For edc the simpler the design, the better. So, at least a full flat grind and something like Manly Patriot as a design, is what I'd call "best" for edc. Those gimmicky designs, is nothing more than marketing and how to sell more and make more money...PS Kydex sheath, is the way to go for edc, leather is only good for collectors knives, not for users.
I agree! I have a kydex sheath for my Gunny hunter and it is definitely the most practical. I have a hard time liking the design of the JX6 over the most conventional designs. The Manly Patriot design is exactly what I would gravitate towards.
@@gravytrainoutdoors I'm glad you agree, in the end of the day, that's facts, not just personal opinion. Same goes for the best outdoors sheath I've tried, is the stupid plastic sheaths from Moras! They just need an elastic hair band, to secure the knife and you're golden! Especially when I go for mushrooms or wild edible plants, no other sheath, works better. (Scandi sucks for these jobs though, too fragile edge for collecting from the ground because small stones and dirt, damage the blade too much, no matter how much careful you are..) Still great user knives though, and I love, the fact that the blade has enough room inside the sheath, because I don't have to clean my knife every 2 minutes, but in the end of the work!!
@@greekveteran2715 yup simple is key! I buy a lot of knives that I know are not that practical in the end but at least they are holders of value I feel. It’s hard to beat a mora for many reasons.
