I backpacked through India for one month and never in my life have I felt more welcome or appreciated than when I was there. I could tell millions of stories, like how an entire family gave me a ride just because, how I made friends with some schoolers and their teachers in a train just because, how a girl walking out of a temple told me I was hindduist because I wished good on others, or how I was invited to breakfast by a nepali restaurant owner when I had no money left because "in my country we have a big heart". Sorry to say this, but if travelling around the whole world hasn't opened up your mind, maybe you were doing it for the wrong reasons. However, what really impressed me is that you decided to keep that bit after editing, I hope without realising how insulting it would be.

Adithi Devo Bhava - A Person From A Foreign Land Coming To Our Country Must Be Treated With All Respect And With Everything Possible - Like A God.
Satyam Eva Jayathe - Truth/Righteous/Love/Dharma Etc. Anyone Who Divert From These Values Will Be Eventually Crushed By The Dharmic Wheel, Regardless Of How Successful They Look. Hence 'truth will always prevail.'
These are core values of Indian culture for thousands of years. Its in the Indian blood and comes naturally to Indians. ♥️

Mumbai is just one dot of India. Even as an Indian when I visit a different state, I end up feeling like a foreigner. Seeing things and cultures I have never seen in my own state. People with different temperaments, faith, food and culture. It is magical.
To sum up : A trip to just one city in India is like visiting the UK and believing you have seen Europe!

This was so funny to see apprehension about an India trip. I have only been out of my country twice (South Africa), the first was Egypt and then India twice, North and South and India honesty feels way safer than my country. People are friendlier, food is AMAZING and I was battling to find someone who didn't have a smile on their face. Another EPIC Yes Theory video.

They sometimes quote 5-6 times to actual price to tourists. The guys in the video were honest though.
I’m from Mexico and had the opportunity to visit India on a volunteer’s program. Let me say that all the stuff told by westerner media is far from the truth. It’s just the most amazing country I’ve ever visited.

I have seen a lot of the more recent videos of Thomas travelling on his own, and I gotta say that I love to see how much the experiences have broaden your perspective and tought you to be less scared/more courageous. You guys should come to Colombia!
One of the best parts about this video was how much it matched my experience in Mumbai (literally right down to some of the same places). I had to break our Mumbai trip into three videos because it was so epic.
Of all my travels in India Mumbai was definitely one of my very favorite cities!

Eh a major stereotype is the lack of caring for most road rules which is pretty obvious so I wouldn't say that they disproved any stereotypes really. There are ones relating to hygiene and all but they're true only in certain parts of the country

Those 2 guys remind me of a thing we did in Goa.. We were traveling to bhaga from Panjim after a long night in a casino. We saw 2 girls being surrounded by taxi walas, literally being harassed. it was around 2 am, we stopped and spoke to them like we had met before and thank god the girls picked it up and played along lol.. we totally acted like friends 😂 dropped the 2 Finnish girls at their hotel .. just a proud moment..

It didnt' have to mean it was dangerous or anything bad necessarily. She knows how to travel to such countries, about bargaining, getting ripped off, how life is there. If he's never been, and especially, if he has no clue on how it is, yes, it's a totally fair statement to say it's going to be harsh for him. The culture shock will be harsh, as it was as evidenced by the video. It's not an easy place to go to as a foreigner with little to no clue.

Loved this video, honestly so so good, thanks for saying Yes to this - P.S.: to all the people surprised by what his girlfriend spoke about India, I have to say that a lone female traveller could have a very different experience than what Thomas had here. Before you say anything to criticize me, I'm an Indian myself. So while I know that India is an amazing place to experience the beauty of our country and totally recommend people to visit, I would NEVER recommend a foreigner who's a woman to travel to India alone, so I think that speaks for itself and so I understand why his gal would have said it was a harsh place.
