my favorite part of this song. it comes off as kind of a ballad but yet at the same time the chugging riffs and constant annihilation of haruna's kit send it into different realm. another miyako masterpiece

I have been listening to music for a long, long time. I have been fortunate enough to see live, some of the greatest rock bands ever (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, just to name a few). Lovebites impress me to no end. How many bands can claim they have 5 maestros? Each of these ladies are beyond insanely talented. They are in a different league. Besides being so talented on the guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, their songwriting skills and lyrics are out of this world. I honestly believe the reason Miyako looks stoic on stage is that while she is playing, she is writing new songs in her head. And Haruna...3 letters...OMG!!! Her style of playing reminds me so much of Ingo Schwichtenberg (RIP). That constant thunder coming off that kit is mindblowing. I could go on all day about how amazing they all are but I'll just let their music do the talking.
their helloween cover should be next, more of Haruna, I like it when she smiles up at the camera,, myako is also a concert pianist, among other things

How couldn't you love such a song? Such a band? How couldn't you love a culture that produces so many wonderful musicians, and makes them blossom? There may be gloomy aspects that belong to it, of course, but japanese music shines so bright and flawless, no matter what genre one listens to, it's always the same, an outburst of creativity and emotion ... Rock music in particular - they simply own it. It's a precious present to the whole world!
Miyako, l'autrice di questo pezzo, è considerata un genio musicale. Ha cominciato a suonare il pianoforte a tre anni e poi a 18 ha imparato da sola a suonare la chitarra elettrica. Come si evince dall'intro di Chopin: "Revolutionary etude", che fu creato come studio per rafforzare la fluidità della mano sx e non solo, in background si può sentire un altro studio di Chopin: "Ocean" che richiama l'avanti e indietro delle onde del mare e utilizzato anche qui per sincronizzare in velocità le due mani sulla tastiera e che viene ripreso poi per il finale con un mix con un accenno della Sinfonia del Nuovo Mondo di Dvorak. Se vuoi vedere all'opera ancora Miyako sul pianoforte c'è: "Empty daydream", con un intro di Rachmaninof, dove si esaltano anche le caratteristiche R&B di Asami.
Great reaction. Yes, Lovebites has a way of leaving everybody speechless. This song is a masterpiece by them and great on so many levels. An amazing performance by Miyako, the golden touch and musical genius of the band. It is truly remarkable how much she has grown and improved since joining the band and she was great already when she started out. Midori and Miyako are the heart and soul of Lovebites and will propel them to greatness.

IMO this is one of their masterpieces. For your viewers who may not be familiar with the back-story: Chopin was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant.

I enjoy drummers and bass players pointing out things my old roadie ears can't sort out but notice.
What is truly amazing is not that Miyako, the musical savant, wrote this masterpiece blending old world masters and metal. No the fact she has band-mates that can play it flawlessly LIVE makes it that much more amazing. Haruna really went to town here, a surprise assuming this was going to be a piano driven song. NEVER/EVER assume with this band, there is nothing they are not capable of and LIVE they are the very definition of flawless perfection. Great reaction and Haruna once again drives this band from great to exceptional without any real shine time!! Happy Birthday to the little drummer with great smile and stamina of I don't even know what to compare her to (LOL).

A masterpiece. The Miyako Show. That's some prodigy level musicianship. The whole band was perfect. Asami's vocals were beautiful, Midori had that great blended solo on the back end and she and Miyako harmonizing was beautiful, Miho just filling in everything with speed and tone, and Haruna simply out of control, in total control.
It's so strange to read a 10 month old comment from that time, just because I'm late. Being from the future of this comment: replace "was" with "is" and listen to the 2023 album "Judgement Day"! They've found a new bassist and are better than ever! This album is just insane!

not the regular metal band. two chopin etudes are in this one: "revolutionary" as the beginning and motives from "ocean" from backtrack and at the ending. are they good? and I appreciate your liking of asamis mighty soaring voice. thank you again for another joyful entertaining reaction. wolfpack loves it.
quick edit: miyako didn´t even like this piano because it was a digital one with plastic keys.
So it looked grand, but it wasn't.
@@5Melig yes. in an translated interview miyako told, that her parents bought her a smaller yamaha grandpiano, when it became more and more obvious, how good she was. she disliked the standard plastic keys so much, that she put in all her savings to get wooden keys. she was around ten then.

I'd like to recommend another Japanese group that's more or less their own genre, Wagakki Band. They're an eight-piece band that mixes modern instruments with traditional instruments. I don't want to say too much, but I think you'll enjoy the drummers. I'm going to recommend a video that's two songs and is a good intro to WGB as it eases you into them instead of overwhelming the new viewer with all eight musicians going at once backed by a lot of stage production. The songs are "Homura" and "Akatsuki No Ito."
