aim 120d seeker is still really good, it's still in the top 3 of not the best, it just has like half the range and pursuit capability of everything else. But yes, America does really need that new missile. Seeker kinda doesn't matter if you die before getting in range.

Im from sweden and my teachers dad lead the project for the radar inside the gripen, that shows why my teacher is kinda smart cuz of his dad. It was one of the biggest projects for the gripen and it was very hard he said, I appreciate you're videos very much.
You should do a Tomcat BVR mission with a couple Phoenix's and AIM120 D's so the Phoenix can shove the bandit's face down and if he's still alive the AMRAAM will take car of it.

I was wondering why you only shot 2 Meteors at the bombers. Did you only see 2 on radar? Love how the TU-95 has guns on the back, I still reckon bombers should have them and love the Gripen man, I wasn't ever a fan of delta wing aircraft but I now think they are some of the best looking and best fighters in the world. Loved the video champ and can't wait for the next one.
Meteor missiles is the shit! I like this, it’s emulating how Sweden would protect the Baltics. Now do Finland one with the f-18’s and one with coming F-35’s.😊
He tends to beat everything with the F-14 but I think it's in large part due to him being a great DCS pilot. The F-14 does have some advantages over the F-15 such as a more powerful radar and better turning ability at lower speeds.
@@Miratesus The F-14A radar definitely out-ranged the F-15A, but I've heard the F-15 was more maneuverable in close range fights. But If we're comparing the most recent versions available, I think the F-15 has the most upgraded radar between them at this point.

For basic maintenance and resupply in the field you only need one highly trained specalist and 5-10 conscripts.

The gripen E (not sure about the others) has cheek mounted radar to help guide missiles in whilst in the notch.

The Chinese reverse engineered the Python missile to make the PL-15. It also is in many ways similar to the meteor.

I don't know what it is about those delta wing fighters but they are just some of the most gorgeous aircraft ever flown in my opinion.
