I would set the Quantize to an appropriate value, would start with 8Et - easiest way to hit tuned tones. To find a correct pitch with potentiometers with a four octave range is difficult :-) And would set the sub1 and 2 freq into "unison" mode (fully to the right) at least in the beginning. And then try to start and find some sweet spots in the subharmonic spectrum. Where is the octave the quint and so on, before exploring the "stranger" spectrum.
@@philaesfarewell That’s exactly how I continued two days ago, but without filming a video about it - Seq Oct set to +1, qunatize level to 8 ET 😊 all subs to the left, both oscillators tuned, and then set opposite sub-oscillators for VCO1 and VCO2... tada - endless sweet spots! @@AntaresWaveLab Yeah. Using 8 basically quantizes it to one key while turning off the quantizer means you'd have to tune each step to an exact frequency, which is really only useful if you are trying to use some more obscure and/or microtonal scale.

I'm loving the Spice. I tried replicating the sounds that PatchDog did in his Behringer Demo videos but couldn't get close. I tuned the Spice as per the SynthTribe software bit it still doesn't sound close to the Behringer demo's. At the same time, the Behringer Demo's may be using a Pre-Production model of the synth so may sound different. Overall though I am loving this synth but the Rhythm / Division settings are going to take some getting used to.
@@leftmono1016 yeah, I am definitely getting that vibe from the Spice. Getting the hang of it though and even managed to get some great ambient sounds from it. Done a video of my first Ambient music track with it.

I have the Moog original, it’s all about experimenting and coming across happy accidents 👍
