Inspiring me to get mine out and just have a go. I seem to be getting decision paralysis with all the controls. Probably not the best synth for my first adventure into analog/modular land. Much thanks for the video & inspiration.
It’s just a matter of time to get comfortable with it. There are synths that I let aside even a couple of weeks, unpacked in my studio. I tell them they have to accomodate first 😅
Behringer makes clones better than the originals..✌🏻😅 I will buy Edge in this month. And I place it near the Neutron and Model D. I think them will be friends..🎹🎛️😎
EDGE is great and is not falling too far from the original, but from my past experience I can say that who's having the money, should go for DFAM. Otherwise, you can do the same* with both. In the end is just a matter of personal choice.
I think my Edge is a keeper. Love it for drums and percussion. I had a go using MIDI-in, with automated parameters. Great fun. One minor issue, is that - when using MIDI-in for notes / melody - it seems to trigger the internal sequencer each time, so you have to manually press the stop button. There's no way to switch that feature off, from what I can see (including through the Musictribe software).
I'm trying to decide between the two. Having listened to lots of YT videos on both the DFAM sounds a lot warmer / fatter to me...but maybe it's partly down to the quality of the videos. Difficult to know I guess
@soundsofsynth I'd say once it's in a mix behind other increments and with EQ and effects, the difference would be negligible. Although if cost isn't a factor.. the DFAM definitely looks better and will probably last a hell of a lot longer!
@1dale1dale there’s also the value over time. The price of an used Behringer is decreasing exponentially comparing to a Moog. But also: if you just want to have fun and you don’t see it as an asset /investment for your studio - that could increase its value over time - it’s just fine.
This is real analog vibe! Hats off!
Fantastic sound, got my edge this morning, i love it 😎
I've been using this for a 2nd bass synth(along with Crave) via midi control. Such gnarly sounds can be had.
Excellent demo, thanks
Solid performance ❤
Thanks!
The Edge is very special.
Good sound&demo ' cheers
Thanks for listening!
good demo🤙👍💜
Thanks!
je crois que je vais craquer pour ce petit (mais si puissant) Edge
That’s cool stuff
Very nice sound 🔥🎧
Thanks for listening!
Tasty AF dude!
Shit I love it when you turn up the Noise
Sounds fun!
That’s all about with the gear!
Yeah, this is bang on..!

Killah!!!!!!
Good video. Like it. Especially about 7:10
That’s my favourite part too!
Instant kraftwerk
Welcome to the edge club 😂👍 I love my edge... Hard techno beats up to dirty dark industrial... Enjoy it😎
Thanks! I’m gonna convince Edge to do some ambient as well😝

I want it because it’s purple.
How would you rate it against the DFAM?

I like the sounds like a Jaw Harp
Great stuff, I have one and it’s always great to have a noodle with it. What do you think, do you think you’ll use it more?
Thanks! I hope so, I’m just discovering and I have some ideas to integrate it in my setup. It sounds very nice.
That all solely done with the edge?
Yes.
Also a subtle delay effect

I have that problem too when connected to Model 15: it triggers the sequencer. Let’s hope for an update!
The onky difference between this and the DFAM is snobery

…and possibly build quality, but only time will tell on that.
I have both a dfam and edge. They're a great combo and have them both synced to my Mc 707
