I’m 37 weeks +4 days and have had inconsistent contractions for the past week! Things are slowly starting to progress and get more intense. Went into the hospital yesterday for water break scare (water didn’t break) and found out I’m 60% effaced and not dilated at all! Hoping baby comes soon because contractions all day can be annoying!! Lol We got this mommas!!! #2023babies
Hey! I'm 37+5 today. I lost my mucus plug yesterday morning after some bad cramping. Been having inconsistent contractions and very intense Braxton Hicks ever since. I don't know how dilated/effaced I am but I'm ready to get the ball rolling! I'm gonna try for an unmedicated VBAC this time. All prayers and well wishes are welcomed! Sending mine your way. 🤗
@@crystalglopez91623 I ended up giving birth at 41+5 🥴 I went to the hospital bc I was ready to get the baby out no matter what! 😂 Turns out I was already 5cm dilated and my water had broken but I didn't feel it happen. I got to 7 cm without meds until I could feel my C-section scar with each contraction, which was often and long by that point. So I got an epidural right around 8cm and I'm so glad I did. The C-section scar pain was the absolute worst, I wasn't mentally prepared for that. I ended up having baby girl a few hours later. They took her to the NICU for observation bc we didn't know how long she went without amniotic fluid, but thank God she was just fine and we were able to bring her home after a few days. She turns 1 next week 😍 thanks for asking!
I just want to say thank you for gently and kindly explaining things like the mucus plug. I always feel silly, like shouldn’t I know these things already; like, my friend recently gave birth and was telling her birth story to me and a couple other ladies and EVERYONE but me understand all the terms, whereas I was secretly making a note in my head to google stuff later. But when you started just lovingly explaining what it was and didn’t assume everyone knows - dang that hit me hard and I was SO relieved. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and explaining everything so kindly.
Hi Samantha, Bridget is great isn't she? By the way most women won't know about things like the mucus plug. When I was pregnant, I barely knew anything. The good thing is, you are watching these videos and educating yourself. What month are you expecting your baby? xxx
Sometimes it's just an impression that everyone around you knows the stuff. In reality they are very relieved, when someone else asked, because they are afraid to and think like you, they are the only ones who don't know. Since the experience differ from woman to woman and child to child we can exchange a lot of different knowledge about the same thing. It's always interesting.
My husband overheard this video and when you said "losing your Mucus plug means that birth is imminent". My husband said "well so does being pregnant. You gotta give birth at some point." 😂😂😂 so funny

39 weeks pregnant with first baby. Had cramping for 4 days and this morning I lost my mucous plug and cramps have gotten worse, the cramps also increase in pain when I lay down. The cramps are about a minute long and happening every 5 to 30 mins. Please pray for me and wish me luck.
My mucus plugs (3 births) were always very thick in consistency and opaque, usually with blood streaks. They never looked like egg whites for me, so I thought I’d throw that out there for other expecting moms to know! Thank you for your informative and encouraging videos!

I was induced with my first at 39 weeks and I had no signs of labor. I am trying my best to let labor happen naturally with my second, currently 38.5 weeks. I am nervous I’m going to be that mom going to the hospital too early and be turned away. This video reassured me on the signs I should be on the look out for.

Same situation as me! Did you wind up going into labour soon after? I had a lot of really uncomfortable pains and pressure in my pelvis last night, then this morning I had bloody mucus! A little bit of achiness in my lower back once in awhile, but not a whole lot is going on yet. Due tomorrow lol

I know your comment is older but same! My oldest will be 6 in a couple months, I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been dilated at a 3 for almost a week now.. I’m so anxious. My oldest cane very different at a month early, water broke before contractions or dilation and I had to have pitocin. This time waiting naturally I am like WHAT IS MY BODY DOING?!
Thank you. Thank you. You have correctly described what I'm going through. 39 weeks & 6 days. C-section scheduled in 2 days if I don't progress. I really want to have a VBAC. Membrane sweep done 3 days ago & it's been a rollercoaster since. Contractions driving me crazy but they don't progress. Lost mucus plug yesterday & got very frequent contractions afterwards, but once again subsided. Losing my mind....but gotta keep patient. Trying to walk as much as I can.
40 weeks 3 days 😓 last week I was spotting and liquid coming out m, told my OB he said it’s normal. Now I’ve only been getting lower back pains and my stomach tightness with no pain. I’ve been 1cm dilated for a week now
I’m due in a week! I absolutely looove pregnancy, makes me feel like she enjoys it to so she’ll want to stick around longer lol, I want to meet her so bad and I think I’m ready to now as much as I’d love her to stay 💕
I am 30 weeks pregnant but Im already getting signs. I thought I was losing my mucus plug a couple months ago but I believe it was just clear sticky discharge. But today I started having pieces of yellow thick stuff coming out but not a whole lot. She's already weighing in about 5 ibs. And I feel like I will be having her soon. This is my 3rd baby, 5th pregnancy. And my instincts just say it's soon.
I have 2 questions ... #1 How 'big' is the mucus plug? Are we talking about the size of, say a cherry, or are we talking about something closer to, say a kiwi? #2 How long might one expect early labor to last. You mention several times that it can be a while, but what does that mean? Hours? Days?
38 weeks. I just lost my mucus plug. BTW, mine looked like yellow snot, but way thicker... Not egg whites. Praying for a healthy baby for all the pregnant ladies on here!!!!
when I was 37 weeks and 5 days I thought I am going to be in labor soon since I lost my mucus plug. But I'm wrong LOL now, at 39 weeks with 1-2cm dilation, I usually feel inconsistent contractions but not a real labor 😅 thanks for this video momma
I’m 35+6 and just lost some mucus plug today. Came right after a little light cramping, with a light pink tinge. My cervix is open and I’m dilated 1cm. First baby and I have a strong feeling he’ll be here a couple of weeks before his due date. The anxiety and nervousness is real…😅 What’s also real is lightning crotch. 🙈
Thank yooooou so MUCH! Muchas gracias, for sharing all this information. Not everyone has the money to get a birthcourse, and this is very helpful to provide calming for birth. I had watched more than 10 videos, and 4 days to go for our home birth, first time mama! Wujuuu so exciting!!!!
Hello from malaysia. I really like all your video. Ur explanation so clear, i can understand it clearly. My due date will be 2weeks more 😬 pray for me 😁❤️
40 weeks + 4 days and just lost my plug. Opaque kind of cream color, gelatinous, and old blood streaks. No contractions... maybe little braxtons that are not even uncomfortable. Zero pain atm... 3 cm dilated and 60-70% effaced (had my exam this morning at 9 am, it is now 11 pm). First baby
I’m 35 weeks pregnant and noticed last night I’ve had clear thick stretchy mucus but it wasn’t a whole lot...this is my third baby.. with this baby I’ve had nothing but menstral cramps
39+6 , tomorrow is his due Date. I lost my mucus Plug last Night and contractions started yesterday, too..im very excited to See when active labor contractions start 😮
Update: he was Born on his due date. No induction needed. I had early Labor contractions 2 days and on the third day my water broke and 4 Hours later he was Born. Best unmedicated birth With no medical interventions ❤️
I'm 42 weeks and only just now lost my mucus plug. This is baby #2. I thought I was in labor yesterday, but I wasn't :( I'm not upset about still being pregnant, I think my body handles it well, I just want to meet my baby and I'm eager for a better birth experience than my last birth. My midwife expects tonight, so I'm going to be doing everything I can because if I don't go into labor tonight, I'll have to be induced at 7:30am tomorrow and I would rather not do that. I want the assurance my body knows what it's doing naturally and I had to be induced last time. I'm ripe and effacing, just no dilation. I had trouble dilating last time too :(
Oh no How'd it go? I'm 41 + 5 with my first. I spent 28 hrs with excruciating contractions yesterday until this morning. Then they suddenly stopped... which I am kind of glad they stopped for a bit because the pain is unreal. Then I lost the plug this afternoon... I don't want to be induced in 2 days Time but I'm also terrified of the pain that's coming. 😫 ahh
Thank you for all the information and positivity you give in your videos, I’m 38 weeks and my midwife has been a pen pusher with a cold and condescending attitude. Thank you again ❤️
I usually lose my mucas plug first and go into labor anywhere between 6-10 hours later. I’ve experienced seeing the whole thing at one time and also only a small amount. Enough to know when to call my midwife to let her know. I’m overdue right now with my 4th baby and still waiting for it!
@@hilaryowen1160 how did it go for you ladies ? I lost my plug last night but some more this morning then again this afternoon . This is my first and my contractions are getting stronger but ik it’s probably still early stages but I’m past my due date by a week now ..
Started watching ur videos recently ..and now watching only your videos regarding labour😍..Love your voice and your way of talk ..keep going dea ..I'm 35 weeks now and waiting for my lil ones arrival ❤️
If i have painful period cramps (most likely from endometriosis) will that mean my early labor that people say feels like period cramps will be just as severe? Or will it be different? If that makes sense
Plz keep in mind that every pregnancy is different. Mine did not go thos way as my contractions ce so fast and way earlier than they were supposed to. The doc told me to just relax and take a bath.... Smh! I was already going into labor and almost hady baby at home had I listened to the doc! Listen to your body.
Anne Springbok - how soon after it came it you have birth. I had my sweep yesterday and the plug came out in the middle of the night and I am not sure what happens after !!!
Okay I’m almost 39 weeks, dilated 1-2 two days ago when I got checked. Doc could feel baby’s head. I’ve been having steady contractions that last most of the day with cramping and moderate back pain going on 5 days. I just had what sounds like mucous plug come away this morning. Cloudy jelly like with a tinge of brown. You said notify people, do you mean that I should notify my doctor NOW? My next appt is Monday. This will be my first delivery after a mc. Thanks for all your informative videos, I have watched so many! 💓
I'm due next week! I can not wait. I'm so over pregnancy! I was 2cm last week. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow so I'm looking forward to seeing if I dilated anymore.
In early labour here, re-watching all interesting videos on the topic in between those random irregular first contractions 😁😁 the mucus plug also just came out - was exactly as you described it - white / beige large snot with a bit of blood in it 😉 excitiiing 😁😁
First birth I was 39 weeks 2 days and I other than fatigue and nausea which blended with preexisting pregnancy symptoms I had no warning. I woke up one morning and my water broke as I sat up. No blood, just thick clear/yellow/white goop. This time, I just hit my due date today and woke up to pee and had a thick gooey white/clear trail hanging from me! I Hope today is today!
40 weeks tomorrow baby no.3 and so confused! You’d think it would be similar each birthing journey but not one bit! I had prodromal labor this time around and have had an annoying achy tummy/back for 2 days straight. Hoping I can have my baby tomorrow ( due date )
With my first pregnancy I lost my mucous plug at 3 AM, and had my baby almost 25 hours later. The water broke about 7 hours before I delivered my baby 😊
The moment my mucus plug fell, water broke and baby was out within 30 minutes after ,so I think things are different with everyone , Because I was thinking it's early labor,if not for hubby who insisted we go to the hospital am sure I would have delivered at home
I had the same issue and they monitored me and it was nothing I guess? I'm so confused because I have every symptom of early labor just not actual labor? Which is good because I'm only 30 weeks but still I am so lost lol
Been losing my mucus plug and having prelabor symptoms for over a week. Almost 42 weeks now and so frustrated! Baby is engaged, 3cm dilated 60%effaced and still no regular contractions. Grrrrr
My doctor said I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced yesterday but since then I started having inconsistent contractions all night and my mucus increased a lot. Is it just cause she checked my cervix you think? I’m 37 and 6 today.
I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks before my scheduled c section (baby way in the most awkward breech position and despite being turned in utero, she flipped right back around ... side note she is now 8 years old and stubborn as ever, doing things HER way lol). I had a scheduled check up that day and freaked out, showed the midwife my sanitary pad with mucus plug on it, didn’t even know it was a thing lol. Midwife said it’s all good, and that in the far out tribes in Africa etc the mucus plug is when the pregnant woman starts walking to the nearest village, as it may take her a few days on foot to get there. I thought that was super interesting. I had a super slow labour for 2 weeks but nothing major, it was irritating rather than painful. And baby held on in there until c section day.

I’m due in a week! I absolutely looove pregnancy, makes me feel like she enjoys it to so she’ll want to stick around longer lol, I want to meet her so bad and I think I’m ready to now as much as I’d love her to stay 💕
Ha, same feeling here.
Cannot relate LOL this has been so painful for me 😂
I am 30 weeks pregnant but Im already getting signs.
I love your enthusiasm, positivity and coolness. It makes me excited for birth! 😊
Melissa Shows how long after did you have the baby
@@cooldude-qz3bn I was induced at 39 weeks 3 days. Very easy labor.
Mine to i was likee ewwwww😭
when I was 37 weeks and 5 days I thought I am going to be in labor soon since I lost my mucus plug. But I'm wrong LOL now, at 39 weeks with 1-2cm dilation, I usually feel inconsistent contractions but not a real labor 😅 thanks for this video momma
You are so soothing in your videos!!! I enjoy them!!! Due next week!
Omg... i told my doctor and a few nurses about lightening crotch and they looked at me crazy
What does lightning crotch feel like? I think I’m experiencing it but not sure it it’s something else.
Brilliant, clear, easy to understand thank you for sharing this!
My due date will be 2weeks more 😬 pray for me 😁❤️
You're so close, Mama! So excited for you!
Lost my mucus plug Wednesday and Thursday.... 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant.... any day Lord...I'm so ready.
Update: Successfully had a homebirth! My sweet baby Zaryiah Evie-Joy is two months old today!
how long after you lost your plug did you go into labor?
@@JessiWilsonn a couple of days later.
I lost my mucus plug tonight. Things are happening I can’t wait!!
I’m due in two weeks and nervous but excited, I really appreciate these videos!!
37 weeks, mucus plug came fully out this morning right after the deed, did a membrane sweep and now just intense and closer together.
I‘m not even a mom, I‘m just here for fun and I‘m loving your channel! ❤️❤️
First baby
im 40 weeks 6days Im also experiencing the same ,im still waiting for the contractions that are a no shower ,did you end up giving birth?
Due date is 02/16/22, has early labour signs today but patiently waiting and trusting my baby and body 🙏🏼
Omg your due date is today!!! Blessings to you Mama💚
This was my due date too! Still waiting here tho! 😂 hope all went well with yours! 🥰
I’m getting induced next week can’t wait to meet my baby girl
This is my second baby (: it’s been 9 years ahh lol
I’m 35 weeks pregnant and noticed last night I’ve had clear thick stretchy mucus but it wasn’t a whole lot...this is my third baby.. with this baby I’ve had nothing but menstral cramps
When after the mucus discharge did your labor start?
Thank you you have helped me learn much about preparing for labour since iam trying a first VBAC. God Bless you
39+6 , tomorrow is his due Date.
"Egg whites and jam" well I picked a terrible time to eat breakfast while watching this video 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This made me laugh and gave me a contraction lmao 🤣
Lol same 🤣🤣🤣
I'm 42 weeks and only just now lost my mucus plug.
I had trouble dilating last time too :(
how'd it go
Oh no How'd it go? I'm 41 + 5 with my first. I spent 28 hrs with excruciating contractions yesterday until this morning. Then they suddenly stopped... which I am kind of glad they stopped for a bit because the pain is unreal. Then I lost the plug this afternoon... I don't want to be induced in 2 days Time but I'm also terrified of the pain that's coming. 😫 ahh
@@sukamayoutube2323 that’s what’s happening to me at the moment. How did you go?
Thankyou so much. You simplify and explain so well! Its my baby#4 still finding your videos very helpful.
Thank you for all the information and positivity you give in your videos, I’m 38 weeks and my midwife has been a pen pusher with a cold and condescending attitude. Thank you again ❤️
That's always tough to have a care provider you don't click with... Are you able to switch to someone you get along better with?
Bridget Teyler , sadly not she is the only one at my doctors.
I usually lose my mucas plug first and go into labor anywhere between 6-10 hours later. I’ve experienced seeing the whole thing at one time and also only a small amount. Enough to know when to call my midwife to let her know. I’m overdue right now with my 4th baby and still waiting for it!
I'm only 24 weeks pregnant with my third babe and I'm watching this video because I'm so excited to go through labor and delivery once again!
Due date is less than 2 weeks away! Binging all your content
Due in 4 days, with my first baby ! Needed this video. ❤️
Hey how's your experience. Have you had your baby
I’m 40 weeks today! Thank you!
Been in prodromal labor since last wk. 3cm 80 effaced, and had my bloody show last night and lost the rest of my mucus plug. Cmon lil man!!!
I lost my plug one morning and started with light menstrual-like cramping that day. Went into labor the very next day. Amazing how fast it can happen!
this is exactly what's happening to me, hopefully baby comes soon!
That is what I am experiencing today too!! I’m hoping to have some real progress soon. How did everything go for you two?
@@hilaryowen1160 everything seems to be progression quicker! I'll update if he comes early since im only at 38 + 2 right now
@@hilaryowen1160 how did it go for you ladies ? I lost my plug last night but some more this morning then again this afternoon . This is my first and my contractions are getting stronger but ik it’s probably still early stages but I’m past my due date by a week now ..
That happened to me last week!!
Started watching ur videos recently ..and now watching only your videos regarding labour😍..Love your voice and your way of talk ..keep going dea ..I'm 35 weeks now and waiting for my lil ones arrival ❤️
Due today and we’ve been keeping gender a surprise!! Can’t wait any longer 🥰
hey how did it go?? Boy or girl??
If i have painful period cramps (most likely from endometriosis) will that mean my early labor that people say feels like period cramps will be just as severe? Or will it be different? If that makes sense
Plz keep in mind that every pregnancy is different. Mine did not go thos way as my contractions ce so fast and way earlier than they were supposed to. The doc told me to just relax and take a bath.... Smh! I was already going into labor and almost hady baby at home had I listened to the doc! Listen to your body.
I had my sweep yesterday (38 weeks) and the plug just came away this morning!
Anne Springbok - how soon after it came it you have birth. I had my sweep yesterday and the plug came out in the middle of the night and I am not sure what happens after !!!
@@nadinmustafa9806 did you have it that same day?
Okay I’m almost 39 weeks, dilated 1-2 two days ago when I got checked. Doc could feel baby’s head. I’ve been having steady contractions that last most of the day with cramping and moderate back pain going on 5 days. I just had what sounds like mucous plug come away this morning. Cloudy jelly like with a tinge of brown. You said notify people, do you mean that I should notify my doctor NOW? My next appt is Monday. This will be my first delivery after a mc. Thanks for all your informative videos, I have watched so many! 💓
Do you recommend being at home and chill or go for a walk and be more active through early labor?
I'm due next week! I can not wait. I'm so over pregnancy! I was 2cm last week. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow so I'm looking forward to seeing if I dilated anymore.
Girl how did birth go!? Im 2cm as well as of today and I just can’t take it anymore I just wanna give birth already 😭
I’ve been 2cm for almost 3 weeks now. So over it
In early labour here, re-watching all interesting videos on the topic in between those random irregular first contractions 😁😁 the mucus plug also just came out - was exactly as you described it - white / beige large snot with a bit of blood in it 😉 excitiiing 😁😁
hellloo....m extremly thankful to u for excellent advices. being the first time mom, i found them very helpful
2nd time mom. Refreshing my memory 🤣😫😳
Loving your videos! Second time mama but first hopeful vbac! So just refreshing my memory. Baby due in a few weeks!
Im so glad I found your channel! I’m due in 5 days 😬
Congrats! You got this!!!!!
C G thank you!!
Hope your doing well mama ❤️❤️
Congratulations everyone 💙💓🍾
Due in 4 days 🙏🏽🙏🏽 anxious for his arrival but trying to stay patient ❤️
With my first pregnancy I lost my mucous plug at 3 AM, and had my baby almost 25 hours later. The water broke about 7 hours before I delivered my baby 😊
My mucus plug went as I was going into active labour and my daughter was born 4 hours later 🥴
The moment my mucus plug fell, water broke and baby was out within 30 minutes after ,so I think things are different with everyone , Because I was thinking it's early labor,if not for hubby who insisted we go to the hospital am sure I would have delivered at home
Were you in a lot of pain?
Thank you so much for being so clear about the mucus plug, it is spot on and makes it really clear to me what I just saw in the bowl. Thank you 😊 💓
This is so helpful! I am having this prodromal labor since Saturday and also confused it with braxton hicks.
I had the same issue and they monitored me and it was nothing I guess? I'm so confused because I have every symptom of early labor just not actual labor? Which is good because I'm only 30 weeks but still I am so lost lol
I've had prodomal labour for 5 weeks..
Due on the 31st December this is really useful for when I give birth to my little boy. So relieved 💙💙
Due on the 26th November and I'm already tired of being pregnant
Been losing my mucus plug and having prelabor symptoms for over a week. Almost 42 weeks now and so frustrated! Baby is engaged, 3cm dilated 60%effaced and still no regular contractions. Grrrrr
38 weeks just lost it today, can’t wait ❤️
Did you go into labor shortly after?
My doctor said I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced yesterday but since then I started having inconsistent contractions all night and my mucus increased a lot. Is it just cause she checked my cervix you think? I’m 37 and 6 today.
I lost my mucus plug the same day I gave birth. My water was broken and the baby came out in under two pushes.
You are blessed
I'm a certified doula and I totally agree with this!
Your all the videos are so much helpful and knowledgeable 👍
Love from Malaysia for you Bridget! I'm hoping my vbac will be natural n gentle Birth-EDD on 24th Jan 2020. Love all your videos, I'm downloading it and watching it everyday. It's really empowering and educate me. Thank you. Love and hugs for you!!
Farhana Hussaini..Did you have your baby at your due date or before?
