My strop is 4 bits of an old leather flatbelt I found in the trash, epoxied to to a board, with black, red, and white polishing compound applied to 3 of them, with the 3rd raw. All with the rough side of the leather up. I can get an axe to shaving sharp with that thing.
Usually just stone sharpen knife but got two stone set both Arkansas stone and it works good enough do most jobs could got leather but for my razor so.
,,very good video my friend,,, now i will wet strop @ times,, leather & carving tools,, a sharpening steel for butcher knifes,, but that is just me,,, now the grit on the strop is what i`m looking for,, wet & grit is what pulls the wire edge off the metal,,it becomes a polished edge,, interesting subject thanks for sharing,,

I trop my disposable razor on my jeans. I get up to 10 more shaves from it.
Im not big on stropping it seems to dull my blades rather than sharpen buy hay thats just me....

Ok guess do i allow tum my know fe backward grt any access oil off on my jeans. Dont do it high number though its habit.
