Thanks for the over view... I was in Okinawa from 92 - 97. I had an FC that was tuned by Amemiya. Nothing as extravagant as this though (325hp). It had 3mm seals, aftermarket intercooler. HKS's AIC, suspension, single plate metallic clutch, exhaust, racing bucket, gauges etc. That car was so fun to drive. It held it's own. I remember getting laughed at a couple times when the Okinawan dudes pulled up next me to race and realized it was an American driving. The joke was on them since they spent most of the time in my rear view mirror. :-) I really miss that car...

I would have loved to live there during that time!! Seeing all those amazing 90s cars, brand new and out cruising!!!! Only benefit for me was they are a bit cheaper in 2017...... Well..... some of them hahahaha

When you say it's a "1.3 liter" you have to remember that these cars have the advantage of using their full displacement every revolution. Piston engines can only use half their displacement because they are four strokes. Effectively a 13b is a 2.6L if you were to do a fair comparison.

This car is super crazy!! I have owned 3 RX cars starting back in 1991 with a convertible version 2. After that I purchased a 93 RX version 3 twin turbo. That car was the most amazing stock car ever. After that one I purchaes a 2006 RX8 and still enjoy driving it every day. I hope Mazda reverses their decision to not release the RX9.

I love how the car still seems pretty lively when you blipped the revs on the guage view. Going from twin to single certainly didn't diminish it's capabilities at low revs.
Punit S that is correct, compared to the stock twins which I have driven before, it still feels just as responsive!

I was on Kadena when he pulled in with the car after just dialling in his turbo and he jumped alot of his coolant on the pavement due to a clamp slippin. Hopefully it got torqued to max ft.lbs.

Y-plate. Could import to US on a one year exemption and since its a FD3S RX-7 that was already imported to the US in the 1990s. Depending on the state, could register in the US and never get noticed.

Does this car have front and rear fenders flared? Usually the RE rx7s are but I don't see the rivits.
No it doesn't. I'm adding the widebody pieces later this year. I'm having some traction issues when I launch so I need more meat.
Okay thank you for the info. I'm Building my own rx7 but its not gonna have as much power and I really liked how this looked but I'm hesitant to start cutting into the body.

Hey man I wanted to ask you a quick question about the quantum coilovers on the car. I'm building a track car but its more street oriented. I can get either the RE Quantums, the DG 5 or they have just a regular street damper kit. I was wondering if you could give any advice on that. I have heard the RE Quantums are very stiff.
ISubZeroKelvinII i have the DG-5 coilover sprung at 16k/18k. The dampening adjustments are very responsive and can be used on the street. I really enjoy them. I run my dampening a little under half on the street and dial it up for track events.

He built a good majority of the car yes, I believe he only bought it with the Aero modifications. And It was a error on my part, its just called an Air Separator Tank or AST which helps to keep air out of the cooling system so no air pockets form. The RX7 comes with a plastic one stock and are prone to leaking and cracking over time. Hope this answered your question!
Shit, this is pretty much the same as my wifes car, body kit turbo etc lol guy really excited, for what is tame in the way fds can get.
I love seeing FDs here in Japan. So many different ideas and awesome mods that can be done!

I think the car was bought like that, I don't think he built it.
The owner of this car should use RE-Amemiya Level Man V-mount instead of Knightsports V-mount.
Also, should get RE-Amemiya titanium dolphin tail, instead of that Trust/GReddy Ti catback, if he is building a full RE-A car.
RE-A 3 points front strut bar, to replace that Mazdaspeed front strut bar. The signature RE-A fender mirrors, instead of stock side mirrors. The list can go on . This car is far from full RE-A build, in my opinion.
Well its definitely an amazing car and its built how the owner wanted it and that's what really matters, If you want to take my saying that its a fully built RE-Amemiya so literal than that's all good and I don't blame you, I am not an expert on every JDM car ever built let alone every version of every car ever built. The car is being completely rebuilt as we speak and is torn down into pieces so what's coming next will be great. Thank you though for your opinion

Beautiful car but it needs more HP before it's considered fully built!!!! I wish I lived in Japan so you could check out my FD. Big difference between 400 and 931hp 😳😳😳, but the car is pretty tho...check out my channel, I will be putting up videos of my FD after I'm done my RB30 swap. And no disrespect, I would just wanna see more if your gonna drop the phrase "full built".
I would consider it fully built, power isnt the only thing my friend, for the track 400hp are perfect
Big hp, big torque is not a track race thing. Its a drag racing. This car setup is for track & touge. Having 400 hp on track is great
If you wanna live in japan n having a 900hp+ car. Well said its useless. Road in japan is not the same as in US. It mostly consist of narrow road with lots of corners while in US is wide, big n straight. Your big HP will be trouble when facing the corners & crash.
Thats why tuning in japan is not about having big power.

He tracked the car o that explain most of the light damage but this car has been through a full transformation since this video. Now i believe it is widebody and closer to 800whp

400hp is not much. I had 350hp in a fb rx7 (980kg) nearly 20 years ago.! Go wind some boost up and get a bbetter ecu. Plus 2000 secondary injectors and see what you get 👍

As a 1992 FD RX-7 R1 owner since June 1992, the engine really is a 2.6 liter, not 1.3 liter engine when compared to 4 stroke engines. I am tired of idiotic misrepresentations.
chuck westbrook displacement refers to physical size, not efficiency! It may be as efficient (or even more efficient) than a 2.6l, but it physically is only 1.3l. Super cool engines non the less!

All RX7's are RHD except the us made. AUSTRALIA all RX7's and had the last models made even after America we even have a model made for Australia the Bathurst type R and Australia has the most rotaries in the world followed by Japan then New Zealand and Australia has the fastest rotaries in the world with Porto Rico second but they only have one we have the fastest of every model made and Australia and NZ are the only countries that make the 26b's and we made the worlds only 6 rotor. Search 6 rotor Australia if you want to hear the best engine in the world!
