actually it's worse than that... citroen crushed the rotary equipped ones and the customers bought a better and cheaper version instead. to see one with the original french plates in japa is super crazy this car must have an insane story

However before that came a car called the M35 that was indeed "sold" as prototypes to priviledged citroen clients. they were absolutelt terrible in every aspect so citroen cancelled the whole rotary program crushed almost every M35 and GS and moved on... today there's a handfull of m35 still in existence deep in frznch countrides and I'm not sure if any of these run at all sadly...and for the record citroen believed in the rotary so much they even built a prototype rotary powered helicopter (I swear I'm not making this up lmao)

It's from the japanese movie called Godspeed You! Black Emperor (yes some hipster band used it for their name too). Its a movie from the 70s about motorcycle gangs in japan, the bosozoku used that symbol a lot in the movie. Maybe this guy is a fan of vintage movies, or motorcycle culture, or maybe just an edgelord.
youre pop-up design would look somewhat like the jaguar xj220 had. the "popups" on that were actually stationary lights with a cover that dropped down. looks great imo. And go on, get an RX8. itll be like £200, or hunt down the rare Hydrogen RX8s. love those

Hard to not be envious of you, Alexi. Quite some fun cars in this too, the Citreon was the least expected thing. but that Mazdaspeed GT-C kitted FD RX-7 at 3:03 has got to be my favorite. These kits are rare and the owner has the whole thing! even the spoiler.
The retractable headlight thing you're describing is basically what the Jaguar XJ220 does. Also amazed to see the RE-A Greddy 6! But the GS Birotor (ultra-rare in any country) is just exquisite. What a way to steal the show at a rotary meet!

I had a HB 929 as my first car in Australia in 2004 and a rare factory turbo HB 929 as my second car so seeing these brought back memories and I'm glad to see they're still getting love in Japan. I'd love to one day own a real HB Cosmo with the 12A turbo motor and red velour interior. Ultimate 80s cars.
