Imagine after like 6-7 years, in the very last chapter of HSR the crew faces the final boss and this song starts playing again, I’d literally pass out and just start crying
The way i ended this fight made this slap 7 times harder Literally 1% on Cocolia, 2 hp on mc, everyone in the party dead, and used ult at the drop It felt fucking awesome
Not too far from what I had, I had Natasha at less than 100 and my only dps was perseveration March, I just kept a cycle of March ulting then preserving Natasha while she healed, it took FOREVER
My party was dropping one by one and eventually it just became a slugfest between MC and the boss, just taking turns beating the shit out of each other I got the boss to 12% and MC was one hit from death but I got the ult off at the beat drop as well which also charged the giant mech and was enough to end her I agree, that shit was immaculate
As a pure Genshin player, I now understand why Honkai players say why their vocal tracks are insane. 1:42 had no reason to go that hard and the way they synced the beat drop to hit right when Cocolia used her burst.. Just wow.
1:42 Legit goosebumps, the fact it felt like it was our theme and not Cocolias really shows how special that moment was, legit pulled a "I'm favored by the gods and you're not" on her
It definitely was meant to be our (and Bronya, Seele, and the rest’s) because Wildfire was the name of the rebel Underworld group trying to survive despite Cocolia locking them down there
This was the first boss in a while to make me feel nervous before it. I had that "I'm not sure if I'm ready" moment before facing her that made me check everything and use consumables. It really feels like the final battle for the fate of the world. And this is only the beginning. Incredible.

She litteraly killed my whole team only my traiblazer remained alive in the last second it was truly like an anime moment where the allies fall and the mc is the one who will deal the last blow on the enemy

This song makes me feel like you're climbing a tall mountain. The cold wind is blowing so violently and you're barely holding on but there's something inside you telling you to keep climbing, to make it to the top. Absolutely amazing song for the first major boss in the game.
It's pure dopamine hit when Gepard says his line during the silent moment in the song at 0:36 and then raises his arm and summons the giant ice wall as the beat drops.
1:42 That ult drop into the vocals playing was a straight power move from Hoyo. These people never miss with the themes man. They just know how to elevate the atmosphere of a battle so well.
As a FFXIV player let me just say good tracks with vocals are how you drive a fan base crazy. Soken and the rest of the music team on XIV are insane, and hopefully Star Rail keeps this stuff up for the big moments.

As a FFXIV player, I agree wholeheartedly. I LOVE Soken and his team. Half of FFXIV’s awesomeness comes from the sick tracks and I love all of it! I immediately thought of FFXIV when the vocals cut in, was timed perfectly to the final phase transition, and sooo good at that! A game can easily hook me If the tracks are bangers. Now that they pulled that off, Im expecting to see more musical gems like this from now on!
As a Honkai Impact player, you don't realize how crazy good the music technicians are in Hoyo-mix. They are insane people who can make Honkai players cry by command just by playing certain songs.
Fighting this boss with March/Dan Heng, Bronya and Seele on your side felt like the climax of the story came together as they intended. Word cannot describe the intensity and epicness of this fight. Like, your character just survived a fatal shot, recieved a brand new weapon and skill, and the rest of story accurate character came to aid you.
Yeah the pulls did not let me have that moment, I went in with Natasha, Hook, and Asta. On a side note Asta’s ultimate synced up with this music is like genuinely beautiful!
Yeah I liked the song a lot just was so loud during story boss fight, to where I couldn’t hear anything the characters were saying. If wasn’t for subtitles I wouldn’t have had any idea what they were saying
This song when I fought Cocolia, gave me the same energy as "Fly Octo Fly!" gave me in Splatoon 2 when I fought the dlc's final "battle". By that I mean, a strong music for the final battle of that storyline, that gives me the energy, the willpower strength, the desire, to press on and finish this. Unlike in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion though, I did not lose like a billion times in the battle in Honkai Star Rail. I beat it first try. The deus ex machina really helped fighting her though, since I had no fire element character in my active party
They really went full on JRPG with this boss fight, huh? Actually, no. They went BEYOND, and just straight up induced the feeling you get when anime opening played at the climax of last episode, in other words? Fucking insane!
Nah not completely beyond, there are plenty of JRPG's with boss fights of this caliber and even beyond (cough cough the entire Xenoblade Chronicles series cough cough, Persona 5 cough cough)
Yes, it did have to go that hard. There were so many HI3 references, from Cocolia looking like a fusion dance between the Herrschers of Void and Ice, to that giant shard she dropped on us looking exactly like what Kevin used to seal and then destroy Durandal's giant lance during their duel.
Gacha games have to go this hard nowadays. Fancy art can't draw attention. You need something special. Arknights gameplay is special, but what keeps people spreading its name around is massively due to the osts. Genshin has the fame it has because of open world, that alone makes people interested. Most other gachas aren't giga popular despite having good art or gameplay either, even if they have massively generous rates. Good osts is one of the best ways to spread the name.

Having listened to this a few times alongside your lyrics, I'm fairly sure its "despondent crowd", "the only want remains" and "the floor". I'm also not sure I'm hearing "there were exchanges of life", but not quite sure what - the last word sounds more like "grind" or "game" to me, but it's a bit hard to fit the rest of the line around it (unless you allow for engrish like "they were changed your game", but given that the rest of the song is rather well put together, that's unlikely).
This song was a major surprise in the fight. The cutscene before was already amazing. In the first phase you feel the struggle and desperation. But in the second phase when the vocals start, you also start your comeback, more powerful, determined and heroic.
Glad to see that TetraCalyx is involved with this. She always made absolute banger hits for Honkai Impact. Knowing that she had a hand in this tells me that there is tons more waiting in store for HSR. From us Captains to you Trailblazers, you are in good hands!!
oh man, u guys have no idea how hyped i got when this song just dropped while i was battling Cocolia. Being immersed to the storyline made it even better for me. Then I did everything to time my attacks with every beat of the song to make it seem like an anime final boss battle when i did it again to farm materials lmfao.

TETRACALYX DOESN’T DISAPPOINT WITH LYRICS. This battle gave me goosebumps, especially as a HI3 player. Seeing Bronya & Cocolia’s dynamic in this universe felt so insane & this battle was done beautifully for it. The conclusion to the Belobog arc was bittersweet, which I honestly love. This theme gives me so many chills, reminds me of befall in that aspect, no idea why though.

When the drop happened during Cocolias burst attack my jaw literally dropped, it was such a perfect place to put the drop in cause if you lived this attack you most certainly win, just tearing her down from this throne of madness and false promises. It was even better cause I had delayed the attack due to engine of creation massively helping weakness breaking her on the 1st charge. So when it went through I didnt expect the entire feel of the fight to change THIS drastically

As a FFXIV player, I agree wholeheartedly. I LOVE Soken and his team. Half of FFXIV’s awesomeness comes from the sick tracks and I love all of it! I immediately thought of FFXIV when the vocals cut in, was timed perfectly to the final phase transition, and sooo good at that! A game can easily hook me If the tracks are bangers. Now that they pulled that off, Im expecting to see more musical gems like this from now on!

Fighting this boss with March/Dan Heng, Bronya and Seele on your side felt like the climax of the story came together as they intended. Word cannot describe the intensity and epicness of this fight.
Like, your character just survived a fatal shot, recieved a brand new weapon and skill, and the rest of story accurate character came to aid you.
I wanted to do this, but not having unlocked Seele meant I had to use a mahjong player instead.

This song when I fought Cocolia, gave me the same energy as "Fly Octo Fly!" gave me in Splatoon 2 when I fought the dlc's final "battle". By that I mean, a strong music for the final battle of that storyline, that gives me the energy, the willpower strength, the desire, to press on and finish this. Unlike in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion though, I did not lose like a billion times in the battle in Honkai Star Rail. I beat it first try. The deus ex machina really helped fighting her though, since I had no fire element character in my active party

Yes, it did have to go that hard. There were so many HI3 references, from Cocolia looking like a fusion dance between the Herrschers of Void and Ice, to that giant shard she dropped on us looking exactly like what Kevin used to seal and then destroy Durandal's giant lance during their duel.
Gacha games have to go this hard nowadays. Fancy art can't draw attention. You need something special.

Genshin has the fame it has because of open world, that alone makes people interested.

Having listened to this a few times alongside your lyrics, I'm fairly sure its "despondent crowd", "the only want remains" and "the floor". I'm also not sure I'm hearing "there were exchanges of life", but not quite sure what - the last word sounds more like "grind" or "game" to me, but it's a bit hard to fit the rest of the line around it (unless you allow for engrish like "they were changed your game", but given that the rest of the song is rather well put together, that's unlikely).

This song was a major surprise in the fight. The cutscene before was already amazing. In the first phase you feel the struggle and desperation. But in the second phase when the vocals start, you also start your comeback, more powerful, determined and heroic.
Glad to see that TetraCalyx is involved with this. She always made absolute banger hits for Honkai Impact. Knowing that she had a hand in this tells me that there is tons more waiting in store for HSR.

This battle gave me goosebumps, especially as a HI3 player. Seeing Bronya & Cocolia’s dynamic in this universe felt so insane & this battle was done beautifully for it. The conclusion to the Belobog arc was bittersweet, which I honestly love. This theme gives me so many chills, reminds me of befall in that aspect, no idea why though.

When the drop happened during Cocolias burst attack my jaw literally dropped, it was such a perfect place to put the drop in cause if you lived this attack you most certainly win, just tearing her down from this throne of madness and false promises. It was even better cause I had delayed the attack due to engine of creation massively helping weakness breaking her on the 1st charge. So when it went through I didnt expect the entire feel of the fight to change THIS drastically
