The video was a comparison or was it a review of the Nintendo Switch version?😂
The title says technical and fps review...
@@salvadormendoza5045 The title says "GameCube vs Nintendo Switch" and what you mention is what would be taken into account in that comparison... but the comparison did not exist and they only talked about the Switch Version
I second this lol no comparison
What I've noticed with these games is that the action commands are much easier to execute in handheld mode, whereas on console I always get them wrong, probably because on a handheld everything runs at 30 fps.
I have a few gripes with the remake, one of which is the constant ground reflection.
On Switch 2 they will re-release at 60fps.
nintendo switch >>> ps3
gamecube EVIL 4 >>> PS2 EVIL 4
NINTENDO SWITCH 30 FPS 🤡
gamecube 60 FPS
for $80

No they wouldn’t lol
I feel like it could hit 60 easily if they turned off screen space reflections, maybe they could release a patch that lets you turn it on/off.
Modders have attempted this already. Still can't hit 60fps.
Couldn't agree more, it'd make a lot more sense to remove the SSR and allow 60FPS.
@@Maxiow Removing the SSR isn't enough to allow 60FPS. Wait for a potential Switch 2 patch for the game.
@@imjustcody I believe they said that the Switch 2 will only be announced march next year and buying a new console is expensive so I guess this game will be a hard pass for me, at least for now.
@@Maxiow That is not what they said at all. They said it will be announced within this fiscal year which means they can announce it whenever they want before March 2025, and with how the Switch 1 reveal went, I'm fully expecting Switch 2 to be announced this year and release in early 2025.
From 60fps to 30??? 😂😂 come on nintendo 😂😂😂
Both versions are good but the older game feels way smoother.
I dont notice it as much when using handheld but i prefer the old game overall mostly because of SFX. Nostalgia badge is good and all but the old SFX were better in some areas.
Im emulating this playing at a silky smooth 60 fps at 4k fuck the switch and the upcoming switch 2 lol
amen to that. I plugged in my gamecube again and with an HDMI cord for my gamecube, im able to play it at a BUTTERY smooth 60fps. I looked up footage of the remake out of curiosity and before diving into video essays about the performance, all i thought was, "why the fuck do the frames drop and it looks so slow!?" You could literally be in a room full to the brim with dry bones or "dull bones" and not on single frame drop or stutter. The remake has frame drops and stutters in Petalburg!
Are you emulating the switch version? I plan on playing it on emulation don't now if to just go with the GC version or this new switch pne
Bought it. I still have the GameCube version too
Is the Switch really that weak? Why can't it run at 60fps???
The switch was an underpowered system in 2017. Its 2024
Mario odyssey rans 60 fps in 2017, I dont know what's this game excuse 😅
@@firefoxriouyh6541 thats true. maybe its a design choice? (though not sure why design it this way)
Because this is the remake that is built in a different but complex engine that might be too much for the switch, they made the right choice to keep it at 30 fps.
I swear the docked switch runs 60 fps or am i bugging plus with paper mario games i dont think the fact that its 30 fps will matter too much i still prefer to play it on my wii tho i dont think theres a point jn buying it if you already have it but if you dont definitely donit looks great
Bruh said Nintendo was ahead of its time and had 60 fps Mario titles, no. In reality Nintendo has been inconsistent with what they choose to do, Mario sunshine for example ran at 30 and galaxy and odyssey both run at 60. Nintendo is still great at optimization it just depends on what they want to do
Que joguinho gostosinho de assitir, fiquei com vonatde de jogar.
30 fps is pretty good no problem
1 billion problem
Muito bom parabéns ótimo trabalho em breve eu terei meu nintendo switch..❤

For a slower paced game like this, I really don’t care if it’s only 30. I’m glad they chose slightly better visuals rather than a 60 fps framerate.
I feel bamboozled.
Why the hell is Nintendo still struggling with FPS?
poor hardware, that's why
I feel like it could hit 60 easily if they turned off screen space reflections, maybe they could release a patch that lets you turn it on/off.
Bruh why do people have problems with 30fps
@@kobeeboy because we don’t live in the 2000’s anymore
It’s so laggy when I play it.
NINTENDO SWITCH 2 = PS4 PRO
NINTENDO SWITCH 2 30 FPS 😂
😂😂 so boring , moan about fps but please tell me which playstation console let's you play the witcher 3 on a train ?, features add compromises, also obviously we're talking about paper mario here but exactly that it's paper mario why do we need 60fps😂
30 fps is much more economic for the battery, switch is not a home console, at least no 100%
30fps in 2024 is just dumb, it doesn't matter how slow a game is, it should be at least 40fps (Nintendo look at the steam deck and take notes, please!). More than that, it's amazing how gamers are still accepting 30fps without any problem, it looks so damn sluggish....
yall really crying over 30 fps on a console that's almost a decade old. touch grass.
I don't care that much about frame rate, but I do care about value. I'm not buying this crap. I'm not spending $60 on a 20-year-old game that looks like a 10-year-old game with half the frame rate. Even the original became a Nintendo select for $20. Smh.
It is such a good game though. I’m pretty miffed about the frame rate. But the dozens of hours my sister and I spent playing this game together are worth it. I’ll be glad to play it again with her. It is one of my favorite games of all time. I am quite annoyed by the frame rate though.
But have you played it? If you did, i understand. But if you didn't, so it is a new game, and it would be worth playing, it doesn't matter how old it is
But yes, the game shouldn't cost all that, but it is surely better than most of modern games (at least in my opinion)
@@pedrobeckup456 Well, no. I'm not paying $60 to see if halving the frame rate makes sense in a timing-based RPG. I know it doesn't. I'm also not supporting a re-release that doesn't even have the decency of crediting the original artists.
@@m.m.m.6151 They don't credits the original artists?
I played some of the original version again (I had already played the entire original game before) but it was hard to me to press the buttons at the right time, even though the game ran at better fps
@@pedrobeckup456 Getting used to the new one will make the timing on the old one feel off because it has twice the frames. The original is objectively more precise because twice as many frames are refreshing.
But yes, they only make a note of an "original development staff." They don't list anyone's names. Since they made the game, I think this is an issue.
Peach on handheld looks terrible. When docked a little better. But to realese your own game lookink so terrible on console is some kind of disaster
