- In the previous video at • How To Create a Minima... , we saw how to create a bootable WinPE Media with a USB Flash Drive with the minimal set of utilities required for most common maintenance tasks. In this video, I'll show you, how to add another common utility into this media. This common utility is knows as bootrec.exe and is useful for fixing boot problems on systems where Windows is installed in legacy mode

Bro u r unique and genuine contents you made superb.... Bro my operating system not listed in system recovery options and and bootrec c:\boot\bcd
error c:\boot\bcd file not found
I'm using windows 7 professional ?
👍 In my case, I have a (dead) non-bootable Acer laptop with Windows 10 + 16GB Intel Optane Memory that now has directories and files missing. Caused during power interruption (failure) Windows System Restore.
Windows' auto-repair removed the data when performing auto-chkdsk, I believe.
So I'm stuck trying to find ways to search and recover lost data without writing anything to laptop's HHD. Ugh! Any ideas? TiA. 😃
When I run: dism /mount-image /imagefile:\WinPE_amd64\sources\boot.wim /mountdir:\WinPE_amd64\mount /index:1, I get the following.
Error: 0xc142011f
The volume of the specified mount path does not support reparse points. Please mount to a volume that supports reparse points.
Did you check if the mount folder actually exists?
bootrec print nothing when executed😦
