How To Create a Minimal Bootable WinPE Media (on USB Flash Drive)

Hey guys, in this video, I'm showing how to create a bootable WinPE media on a USB Flash Drive. This was done on a Windows 10 computer, but should also work on Windows 8/8.1

I really like that your last command was let's check if boot rec is available. That was a bit of clever self promotion. Also was really easy to do myself, but if I may offer some advice for those who are failing and don't understand why. If you have a USB drive higher than 32 GB the Deployment and Imaging tool will not run successfully. It gives you an error. It also fails if you have it flashed with NTFS on it. Not sure why, but I had to manually format it to Fat32.

Help Required. I created the WinPE thumbdrive and i booted from it one time. After I exit my pc from WinPE, now it goes to troubleshoot mode all the time even after booting to my normal windows 10 also thumbdrive removed from laptop. Any suggestions. NB: I still have the winpe folder in my C drive.

for anyone having lets say a 32gb flash drive , u will get an error when initiated makewinpemedia because 2048 size is too large , try shrink it down to 512 or 1024
