- How to trouble-shoot or setup a Plantronics Wireless headset (CS510, CS530, CS520, CS540) when you don't get a dial tone from the phone it's attached to.

I have no sound on the headset
the unit is fully charged
when pressed, the phone lifts and the outside line is connected.
I cannot hear anyone and no one can hear me.

This did the trick, thanks! I have the CS540 and recently switch from a Grandstream phone with mechanical lifter to an OBIHAI phone with electronic hook switch. After ordering the necessary OBIEHS and Plantronics APS-11 adapter cables for the phone and headset base respectively, the electronic hook switch was working but I wasn't getting a dial tone or call audio in my headset. Switching the configuration on the headset base to A worked. It was previously set to D with my old phone.
I've literally done all this and when I pick up the headset it doesn't activate the lifter or make a dial tone. It used to until i accidentally unplugged the power cable and now it's not working
I have had 3 of these and neither worked. Even after calling tech support for each purchase it has been a failure. When I try to use it now I hear an echo and faint thumping noice, but no dial tone. I'm a smart girl and can usually figure these things out and repeated all the steps in this video and still nothing.

Yea no I tried all the steps and this did not work. Configuration is set to A. I even tried D which is supposed to help for certain phones and I got nothing. I tried the button on the charging port itself and still nothing.
Still doesn’t work and slow down man we are trying to troubleshoot and follow along way too fast
That was a really bad video. You went so fast and didn't even reference the second step in re-subscribing the base and headset.
