Thanks for coming back to Lovebites. Most rock bands would be grateful to have one masterpiece in their careers. Lovebites have at least a half-dozen, and this is near the top of the list. For me, Miyako-sama's solo is one of the best things I've ever heard.
Haruna actually does use the double pedal. The second bass drum is just for show, as is the dummy mic that is attached to it. There is some footage from other songs from this same show where you can see the double pedal setup.

Great & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Haruna's drumming is super. I read an article about her in a Japanese magazine "Headbang" (vol.29 published in April 2021 [page 124]). Haruna answered in an interview that her muscle mass was equivalent to that of Japanese male. No! She must have much bigger muscle, heart and passion in her dainty body frame.

You are a young woman, you need role models of the younger generation to motivate you. I think the Japanese female drummers are the best in the world right now. Haruna drummed before Lovebites in 2012 to 2014 in the heavy metal band Destrose. Even then she was a good drummer, but not at the high level as in 2021 with Lovebites. She has also developed and increased over the years ... Therefore, do not lose your self-confidence , keep practicing and playing! Look at Haruna back then... Haruna is our queen of thunder. Still is using double pedals one bass, however. The other one is just for looks, like every other top drummer does, as tuning two is not worth the trouble and would take way too long to get right.
I'm not sure GT most times yes you see the skin of the Lovebites logo larger kick pulsating but I think on this I see the pentagram skin pulsing at times around 6:00 and 6:10. It does have a mic on it. I have never seen a picture or breakdown of what she has back there. However why would she have the 2 different sizes unless using them? Now on the studio version of The Crusade near the end I would swear the switches the kick drums. Could she have 4 pedals back there? a double pedal for one kick, a second to use both kicks, and a high hat pedal? Is that even practical? To think this isn't even a Haruna steals the shows song.
@@jamesgreen5431 There is footage from other songs from this same show where you can see the double pedal setup (I think Holy War is one where you get a glimpse behind the drums). The mic that is attached to the dummy bass is probably also a dummy mic that is there for appearances (since they were filming this for a DVD), or possibly just there as a backup, in case the one bass goes out of tune and they have to move the pedals to the other. I won't say that she has never used an actual double bass, but she hasn't in awhile.
Not sure if this setups are the same with the settings for Ride for Vengeance, Haruna using a Pearl Eliminator SOLO “RED” Double Pedal, and a Pearl Quad Beater B-250QB, there are pedals for each bass drums but only one with double beater (right one, couldn't see the left one). Don't know how to explain this but both pedals are linked. And there's one for hi hat.

I am sure you heard by now about Miyako's piano prowess as a concert pianist! Her rendition of the Chopin piece " Revolutionary Etude" prior to Swan song is fantastic and the continuous backing track of her playing in Swan song is excellent!!
Nice to hear you mention Haruna most of the time it about M &M and rightfully so but most think of her as a beast on the drum as she is but her musical talent seem to be overlooked as she has great transitions and fills to every song

Great & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Haruna's drumming is super. I read an article about her in a Japanese magazine "Headbang" (vol.29 published in April 2021 [page 124]). Haruna answered in an interview that her muscle mass was equivalent to that of Japanese male. No! She must have much bigger muscle, heart and passion in her dainty body frame.
They just keep impressing more and more. Best metal band(any band really) in the world these days.

Haruna is a powerhouse!! I absolutely love her drumming on this song. A lot of reactors focus on Asami and Miyako for this one but Haruna is out of this world..... Next up Akane from Band-Maid. Not as much double bass, but oh my is she good!!

Great reaction!! After the first guitar solo and a little vocal, in the transition, did you notice Haruna's ice bell ringing with her double bass? Isn't that brutal yet elegant as well, such an idea. I had to watch your reaction again. I enjoyed watching you watching them, because it is exactly how I feel and I've watch this song no less than 50 times. It a testament to the quality of their music as I pickup something else every time I listen to it. I feel guilty listening to them by myself because it's like eating a gallon of delicious Ice Cream without sharing it with someone else. But that could be my mental problem. You are a young woman, you need role models of the younger generation to motivate you. I think the Japanese female drummers are the best in the world right now.
Haruna drummed before Lovebites in 2012 to 2014 in the heavy metal band Destrose. Even then she was a good drummer, but not at the high level as in 2021 with Lovebites. She has also developed and increased over the years ... Therefore, do not lose your self-confidence , keep practicing and playing!

Still is using double pedals one bass, however. The other one is just for looks, like every other top drummer does, as tuning two is not worth the trouble and would take way too long to get right.
I'm not sure GT most times yes you see the skin of the Lovebites logo larger kick pulsating but I think on this I see the pentagram skin pulsing at times around 6:00 and 6:10. It does have a mic on it. I have never seen a picture or breakdown of what she has back there. However why would she have the 2 different sizes unless using them? Now on the studio version of The Crusade near the end I would swear the switches the kick drums. Could she have 4 pedals back there? a double pedal for one kick, a second to use both kicks, and a high hat pedal? Is that even practical? To think this isn't even a Haruna steals the shows song.
@@jamesgreen5431 There is footage from other songs from this same show where you can see the double pedal setup (I think Holy War is one where you get a glimpse behind the drums). The mic that is attached to the dummy bass is probably also a dummy mic that is there for appearances (since they were filming this for a DVD), or possibly just there as a backup, in case the one bass goes out of tune and they have to move the pedals to the other. I won't say that she has never used an actual double bass, but she hasn't in awhile.

Not sure if this setups are the same with the settings for Ride for Vengeance, Haruna using a Pearl Eliminator SOLO “RED” Double Pedal, and a Pearl Quad Beater B-250QB, there are pedals for each bass drums but only one with double beater (right one, couldn't see the left one). Don't know how to explain this but both pedals are linked. And there's one for hi hat.

I am sure you heard by now about Miyako's piano prowess as a concert pianist! Her rendition of the Chopin piece " Revolutionary Etude" prior to Swan song is fantastic and the continuous backing track of her playing in Swan song is excellent!!
Nice to hear you mention Haruna most of the time it about M &M and rightfully so but most think of her as a beast on the drum as she is but her musical talent seem to be overlooked as she has great transitions and fills to every song

Keep it up. 😉 If you thought this was impressive, wait till you listen to "Swan Song" with Miyako's "Chopin's Revolutionary etude" introduction.
