How do you get around on your broken foot?
@@wadehamlin I’ll be on crutches for a while yet. I’m hoping to be able to start physio and protected weight bearing on it this week if my surgeon says the x-rays look good. It’s pretty rough having it down for much more than 30 minutes right now though.
@@gravytrainoutdoors Does it get hard when you are crutching around for a long time?
@@wadehamlin not too bad. Had 6 months of experience on them after a major knee injury. I have one of those knee scooters but I can use it because my knee has a partially torn acl and I can’t kneel on it. I didn’t really it was that bad until tried. Hopefully I’ll be off the crutches completely in several weeks. I don’t really have good idea what to expect. The surgeon is very careful not to give me any false impressions about how I’ll progress. Yeah the swelling is a huge problem right now. I’m going to have a compression sock prescribed after I see the surgeon this week.
@@wadehamlin I am only able to be up on it for 15 minutes or so at a time. The blood pump gets really bad if I go any longer than that
@@gravytrainoutdoors Can you show how you crutch around?
